Five Nights At Freddy's

Like many others have said, the film was ok but underwhelming. I expected the movie to be all about survival, but was met with Freddy and the gang playing pillow fort with a kid. Also after coming back home, I was wondering why they didn't show Golden Freddy, only to realize that they did show him, he was the blue-eyed bear lol. To give credits to where it's due, the animatronics and the pizzeria itself looked amazing and it did stick to the original story of FNAF 1, for the most part.
 
Watched it yesterday.

It was mediocre-decent. You would have to be a total retard with stupid expectation to call this bad.
The critics are sniffing farts.

The first part if mostly have setting up the situation and explaining why Mike is forced to take that job.
Crazy how dead bodies are unaccounted for by the police.


5 dead children in animatronics costumes, 4 dead guys, 2 dead women (one at home) and still no investigation.
The film changed and mixed a lot of things. Vanessa being Afton's daughter actually makes sense in the movie. Wish they showed the gas lighting more. Like it would have been cool if Afton was able to make her drop the gun just by talking.
I really don't get the idea of the kids being manipulated by Afton. Like it's dead spirits that have been brutaly killed it would make sense for them to be like that no need to make up something to explain why they kill people.
Wish Mike's brother died in something Fazbear related and Mike knew it. It would have been cool if the protag actually want to actively solve the mystery.

Did Scott ever decide who's gonna be taking the reigns for fnaf after the politisperging debacle? Or did everyone stop giving a fuck and giving him flack for it and accepted him with open arms again?

He stopped being the main writer ages ago, IIRC. At best, he sets guidelines and oversees other people's writing of his stuff, which I guess can be be considered taking loose reigns
If he ever addresses the bitching, which he'll have to if he ever took full control again, I'm sure he'll say one thing but think this:

Is it a "creator took it down because people whined at him about using AI and he kowtowed" situation? I feel like, over the next couple years, it's going to reach a point where the people who do end up using it already expect the rage, so they won't back down when it happens. Right now it seems like people use it thinking "Oh, this is really cool and interesting" only to be met with "You should kill yourself NOW for using AI and putting VA's out of work!" and not expecting the vitriol.

I don't really get the problem with using it for phone guy, especially. I mean, Scott's not going to do it, right? Is getting an impersonator from the community really that important? It's a fangame, so it's not like they'd be doing it for some big VA paycheck.

Wait, I just checked the comments on the video above your post. Is it that Scott Cawthon's getting it shut down? I'm really surprised at that. Is he actually going to sue somebody over this shit? Sounds farfetched. Shit, I guess it is true, at least that he got them to take it down.

Guess that's a pretty big demarcation for using AI in fan works. I wouldn't expect most of the VA staff to sign off on it if requested.

At least Scott has an understandable reason for it. It's not out of a blind hatred for ML technology, nor for the VA money, but simply due to the fact that he finds it uncomfortable that anyone can take someone's voice and replicate it to say anything without their consent.

All he asks for is that if someone's gonna do that, that they should first ask for permission of the person whose voice they want to use. And that alone already makes his opinion way more valuable that everyone else's who just despise anything ML related because they got indoctrinated into believing it's the antichrist.

Or just being terrified that a glorified calculator can outdo their shitty mediocre work. But people like that can either git gud or git fukd.

Watched the film with my brother. I really liked it. Crazy how heartwarming the horror film was, with the sibling relations being played pretty straight and realistic. The actual animatronic controlled by ghosts part was ridiculous and the movie just had fun with it rather than even attempt a plot. The funniest thing is how the film's moral is how you shouldn't be stuck over analyzing shit and stick to the present real life, literally telling the fans to touch grass.

Also surprising how white the main cast was, I think the only black character that wasn't a cameo was the special needs school principal.
