Oh I can explain, bring on the puzzle pieces.

It's not just that you need an account to view content on exhentai, but e-hentai itself (so the one which won't show loli or shota) has an e-bucks system with multiple competing currencies which you acquire from all kinds of places.

One currency can basically only be traded for with a different currency or acquired by donating bandwidth and HDD space to a distributed system, the other is acquired by uploading galleries or torrents (hits and seed time respectively give you this currency). The first harder to get currency can purchase perks which make viewing the website easier, such as removing the ads, as well as being tradeable on a marketplace for the second type; the second is used to purchase downloads of galleries in a zip and some other things that aren't super relevant. There may be a third currency but my memory is hazy on that and if it exists it's only for the RPG minigame...which really doesn't matter and it's super autistic, the site is The Perverted Library of Alexandria which was designed by whoever drew up the plans for the Winchester Mystery House is what I'm getting at here.

Back to the point, especially back when this would have been relevant over a decade ago, the site was much harder to actually download from without currency and downloading images one at a time is a great way to get carpal tunnel without even touching yourself; as a result a lot of people make accounts to contribute to the site so they can have these contributions tracked so they can use the rewards to download more porn, faster.

...and if you already have the account, you may as well use all the features, like favorites or internal bookmarks and all that shit.

What could possibly go wrong? 🤭

Edit: Oh, another fun detail, the admin is a brony to this day and may or may not have a pony OC as his forum avatar. I dunno much about him other than that he's enough of a brony to add extremely expensive perks directly spawned from what I'm pretty sure are pony OCs. I'm not familiar enough with MLP to tell if the references and his spirit-pony are OCs for sure, but I have suspicions let me put it that way.

Follower notification going off non-stop, blocking the screen and Ralph's super chats lighting him up and being repetitive and annoying as fuck.

Just when it feels like the universe and God himself all but convince me to dislike Flamenco, Ralph pulls this flagging bullshit and I can’t help but question that dislike.

He’s an open degen at this point, and yet Ralph is so fuckin’ unlikable that it kicks the ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ switch in my brain, except it’s the ‘this guy pisses off this fat mouth-breathing pig, so I’ll support him despite that degeneracy’ switch I suppose.

How long is does Flam have the "following for" to chat time set? If he's got it under 5 or so minutes it's probably a spam bot blocking move.

Same goes for youtube, a lot of sufficiently popular streamers use sub only for (a couple minutes) as a way to prevent the chat being overrun by chinese porn spam bots.

I know Rackets had his chat in FFA mode for a long time until the spam bots moved in and overran his already active chat at which point he changed to "sub only (5 minutes)" which fixed the issue.
