Good morning Fluffy Community.
Today we're awakening to a level of drama and sorrow that none of us expected to deal with yet.
As you might already be aware, Fluffybooru.com is down.
It wasn't hacked or forced offline.
The owner has voluntarily taken the site down.
We have no reason to believe it might ever come back.
This is not an occurrence that any of us wanted, but so far as the year 2020 goes, I suppose it's not a surprise.

There have already been accusations and finger-pointings.
Plenty of people want to blame r/FluffyCommunity, or The Click, or others for this occurrence.
But I don't think any amount of blame-game is going to fix a single thing.

Right now, we are looking into options for the future.
This will almost certainly include a completely new website for fluffy enthusiasts.
There is such a site which is in the setup and testing phase, right now.
So rest assured that this is not the end of fluffies in their entirety.

The new site is likely to be quite different from the Fluffybooru that we knew and loved.
It will not have the extensive archives that Fluffybooru had.
But with time and dedication we can make it into something worthwhile.

We will update you all as often as possible.

Alrighty lads, I hate to be “that guy” that bumps the thread but security allows me to read the entirety of the OG fluffy thread and the entirety of this thread and I have to say, while I do believe not all of this is purely fetish fuel, it does remind me of a certain weird porn subculture that me and my friends used to make fun of on late nights of weed induced retardation.

I am of course talking about what I refer to as “caption porn”, basically what this subculture entails is a lot of people taking seemingly innocuous and innocent photos of something like a girl at a zoo, and photoshopping cum onto her face and writing an incredibly degenerate story in shitty colored font referring to these women in these Facebook, instagram, etc. photos as “slut, whore, skank, and every other name you can think of.

Replace these women in otherwise innocent photos with “fluffy ponies” and generic porn name calling with “shitrat, stupid pony”, you can understand where I’d see the similarities and why I see these degenerates as a large group of sexually depraved creeps playing it off as “It’s edgy catharsis Ex-DEE.”

This is the first time ive heard about people jerking off to fluffy abuse. Sure there were artists that drew fluffies with tits or performing sexual acts with humans because the point was to gross out the viewer and lulz.

I assume you saw the thread on /b/ as well. If not thats just a wild coincidence.
I don't see the appeal at all. I know it was mention in the thread before but it reeks of something like the monkey abuse videos on YouTube. I also get flashes of zoo-sadism as well as shit like gyro porn.

The closest thing I like that could be compared is ultra violent wrestling, (not to powerlevel) But the difference between things like death match, animal fighting, or bull fighting is at its core the appeal is sport. Competition. You go to see 2 opponents compete in extreme manners. The appeal of fluffy just seems to be some twisted way of venting sadistic fantasy.
 
I remember seeing this a few years ago on 8chan, and while the violence is insane consider that Happy Tree Friends aired on TV during the 2000s
