perez was never this shit at rb and tsunoda was never that good outside of rb either. he will never be much use to red bull figuring out the issues with the car if he starts from the back of the grid each race and spends half the time yielding as he gets lapped.

It’s true that Tsunoda has not demonstrated Grand Prix-winner potential, but there is no use in swapping him out at this point. Don’t forget that at VCARB he was close to getting podiums a few times before the switch. Tsunoda isn’t among the best on the grid, but I can’t believe someone who was regularly in the top 10 suddenly struggles to even make Q2. The car is bonked.

It's a car problem, it's so hard to drive you need a generational talent like Max to get something out of it. Reminds me of Honda in MotoGP when Marquez was there, he was the only one able to ride the bike until it became too shit even for him. The only other driver who could get somewhat close to Max in the RB is LeClerc IMO, both share a liking for pointy oversteery cars.

Anyone with other prospects would be stupid throwing in with Haas mk2. They may get good once they start building their own shit but they're using the Haas model of buy half the shit from ferrari. Plus having a team principal who's F1 team building experience is launching Virgin F1.

Yup, like back in the day when reddit exploded because massa withdrew from a race after qualifying but Williams didn't run their reserve Susie "I'm only here because my husband gives them engines" Wolff. Of course they didn't care if anyone tried to explain the rules, they just wanted to be mad about muh wamen, while ignoring how God awful she was. If anything her never getting in a competitive session helped the reputation of women racers by not having her lapped 47 times or driving straight on at turn 1.

At least there is a bit of intrigue to be had with a few going for different strategies.

So we're getting organically what they will be trying, and no doubt failing, to force for Silverstone and Spa with the tyre fuckery.

Probably because they don’t want people to realize that both Leclerc and Russell collided with him first and got no punishment.

Also, Russell is a fool for assuming that he’d be let by in the middle of a corner. That never happens; every driver lets people pass by lifting slightly on the straight.
