I think Scott has confirmed some of the things MatPat has said before. He's probably closer to making any sense of the lore than anyone else.
I always thought matpat wasn't trying to make accurate content but "entartaining" clickbait bullshit for causal players to watch.
That was before FNAF came. The more FNAF games made, the more "theory" videos he made of it, and the more egotistical he got due to the rabid fanbase thinking he was god and that his scriptures were accurate and law. Like 12 of them called "Fazbear Frights" only bothered to read the first one on some russian eBook site which probably gave my info to Vladimir himself but in general they are a series of anthology books which aren't that connected to the main canon and can be summed up into: Person from a certain age range are unsatisfied with an aspect of their life -> They find themselves on the way of some fucking robot/magical thing/whatever the fuck some of these things are at this point -> Either they enjoy of the effects that the robot in question brings to their lives/struggle because it's actively trying to kill them -> It kills them with a twist on their dream or escape with their lives and permanently scarred for life.
There is something cathartic about a franchise imploding after the fans drove off the creator from his work. At least this time there was a conclusion before the creator left.
