Five Nights at Freddy's fandom

I think the only thing I've ever enjoyed from FNAF was the Creepypastas that some of my favorite Creepypasta narrators did... and that's probably only because of the people reading it and not the actual content.

My friend gifted me FNAF so we could, like, do some sort of Let's Play of it. That really didn't go as well as we were expecting and I've tried playing it on my own and getting remarkably bored by it, and I enjoyed Slender and Surgeon Simulator. When it's basically "flail wildly around so that you can't get surprised by a robot," you lose my interest. I'm pretty sure that it's only popular because people like Markiplier said it was scary and shit.

I suppose the one thing that I've gotten from FNAF is that... people will fap to anything. They've fapped to ponies, they've fapped to gems, and now they're fapping to a bunch of machines with kids stuffed in them. If there was ever an argument that society was growing more deviant and we should be stricter about controlling sexual impulses, FNAF would be on the top of that list of complaints.

What did he think was gonna happen "Oh man, those ghosts will never think to look in here!"
Not to mention he should have known that those suits contain sensitive parts - particularly those spring locks that just take a little moisture to come loose, then the animatronic parts expand inside the suit and that's why that Golden Bonnie suit is called Springtrap.

Like damn, just listen to what Phone Guy says about those special suits, that'll probably prevent some dismemberment.
Gah I hate the FNAF fandom. The games are okay, but the fandom is full of people who are basically underaged furries. They've got the mary suish self-inserts to boot:

I haven't even played the games and I'm only interested in that convoluted lore and how it all ties together. Even if it isn't particulatly deep or complex, a story can interest me if there's enough mystery behind it. That said, yeah the fandom is a goddamn katamari of autism and it kinda ruins it for me.

I wonder how the creator Scott Cawthon feels about the hardcore, creepy fans. I heard that he's apparently somewhat religious (he's apparently part of an organization to teach kids about Jesus. This is just something I heard, so don't quote me on this or anything), so I can't imagine he's too thrilled about it.

I almost wish the Tumblr subforum was around for the Rebornica shitstorm that occurred.

They were considered the one who came up with the most popular Tumblr head canon of Vincent as the Purple guy along with most of the security guards.

In general their posts got thousands of notes and they eventually ragequit the FNAF fandom because people were taking shit too seriously. However now they're working on some comic that literally has their portrayal of Purple Guy or "Vincent" as their protagonist.

They also identify as Deoxys and caused someone to commit suicide but that's for another thread.
But overall Rebornica is the source of most bullshit of humanizing killer animatronics and romanticizing Purple Guy. Oh and shipping him with Phone Guy. Seriously.

So this is the same story about spergs romanticizing/sexualizing murderers/monsters because autism. First it was Slenderman and Jeff the Killer in creepypasta, now it's the purple serial killer from FNAF. In other threads I think we've discussed that this phenomenon is called Bonnie and Clyde Syndrome? Ladies having boners for criminals because they are *bad boys*.

Dude made religious sunday school-type games before he struck paydirt (he also did an interview on some christian games blog where he talked about his faith if I recall) so I doubt he's too big a fan. Scott's a pretty cool guy though so I'm sure he just ignores them as much as possible and tries to focus on the people who don't touch themselves to serial killers.

I'm sure he would be creeped along with annoyed by hardcore creepy fans. For one, he'd as hell be disturbed by all the porn FNAF has gotten and annoyed by any one trying to email him a shipping fan-fic involving the security and possessed robo-fursuits.

No doubt he'd ignore them though it wouldn't mean he won't be able to avoid all the autism that gets leaked by the fans.

Why do you make a guy who kills kids sexy
Why in God's name, why

He's probably a pedo, too. That's the really sickening thing.

As far as I know he's never been given an official motive for the murders. Did he do it because he's a sexual deviant? Just to see if he could? Because he hates kids? Is he just crazy? Whatever the reason, he's not a character you're supposed to sympathize with.

I can understand humanizing the animatronics to an extent but never purple guy.

Yeah, we literally know nothing about the Purple Man except that he's a purple guy, he kills kids and he worked/works at Freddy's. He has zero personality beyond killing kids

I believe this is the game he made right before FNAF (and where he got the soul eating animal concept from):

This was made for iOS and Android by the way, not early 2000s PC.

My god, that fucking chipmunk looks like he's staring into my soul. That's creepier than the entirety of the FNAF franchise.

And that was why he made FNAF actually, because of that very remark. Not joking.

But yeah, the fans for this take the cringe of furries, creepypasta, and tumblr and turn it into its own concoction.

This is the only acceptable re imagining of The Purple Man

Dude actually looks like a sleazeball who likes killing kiddies AS HE SHOULD
I actually found this some time ago. Some film makers made a little horror short that is suppose to take place after the third game.

THIS is how Purple Guy should be portrayed. A creepy, psychopathic, middle aged man.

This goes without saying, but the FNAF fandom and its demented mentality in general horrifies me more than the actual games.

The games: Lol there are jumpscares depicted in Donkey Kong Country graphics whatevs.

The fandom: Rule 34 + weird fetishes + rampant hybristophilia depicting monsters as super kawaii = NOPE :cryblood:

That's actually a pretty well done short too, Purple guy actually spooked me a bit in that video but that's nothing compared to the hybristophillic fandom depictions.

Also I found a spoof commercial for Freddy Fazbear's Pizza by the same crew, that could fool someone into thinking it's a commercial for an actual restaurant without the context that it's based on a work of fiction.
