Flag of South Africa 1928-1994.

Modern American flag is best because I'm biased. It's the only one I like and the only one I'd be 100% sure of who it belongs to. I don't pay attention to the flags of lesser nations. Unfortunately, I'm 99% sure I could recall a few flags on sight though; Canada, Mexico, and Japan, maybe China.

Looks like a barcode. It's perfect for the EUSSR and it's part in the great reset. Pledge allegience to the almighty barcode from the generous comfort of your pod as you consume your daily bug rations.

Anyway, content:

Bahrain has a pretty simple but fairly unique design. I really like it.

Liechtenstein also has a nice, simple flag with a dignified golden crown.

Andorra has a nice mix between France, Spain, and presumably the seal of whatever bishop, don't recall bishop of where. Directly reflects the nature of Andorra's sovereignty/rule.

The royals of Sikkim used this flag. It or a slight variant was also the flag for most of it's brief post-UK independance

However, this much simpler flag was used from 1967 until union with India in 1975

And of course the Panama Canal Zone continues the proud US tradition of seal on bedsheet. Press S to spit on Jimmy Carter for effectively giving away the canal to China.

Love how our country is imperialist in the dumbest ways possible while turning into a soft humanitarian whenever some force would actually benefit us.
Anyway, here's the flag of Saint Louis Missouri, an actually decent US regional flag. Perfectly encapsulates the city's history and geography while looking nice.

I like laurels and I like wreaths, and I like that Virginia's state flag has a boob on it. And that makes it my favourite.

It is the state seal set against a field of azure.
US state flags get way more of a bad reputation than they deserve, most of them are perfectly fine. Wanting every flag to follow design conventions or whatever is supremely reddit.

The conventions exist for a reason, and while you should be permitted to deviate from them, the seal on bedsheet monstrosities that are most state flags are an absolute disgrace.

The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Absolutely horrific, and even though it has a lit of heraldic symbolism, only one part of the estucheon actually represents lands within the state.

That's so close to being good. Just have it say Jacksonville on the bottom. Putting city, state, or national boundaries/outlines on a flag is stupid.
Now that you pointed that out, this flag is honestly pissing me off a little bit. It would look probably at least a full letter grade better if it just said Jacksonville.
Also the shape there barely resembles Duval county, beyond the fact that it's just dumb. Also I think it's pretty funny that we have Andrew Jackson on our flag when he didn't even set foot in the city, he was just provincial governor.

I'm going to learn how to design a flag. Even if it's not good it'll be better than this. Chicago might be a shithole but at least they have a decent fucking flag. I didn't even know Jacksonville had a flag.
