Five Nights At Freddy's

Haven't played it, only seen the video where the fox rushes the office, almost shit myself, vow to never play by myself.

Any things better than the rule34 art of the game...

Because of course that exists.
Considering how there are some images in the Know Your Meme gallery that makes them look like "stupid sexy animatronic", it will exist. Funny thing is, they are basically making such art of a animatronic in a fur-suit.

shrugs A fetish is a fetish...

By the way, remember that comic I posted that gave a bunch of you the feels?

Found the artist...and he's done more Freddy comics. I just posted one in the image thread

You know, I've been thinking about something, and I've even talked about it with my brother and a few people on chat. You guys know how when Amnesia became big it spawned a bunch of really shitty clones, particularly Slender and other similar Amnesia wannabes that were Let's Play fads for a short period of time before everyone forgot about them and moved on? Since this seems to happen often when a big influential horror game comes out, I'm wondering if over time, Freddy's will accidentally spawn a bunch of shitty copycat games like Amnesia did.

I could see someone taking a creepypasta, let's say, Happy Appy or Abandoned by Disney, and just turning it into a Freddy ripoff. Hell, this seems to happen with big influential games in general. Look at what happened with the original Sanic and Mario 64 back in the 90's.

I fail to see how it's influential. It sounds like just a better executed version of Night Trap that finally caught on.
While I've seen a lot of people compare it to Night Trap, the only real similarity I can see is the fact that both games involve security cameras, but gameplay wise they're nothing alike. There's never really been any other horror game I can think of that traps you in one place that you cannot leave, with only nonviolent security tech to defend yourself when the bad guys begin closing in on you. Good ideas that haven't been executed correctly or even done at all in the past are often copied by inexperienced developers and con artists.

I could also see a lot of developers just taking the core gameplay behind Freddy's, not doing what actually made the game intense and unnerving, and just using a generic spooky scary theme (Like a haunted house filled with ghosts, cryptids, or zombies) to try and cash in on the success of Five Nights.

I was actually just thinking this too. Due to the large amount of shitty Simulator clones on Greenlight currently it wouldn't surprise me at all if these same developers starting clinging to the FNAF hype.

If the FNAF hype were to bring these clones, no doubt you'd have clones involving something like a serial killer, zombies, or even your own mother whom you'd have to keep an eye on before shutting the door to keep yourself safe from a knife/bite/scolding.

Don't forget the possibility of time-displaced/genetically created dinosaurs!

I think this goes to show how insanely desperate some people are for a really out there fantasy to fuel their self-fuckings of the day. You have murderous entertainment robots that maim people because of macabre programming errors. The internet sees this and gets a raging hard-on, thinking "I want these guys to brutally fuck me so hard that nearby people fear that this is a never before seen act of war and WHATCON 1 is enacted!".

It just amazes me to see how far the weirder parts of the web have taken this, and how it isn't just a ruse to either piss people off or make the animatronics less spooky scary. I've learned something today that I never thought any man would have to learn about. If something even slightly resembles a human, or anything that can be fucked, the internet will furiously mash their lovemakers to it.
Hate to be the one to tell you this, but at this point the weirder part of the web IS the web. It's why things like 4chan and rule34 have existed as long as they have. That filter in people's brains shuts off when online.

ON-TOPIC, I love how the game actually ends once you beat the last night. There's almost a statement on the job economy if you look at it the right way
