Id be certainly surprised if Hamilton doesn't consider retiring after this year at the current rate unless he's stubborn as a certain Spaniard
My prediction was that Max, Fernando and Lewis would all retire this year. And honestly, I hope they do.
As much as I like Max talking shit (because it seems like being head of the GPDA means jack shit,
Carlos - boy he's looked sour all weekend), it's tiresome to wonder if he's just not putting in effort. I have a feeling that if he really wanted to, he could master the 2026 regulation vehicles because he's the best on the grid. Racing is what Max does and suddenly there's one vehicle that has completely stymied him? I'm not really buying it.
For Fernando and Lewis, this is not the racing they won championships in, and frankly, I felt sad at where Aston Martin was on the grid today. I think Lewis is kind of a prissy bitch that maybe should quit to bask in being a celebrity and produce more movies and shit if that's really what he wants to do, while Fernando should just let it go and be a manager, especially if regulations aren't going to change significantly for next year.
He's currently on track to be the youngest WDC though this season is young and we shouldn't put the cart before the horse.
I mean, Oscar was on track to be WDC last year until the back half of the year.
I wouldn't be shocked if everyone else was just getting their shit together with the new regs and someone else pops up and gives him a good run.
There is, of course, the theory that the regs favor much younger drivers in that they're more adaptable to the new regs, so fortune may lie with Kimi yet.
