So the box means nothing now but meant something, then? At some point, Scott thought of a concept out of the box but never could tie it back to the game. He initially thought out the box reveal, but over time, the game's story (four games, one story) couldn't nicely knit everything together. The box is a red herring, causing the community to get stuck in the dumb idea paradox for over a decade. There was SOMETHING in it, but Scott rushing out a "finale" to the series made it more confusing than it should be.

Phone Guy specifies that the victim of the Bite of 87 was a child. Jeremy Fitzgerald, a wagie of Fazbear Entertainment, is an adult who can receive a paycheck without parental need. That means that FNAF 4's side story was initially meant to be set in 1987, with the minigames happening around FNAF 2. It would make sense, considering none of the newspaper clippings or phone guy himself acknowledge a child getting their frontal lobe removed by a walking robot during the main game of 2. The 1983 Fredbear and Friends episode on CC's TV was meant to convey how long Fazbear as a brand was active. In my opinion, the box was a metaphor for traumatic memories that are too hard to linger back on. These memories were what connected everything back together. I wonder what other ideas that autistic children are obsessed over have become null in the modern series? Perhaps Scott relies on the concept of synchronicity due to the Toy Chica beak being removed in FNAF 2 and FNAF 4.

I was expecting something stupid like a clothing brand.
Funny story about that, yesterday, as people were waiting for the announcement, Markiplier's clothing brand started teasing fnaf stuff on their website, and people assumed that was the collab

People sperged out so bad about this that cloak needed to come out and say they weren't and also remove fnaf stuff from their website

Apparently it was just merch for the anniversary, but the timing and the silence from Scott definetly didn't help, as well how long it took for fnaf x dbd to be announced.

off-topic but does anyone else remember markiplier making a movie adaptation of that one submarine game
has he released that yet

Terrible name.
I think that even shortening it to "FNaF: The Mimic" would've been apt, something about that longer title just feels wrong for the next big game, the others were more generic but distinct and intriguing enough like Sister Location, Security Breach and Ruin.
They're really gonna be pushing that thing, huh? I'd rather just have William come back for the 80th time.
With them seemingly confirming that the Mimic is part of the origin, I'll be very curious to see if it's just their new-very convenient plot device to rewrite quite a bit of the story we understand so far, one idea that jumped to my mind is if they'll rewrite the missing kids incident to actually have been the Mimic using the Springbonnie costume (if that's possible) or something retarded like that.

Oh man please don't say that. Cause I can see that shit happening if they did reveal it at the end of the game. I don't know if it be a Scott thing or a steel wool thing, for during his latest interview he stated how he didn't like how steel wool told security breach story. specifically burntrap and how they had a different interpretation for what Scott was going for. :stress:

Iron Lung. Not heard anything about it since finding out Mark wouldn't have a FNAF cameo because he was working on it.
From what I understand, the movie's finished filming and is now in post-production. Not entirely sure beyond that, though.

The FNaF Kart demo is out. Heard reports of it crashing a lot.
I might play it later if its not a giant install and make a review.

I'm watching a stream of Into The Pit and it has frozen thrice already. He's not even done the intro yet.
edit: It softlocks every time he talks to these two kids that you have to talk to, meaning he can't even beat the prologue. :story:
