Five Nights At Freddy's

More like Book bait. Ya want to know what the mimic is, and why it's locked down there? WELL YA BETTER GO BUY THE BOOKS BUCKO(Or just check the FNAF wiki).
This is gonna be more forgivable if they actually clarify what the mimic is in the next game for people that don't read the books and the stories only serve to expande on him rather than replace an actual in game explanation (but I have a feeling that's not gonna happen, lol)

The mimic does deserve to appear in the actual game since he's been retconned into being the bad guy from the past 3 games after how poorly burntrap did, but he's gonna require a lot more buildup to compensate for that instead of just "read the books" I hope it's not like Henry again where they shoehorn a character from the books (which Scott at the time said that should not be used to solve the games, bear in mind) to compensate for lack of alternatives for storytelling

I know this series' lore has basically relied into watching outside material to understand, but at the very least you can make your own theories based on what's in the games, but from a narrative standpoint, having to rely on books to understand the basic story of a game is just atrocious

It's the Kingdom Hearts situation, except not to an extreme degree.

In KH's case, you had to jump to the PS2, GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS, PS4, Web Browser game, and Mobile game just to piece the lore together, which even to this day STILL isn't finished due to KH3, it's DLC and Kairi's musical adventure on the switch leaving everyone on a cliffhanger for the next game to come.

People are mad at Phisnom on Twitter because he doesn't like Ruin and because he allegedly "mocked a teen for being sent gore and death threats.", so people want him gone from the fanverse now. (Honestly, I feel like he would celebrate if that happened, since he clearly doesn't like the series, I don't know why he's in the community)

No, it's because he did a stream on the dlc that he didn't want to play and basically intentionally acted like dsp and started acting passive agressive towards his fans for making him play, being insufferable, refused to pay attention to the game and barely even commented on anything during his playthrough to """epically troll""" his fans for asking him to play a fucking game (while still receving those precious donations mind you)

The result is one of the most boring and uninteresting streams I had the displeasure of watching

Again, maybe it was not intentional for him to act as boring as possible to fuck with people but it definetly seems like it

To be honest the hate for that is very silly overdone but I guess people are right for being a bit upset because he basically acts more like a spoiled, immature and condescending faggot towards his own audience rather than trolling them in a funny and cool way when he could easily have not played the thing if he didn't want to and ignore the comments

(as for the gore stuff, he could easily have not posted anything and and not act like a faggot and a manchild on Twitter, but I guess this is too hard for this kind of people)

So I guess FNaF Plus is just never coming out? If he's not interested in FNaF anymore I wonder what even drives him to keep working on it. I remember a couple of months back someone got so tired of waiting for the official one they made their own version of FNaF+ and it looks pretty neat honestly, for being a fanmade game of a fanmade reimagining of a game. If that fan version was able to complete when it was then I suspect the official version will also be coming out soon as well, but I don't know, something tells me it will not be released for a while if ever.

But hey I respect his ability to stir shit up in an already chaotic community and just not give a damn about anything.

I don't know, it sounds like a joke, but it's completely in character for Phil to do something this whiny out of spite towards the fandom he's willingly in.
When I saw some videos of him, I thought he was playing a persona, but no, he's just Like That, even on streams.

Just in case anyone is confused, let me summarize the drama he got into

1-It starts with autists being mad at Phil for not liking ruin
2-One 16 year old faggot kid makes a satire tweet to poke fun at them
3-Phil's fanboys take double retard points by dm'ing him gore (for thinking he was being serious), which he posts proof that happened
4-Phil takes triple retard points by blocking the kid on twitter
5-Phil takes quadruple retard points by joking about it instead of saying for them to stop regardless if true or not
Phagsnom.png
6-Phil takes quintuple retard points by posting a fake apology doc that leads to a rickroll
Release fnaf + already faggot.png
7-Phil takes sixfold retard points by blocking the kid even after he tried sending him proof
Screenshot 2023-08-01 at 20-45-14 Alex ! ⭐ (CHECK PINNED TWEET!) on Twitter.png
8-Phil releases an half assed "apology" (5 hours later) only after being called out and asked to be fired, he doesn't even bother apologizing to the kid or adressing why he didn't tell them off earlier
Le Mimic.png

Instead he offers the brilliant solution of blocking them from his twitter because that's literally all he knows
InkedLe Mimic.jpg
InkedHere.jpg

-Phil's fans raided the kid's discord server to troll him and he bitched about it on twitter

-In typical Twitter addict fashion, he considered self harming for this and needed fucking twitter users to calm him down

On one hand, it is funny as fuck how this dude gives ZERO shits about some dude who got sent gore, asks for people to send him death threats and puts up a fake apology.
On the other hand, nigga you've shitposted through all that and NOW you're feeling bad that your fans sent gore to someone? Phisnom seems like an insufferable faggot, but when he willingly chooses to fuck with people it can lead to some funny moments like this. Too bad he's caught Troll's remose for it I guess..

There is something so special about Five Nights at Freddy's the moment before the fanbase started catching on and making porn about it. The idea of reinventing strategy with jumpscares and pushing people to it's limits was a combination kind of fresh in people's minds during it's inception. Even though a plethora of jumpscares don't add much horror to the game, I can surely agree they will get to me time and time again. Especially when your mind is set in beating the objective in the hardest difficulty. It's a phenomenon I can truly respect despite the Toxic Fandom. Also one of YouTube's funniest trolls Super Minecraft Kid in 2015 making a hyperbolic character out of them.

it's because in (almost all) horror games, you at least have control of your character to get the fuck away from scary thing in front of you or kill the scary thing in front of you. With FNAF (before the steelwool games at least) you're locked into one spot, and the threat isn't freform moving around, so it's the tension of "i know they're fucking coming, I just don't know when!!" and that, added onto the fact that you can't do shit to stop the incoming attack (which ammounts to having your eardrums blown up and your heart going a bajilion miles an hour from said eardrums exploding) is what made the games scary.

Tension is something that's lost in a lot of horror games because they all seem to go for that Hollywood trope of having gore gross things come at you with weapons pretruding from their bodies and lots of things exploding. It's why people flock to japanese (or anything asian) horror more because they at least know how to still do tension somewhat. Same with vidya. (what with the the spoopy yokais and Fatal Frame games)

I do remember that movie known as The Thing released in 1982 where a group of people are isolated in a research base in Antarctica with no way out. A strange alien thing known for mutating it's host provokes a newfound fear where people respond to trying to destroy and quarantine the thing as much as possible. To this day, it remains one of the scariest movies I have seen. The 1999 film Audition explores the extreme fringes of human mentality which suggests the extreme risks of allowing anyone on board with your life. Something I see manifest in so many production teams whether it is within or a stranger. The failed Assassination of Andy Warhol in 1968 is a very good example of this. It's this kind of thing I don't see much in horror anymore. Instead of reinventing the genre they go for maximizing profits. I can see why this also led to a newfound appreciation for games such as Nijyuei and Subarashiki Hibi despite being eroge. Even amongst the most brutal such as Sayooshi that has horrendously confused critics during it's inception.

The Ruin DLC reminds of "The Doctor Who Cloned Me" DLC from Duke Nukem Forever.

What they have in common is that they are both DLC of very underwhelming games that ultimately feel like they address legit issues with the game or at least minimized as much as possible, further proving that there was indeed a good game in the base experience.

To quote Civvie, "I hate this DLC, not because its bad, but because it shows what could have been."

From what I've seen, it still has it's issues though. Supposedly there's a bug in which you can't really tell if you've deactivated all the little floor board robots because once you complete a chapter or section in said chapter, the ones that were still alive become dead and can't be counted as alive when you go to replay the chapter to get a "complete" ending.

Markiplier was fucking pissed about this in his recent video.

Remember Dormitabis? That fnaf fan game that was made by a pedo, someone has decided to remaster the game and has released recently

They improved the game by having better graphics, removed the original's most hated mechanic (golden call and the typing stuff), changed various mechanics from the existing characters and added new ones

But most importantly, changed the lore to remove all of the pedo rapist stuff and also it seems they have changed the villain's motive for him to be way less poorly written.
Also the remaster has no involvement from the original creator Blackout, who was the pedo.

I've been playing and I actually am enjoying it, I've only found two tapes but Garvey is already 100% less insufferable than he was in the orignal. Seems like a pretty good deal with liked the franchise but didn't want to play a game associated with Blackout.

Its not perfect but its a significant improvement. The base game is easily 3/4 out of 10 while Ruin is a 6.5/7 out of 10. It just confirms the potential was truly there.

I remember people shitting on the games for relying on jumpscares (I don't know if they still talk about that, but the games never really did that) but the gameplay loop and atmosphere the games created was genuinely really good for reasons like that. The series would not be nearly as popular as people think it would be if you were walking around the restraunt with a flashlight doing tasks or looking for pages or some shit, while occasionally outrunning some threat or hiding in a locker and hoping they never think to check the most obvious hiding spot ever.

I noticed that if you deactivate them, and then immediately take the mask off, it plays the dying animation again, which probably has something to do with the glitch you mentioned. Might be some issue with saving progress on them across the dual maps. There's also the pretty infamous warping that can occur, due to the AR/normal maps being layered on top of each other, where the game fucks up putting you on the other one and launches you into the air. I haven't had that one happen to me, though, so it seems to be pretty geometry specific. It might also be why the musicmen seemed to be fucked up and not moving properly at the bowling section.

I swear there's like 3 or 4 at this point. Didn't the Flumpty's guy get accused of e-dating a kid a while back? I can't remember the exact details.

An update about my previous post about the Phil drama

Good news, Phisnom has had all credit from him removed from the FNAF + store page, and also has been banned from the discussion forum of his own game

Once this project's death is made official, I hope the dev build gets released or leaked. I'm curious what the hell they were doing with this game that made it take 3+ years to develop despite being just a remake/port of the most technologically simple game in the franchise.
