quaawaa Bernie Ecclestone gave an interview to the Daily Mail on Sunday:
Some highlights:
This is why I miss Bernie. Whenever anybody acted up there would be a shot across the bows couched in a vague language: 'Maybe it's time so and so retired' etc. His focus was on the sport rather than on the personalities within the sport, who he would indulge up to a point. He knew when to step up and knock people back into line.

Well why didn’t you then? Presumably because most of your fanbase would have genuinely asked ‘who is Nelson Piquet?’

Also yes, the guy he’s RTing is indeed a black American because that’s his only fanbase.

Absolute madlad. The amount of seethe from Redditoids is amazing.

Everyone is crying about poor little Hamilton (even his statement reeks of professional victimhood), but honestly, I feel sorry for Max and the pointless shit he's going to have to put up with in interviews this week.
I have seen people trying to drag Max into this because of the vague connection with him via his girlfriend. It's pathetic how much energy stans devoted to hating their precious hero's rivals. They all do it but Lewis' are especially venemous.

current formula 1 fans are faggots.
They're not F1 fans. They're obnoxious fanboys/girls for specific drivers. They're like Ronaldo/Messi stans in football - they don't give a shit about anything other than seeing a highlights reel of their hero and the various baubles attached to their name.

liberty probably is looking at the clock to see when hambone finally fucks off and they stop pretending they care about anything besides making money

It's interesting that Bernie compared Hambone with Mansell. Nige was also a competent driver whose performance relied heavily on how good his car was, and he also complained about everything non-stop.

I miss Bernie.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it again and again: DTS was a mistake.

This. These are the glory hunters and plastics everyone who actually likes the sport hates or will learn to hate in their infinite cancerousness. Thanks to their numbers and overall noisiness, they are also the ones who companies like to appeal to because they see their idiot sports-ball hero in a thing and they then buy that shit in volume.

Someone posted this thread in Community Driven Happenings. Hopefully it won't shit the thread up too much, since literally anywhere else is talking non-stop about this due to a relative drought in actual F1-related news. It's all so tiring, like it's become a competition to get as angry about this stupid shit as possible, whether someone actually cares about F1 or not, that is.

Posers already make the community kind of annoying. Posers that only talks about the "racism"? That's going to be even worse

Can confirm that most of us use "neguinho" as "this fella here" or something like that in less serious environments. We definitely don't mean to be offensive with that term. If we do want to offend a black person, we use "crioulo" or "preto", and it is often followed by further expletives.

So it is a total nothingburger, then. Piquet was just using Brazilian Gen-X'er jargon and journofaggots are seeking hairs on eggshells to finally cancel the man.
maybe "crioulo"(but even then not really) but "preto" is an extremely common word and i'm yet to find someone that thinks its discriminatory or racist. Come to think of it the only word even close to the way nigger is used would be "pardo", and even then only in br chans(a very small group all things considered), for that word also has widespread use as a common non-discriminatory descriptive.
gringo é tudo doente não dá não

Well he did what one should never do in these situations, he apologised. Now they're going in for the kill.

And of course Damon "we can't judge Saudis for stoning women, oh yeah give me some more Hamilton cum to chug on" Hill wants him "made an example of".

You know I used to have some respect for Hill, he battled it out with one of the greats of the sport and came out ahead in one instance. Unfortunately he's apparently an insufferable fag.

Honestly, I thought Piquet's response was pretty mature, saying he's sorry if anyone misinterpreted what he was saying but pointing out what he actually meant.

Which of course, brain-damaged wokeoids took to mean "I'm sorry BUT..."

The biggest issue I had with Hill back in the day, was that he seemed very unmanly.

I had softened somewhat my attitude towards him in recent years, but his latest efforts are bringing back my old negative feelings towards him.

Of course it was a great statement. However the "OMG piquet called Hamilton a nigger, you have to be offended" headlines have already dropped so no matter what he says they won't listen.

I do always enjoy the irony of the anglosphere deciding what someone meant when they were talking in their own language in the context of their own culture and that it must be offensive. "No that can't possibly mean something other than what we as nonspeakers of your langue have decided it means".

Yeah, pretty sure this weekend will be a shitshow for Mercedes and Hambone performance wise. Toto probably pulled some strings for the journos to publish the story to distract the people from what will happend this sunday. That, or perhaps the Liberty Media themselves (though in this case it's probably not jusy Mercedes). Same usual shit in my country
Gotta lube up before the main show.

Something something fans shouted gamer word at Lewis something something something undoubtedly it's those cracka Verstappen fans!

What if people just respected the heritage of the sport they compete in?

Nelson Piquet is a legend, who won his world championships before Lewis was even conceived.
Piquet drove races in a time when getting on the grass at the wrong place would mean you would die a horrible death if you are lucky.
If you are unlucky, your car somersaults into a grandstand, explodes and you as well as a dozen or so people from the audience die a horrible death.

Hamilton isn't worthy to kiss Piquet's feet.

It's always most apparent when they argue rules. They have literally no knowledge of this sport, its rules, how the tech works, what regulations apply under what circumstances.
Their understanding is "Someone inconvenienced Bloowis, that person must be punished."

I bet most of them were completely taken aback the first time Lewis was shown the blue flag and had to move out of the way for another car, I bet none of his fanboys understood what was going on there and they wondered, why Lewis wasn't allowed to fight over the "position". And I bet quite a few were ready to make it about Lewis being black.

Like that one time Twitter got mad during Olympics when someone posted an image of an athlete with "Niger" written on the back... until someone took those brainless dipshits to school and told them that "Niger" is a nation in Africa.

The same kind of people, oftentimes black, that idolize black culture, don't know a single fucking thing about Africa. And it's fucking hilarious.
