All they had to do was literally nothing, did Lance decide to impress everyone by secretly "improving" the front and rear wing angle or what? AM was amazing just a few hours ago and they were literally dead in the water just now. How do you fuck up a car that just three hours ago worked like a charm?

Vettel did it too last season, seems like it's mostly an issue of getting temperature into the tyres. When the inters are a couple laps old, they degrade to a point where the surface is smooth anyway, but when you can't get your tyres warm enough to stick to the tarmac, shit goes south.

But boy oh boy, Russel would have been a legend if this had worked out and ended in a pole. I say: Shoot for the stars every once in a while. Be bold. It paid off a couple of times for Russel in the past.
