Five Nights At Freddy's

There is something so special about Five Nights at Freddy's the moment before the fanbase started catching on and making porn about it. The idea of reinventing strategy with jumpscares and pushing people to it's limits was a combination kind of fresh in people's minds during it's inception. Even though a plethora of jumpscares don't add much horror to the game, I can surely agree they will get to me time and time again. Especially when your mind is set in beating the objective in the hardest difficulty. It's a phenomenon I can truly respect despite the Toxic Fandom. Also one of YouTube's funniest trolls Super Minecraft Kid in 2015 making a hyperbolic character out of them.
The original will always be scary because of the simple premise and incredible amounts of tension and atmosphere. Especially the couple of times you check the backstage camera and see Bonnie right up close with the demon eyes. Good stuff. FNAF 3 and Pizzaria sim replicated a lot of it with their premises too.
It's a shame the other games went further into the "lmao child serial killer" and "lmao hidden weapons to abduct children" tropes instead of keeping it simple and mysterious as to the animatronics and their origins/motives.

Wait, wasn't this Plus remake finished? And now it's just gone forever unless someone drops a mega? Amazing faggotry here, I was kinda excited.
For the time being, it's lost media.

That is assuming it ever got that far into production where we have playable builds
I honestly doubt Phil used those three years to make anything playable. And even if he did, I can kinda see Phil as the type of guy to leave everything to rot on his desktop or some mega or google drive only he knows about, or just go on some scorched earth bullshit and delete it all.

hope he didnt do a Lord Bung and spend those years animating consent accidents.

Man the FNAF fandom really creates it own dramas. always someone being caught being a douch, pedo, or something simple as having wrong think in 2023.

Has the Fanverse initiative produced anything since its start? Besides physical merch? I'm trying to think if any games came out of it. Kind of wished they didn't fully cancelled FNAF Plus too and just pushed it out. what phinsom did was dumb, but I don't think it was at the level of scrapping something that's been years in the work and funded. I can understand removing his name though and having another team finish the work.

Also, I was surprised we didn't get any new teasers or content from Scott and steel wool for FNAF anniversary this week. Thought there be another movie teaser, help wanted 2 trailer, or something.

There might not have been anything to release in the first place. As far as I remember, Phis never provided any tangible proof that FNAF+ was finished when he claimed it was (and phis is known for saying stupid shit when he's in rage mode), and the guy who supposedly had a copy later admitted he didn't. I think it's still likely that FNAF+ was vaporware up to this point.

Realistically I hope the publishers weren't stupid enough to let him sit on his ass for 3 years without even a prototype build, but the fact they nuked the game means it was more than likely no where near done so they couldn't even release it to make any investment back.
I would be interested in seeing a version of this leak one day, if only to make phil mad about his work being picked apart and shared without a seeing a single cent.

EDIT: So phils firing has fucked over the creator "Backseat", a twitch streamer and youtuber who had a Fnaf1 video featuring phil that has been delisted.

Well there was indeed a teaser for it, but it isn't much

There's also been a few teasers for popgoes, but the rest were all merch announcements, you can see it and the page from the fnaf wiki:

Wow such a great teaser, scott is shitting himself.

But seriously, scott made some of the best game teasers (especially for fnaf 2). This just uses the first help wanted assets without the melted together characters and fanart.

Here's an interesting question for all of you: What times have you noticed "officially sanctioned" (fanverse not really counting) FNAF games clearly displaying coomerbait?
I remember when Freddy in Space 2 came out I saw the artwork and thought: "Scott. How the fuck did you sign off on this?".
I didn't know whether he was extremely naive or just didn't care at that point. Either way, it set an omen for things to come.
The new designs in Security Breach were very thunk-worthy (their proportions set off my autism geiger counter) and I don't know whether the internet has turned me schizo or not but I am dead certain that the daycare was - to a significant degree - implemented because it gave people on the team a boner.

Not entirely what you were asking, but I find it interesting the one animatronic that got redemption in the new DLC happened to be the one everyone wanted to bang the most out of Security Breach's roster.

It helped that she was effectively the only one with hints of a personality. Monty's a violent animal and Chica's whole gimmick is eating out of the trash. The three seconds of Roxy talking to herself in front of the mirror is about the only character depth anyone (besides Freddy) gets in SB. Which feels like a massive waste of potential, but that's SB for you.

also nice to see something stop-motion for a change.
Its actually made in Blender, but I can forgive you for not thinking that as it looks amazing.
But drama-wise....it just reveals that the mask the voice actors were wearing was the same as the artists who wore it: people who believe they are "unreplacable" and when a replacement/better artist comes along, they'll do everything to destroy it. Like a pitbull to a baby.
