Five Nights At Freddy's

I actually jumped when Foxy came in.

Now this game is even more crazier with a door in front of you.

But this raises the question; how will you keep them out this time? There's no doors at all.

Looking over the trailer several times, there's now individual lights for the cameras in some areas, which leads me to believe that this game is going to involve the animatronics moving around faster, and the player having to look around for them a lot more, as it is easy to note that in the video, the spots the lights shine on are pitch black. This might give the damn things opportunities to escape into another room as soon as you double-check the room to see if what you saw wasn't just your imagination.

Again, this is entirely speculation.

Holy shit, this looks awesome. Not like the usual sequels to anticipated horror games, but actually even better than the first. My bet, it's also going to be a lot tougher in terms of difficulty.

The way how I read how the sets of animatronics work is that the old ones function the exact same as the previous game. The new animatronics won't attack you on your own because they have facial recognition software and know that you're not an endoskeleton. The new animatronics hate the old ones because of how they're falling apart and everything (the common guess being the old ones were kept around for scrap) so they're basically hunting them around the pizza place. The thing about it is, you have no doors now.

The only thing you can do to hide is to put on a Freddy Fazbear mask. The thing about this though is that this only fools the old animatronics. As for the new ones? If you wear the mask in front of them, they attack you because they think you're one of the broken animatronics. It's a game of "should I" or "should I not" with putting the mask on, because one wrong move and oh fuck, that's one of the new ones, you're dead.

The idea of the old and new animatronics not liking each other sounds pretty good. It looks like it's implied that Old Foxy tore apart New Foxy.

The mask may not fool the original Freddy though (if he surprise attacks you like in the first), so you still have to watch him carefully. Old Freddy might also be the failure state if power goes out again (or even worse, you see the original Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy all at once). Foxy though looks more difficult to defend against. Maybe you either only have a split second to put on the mask before he tackles you, or you just have to keep your eye on him period.

I can bet you that we'll get two different game over scenes depending on who gets you. The older ones would just stuff you while the new ones either dismember you or shove you into a closet with the old ones, and you know what happens next.

This looks even better than the original! I love the new designs for everything. The pizzaria looks way more complex and the overall design of it looks way more interesting than the original. I also love how the new animatronics are disturbingly cutesy while the old ones look like they've been zombified. I'm so glad the Five nights is getting a sequel that actually looks really good, I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be all that great and everyone would lose interest in the games.

Doesn't look like there's gonna be any new animatrons so far. :( Scott does have a habit of hiding things up his sleeve though so too early to tell.

Oh don't worry, we'll find out as soon as the games released. Remember in the first games trailer it never even hinted that foxy existed, but then when we played it we got a horrible screeching surprise.....

Oh man, I'm so pumped to be scared shitless again.

There's a screen shot on the steam page for it of new Chica, but seems to be missing a beak? There's also an endoskeleton head beside her. I wonder if, as the night/week goes on, the animatronics sustain more damage from encountering each other. And the shot of new Foxy all dismantled in the doorway = nightmare fuel.

Oh yeah the new foxy is even scarier , I mean he's completely mangled and I heard he crawls around on the ceiling now instead of sprinting. And apparently the animatronics can now sneak into the office from the air vents, which totally won't make me even more paranoid when I'm frantically checking the hallways.

Having watched the trailer, it looks like Scott listened to a lot of the criticism and complaints surrounding the first game. Hiding in a suit, doing away with that powered door nonsense, etc. The animations look a little smoother, and I'm really digging the new designs. Have to wonder what Phone Guy's doing there, though...

TL;DR I'm totally pumped for the sequel.

So there are a bunch of people who noticed something very interesting in the trailer. At certain points you can see drawing of what look like an extremely thin, black and white colored mime-like character who's supported by strings and a cross like a marionette. People everywhere are going crazy coming up with all these different theories about him. And there's also what look like pictures of Golden Freddy singing to a bunch of sad looking kids, so he might be in the sequel too.

Something that's also been noted in the beginning of the trailer that there seems to be drawings of kids playing with (parts of) Foxy 2.0 (that might be a she this time around)

It's possible that the children accidentally wrecked it, irony considering the bite of 87's prime suspect...

^ Can you just imagine the jumpscare that will accompany that thing? Eugh.

The more I hear about the sequel, the more I think Scott is screwing with the fanbase and turning its many, many unsupported theories upside down for laughs. The new bots appear to be malfunctioning machinery, rather than haunted; Foxy seems to have been changed into a girl; Phone Guy is somehow alive, etc. Not that I mind, though. I tend to enjoy games most when their developers are aware of their audience, and Scott really seems to be having a blast with this. Good for him.

Also, have a gif. (Unsure of origin, but I find it more than a little unsettling.)
