Five Nights At Freddy's

*sigh* Fazbear tricked me again..

Night 4 is hell on Earth. I'm too shit scared of Bonnie and Foxy and how easily they can grab you when your back's turned to leave the left door open for long, yet at the same time, Chica is much more erratic now and she's rather quiet too, so I have to monitor the right hallway and anything leading to it constantly. (:_( Both Bonnie and Chica were closing in on me at the same time to the sound of those ominous footsteps and mechanical noises here and there, and Foxy was just about to leave his post to get my booty. Shit just got so intense I had to exit the game and stop for a bit.

Never has any other vidya done that to me, which is why I adore this game as much as I do.

Foxy is actually the least scary robot to me. He just looks goofy with his half closed eyes and slack jaw. The way he leans into the room doesn't help his scare factor either.
Foxy's actually my favorite because he's the scariest one to me. Like all the others, even Freddy as disturbing as hell as he is, don't move too suddenly and as long as you keep an eye on them you're fine. Foxy on the other hand completely breaks this. While you're busy worrying about the other guys moving around you completely forget to check on him, you switch the camera to the west hallway and suddenly you him in a dead sprint to the office and you're in such a panic you can't close the door in time so you end up with Foxy breaking in and screaming like a maniac while waving his hook around. Plus him being all broken and ratty and the fact that he changes his out of order sign to say "it's me" make him freaky too

The hat probably says it all.

I really liked the idea of the founder being deluded and having a really unhealthy obsession with his creations, while at the same time, he's not a complete psycho or even a very malicious person. I think it might be a little too sad or possibly too heartwarming for something like this, but I think it also could easily be very creepy. I hope you guys enjoy another big spergy Freddy theory!

The founder had a very supportive family that cared for him as much as any family could, but for his whole life didn't really have much of anything resembling a social life outside of his own family. He created Freddy's to not only entertain children and their parents alike, but he also created the entertainment franchise to act as a child-like fantasy world he could too partake in, and even live in. He put a lot of effort into making sure the animatronics were as lifelike as technology would allow them to be at the time, and over time he began to see them as people he cared about dearly rather than just entertaining high end machines he was proud of.

It got to the point that he considered them the best friends he had outside of his family, and maybe even a part of his family. This became evident when his family and business associates began noticing him talking to the animatronics, not in a playful way, but in the way you would when talking to a human being. He would even mention that they told him something or that he had a good conversation with them in a non-joking manner.

It got bad enough that he would often spend the night at the pizzeria, and would put more effort into Freddy's than he would his own family life. When his relatives pointed this out and told him it needed to stop, he would get very upset and respond as if they were telling him to stay away from a place and people he loved to no end. When they succeeded in having him take a break from Freddy's, he would always come back to them and mention how much "Freddy and his pals" missed him while he was gone, again, in a completely serious manner.

He even didn't want to acknowledge that there may be carcasses inside of his company's robots, not only to avoid a grim reality, but also because of the fact that if there were, it would get Freddy's reputation ruined and have them shut down for good, destroying his fantasy world. The worst for him was that it would require disassembling the animatronics piece by piece, possibly damaging the impressive hardware makes them as alive as they are in the process.

By the time Freddy's was shut down by the health department and he could no longer visit the animatronics, he was more deluded than ever, mourning what he believed to be the death of the "most magical friends he's ever had". After Freddy's closure, he would try everything he could to "resurrect" the animatronics in his own home to bring back the "magic" that meant so much to him, albeit with little to no success as he no longer had the resources he had in his company and no longer worked with a team.

At this point, the founder was more isolated than ever before in his life, having only his memories and his delusions about Freddy's fantasy land to comfort him in this unhappy time in his life.

The world of Freddy Fazbear and his friends were essentially the only real world this mentally ill man ever knew.

I thought that the Fazbear Entertainment owner being a complete psychopath/serial killer would have just been really boring and predictable, so I thought the idea of a deluded, severely mentally ill person who doesn't necessarily have evil intentions had potential.
Would one also count the possibility of having a rich family or well connected friends, considering the animatronics and the doors and trying to keep Fazbear Entertainment open even after the Bite of 87?

For some reason this game has made me interested in looking up experiences and info about shitty often potentially dangerous night shift jobs. I've heard working the night shift for anything in general is often a pretty unpleasant experience, so I guess that just relates to my love of all things weird and unnerving.

Anything interesting coming up from checking out that stuff?

Not as of yet, but I remember before Freddy's was released I read a few night shift horror stories, and even read a few good night shift job themed creepypastas. I guess Freddy's just reminded me how interesting and broad it can be as a theme.

I have to say the scariest thing for me at the moment in this game is when you turn on the left light and Bonnie is looking through the door.

I've become desensitized to getting killed by Foxy, but whenever you put the tablet down and Bonnie/Chica attacks it still makes me jump out of my chair.

Is it just me or would Freddy's be the most metal "family friendly" restaurant ever? Within the context of the game, I could see Freddy Fazbear's Pizza regaining popularity and having the same type of appeal Action Park had in the 80's and 90's where tons of people go to it, either as a dare or at their own volition, just because of it's reputation of being extremely dangerous.

I could also see people breaking into the pizzeria or camping on the outside of it at night for Halloween just to see if the spooky urban legends were true.
