soem modes have a lot less people but there's also several thousands of people playing at any given time due to how popular the game is.
i've played enough online to know what a 25k world wide multiplayer game should be like, and it should take a lot longer between matches. in general its crazy how few people actually use fortnite for fortnite anymore, zero build is more popular and roloblox knock off games even more popular than that. i will say once its down to the top 25 its usually the competent people left and it takes a lot longer to kill.

Look I manage to get people joining my party in save the world even at really late ass hours nobody in their right mind should be awake in any timezone and they're 100% not bots because they got vc enabled half the time even if they're sometimes retarded. That's like supposedly the least popular mode despite being the main intended game before battle royale took over. I'm pretty sure it's possible to do shit without bots but there's some game balancing shit they keep implementing that spawns bots in instead of actual players that's been in effect for years IIRC to make sure everyone gets at least one win or some bullshit.

Ironically the only times I've won a match are the matches I run into less bots.

yeah thats fucking crazy too, it feels like every 25 matches they just give someone a win, crazy to think they implement SBMM on such a scale. i noticed something when my K/D and win percentage were such difference percentiles. there are clearly a lot of people who manage to win a solo BR with only one kill. don't know how that fucking works.

Once again I don't think the "giving someone a win" stuff is accurate because every time I hit a bot heavy match I die to the like 2 to 5 sweats that get dropped in with me

The ones that get more player heavy if I manage to kill enough bots for the auto-balance shit to not spawn in bots I actually come close to winning usually and lose due to weird shitlike my headshots counting as bodyshots, reload animations starting even if I've already reloaded while being triple teamed, or a player just tanking my gold shotgun to the head with visible headshot damage indicators and then one shotting me with a green one of the same model despite me being max shield and me breaking their shield like twice

I do that all the time when I'm farming quests. I'll start in the far corners of the map, minding my own business. If I come across another person, I'll test their aim. If they seem like they're better than me, I'll run. Once the storm circles get too tight to complete any more quests, I'll play it cautious. Hang out towards the edge of the storm and try to avoid any confrontation that could result in a third person shooting me in the back. Hide, lurk, and wait for the other players to reveal themselves. Then take advantage of any opportunity I find.

I'll get first (or second) having only killed one or two people along the way.

I've completed the Simpsons battle pass and have my Homer Simpson skin. Yay!

Then, I joined a "mic up" server and yeah, it's weird as hell. Kids, teenagers and random adults talking shit with bad mics.

I rarely run across squeakers in BR anymore, but they're all over Delulu trying to run the game.

Alright since its Thanksgiving, have a Christmas themed bear. (Im too lazy to do Bundles.)
She got you a present! Wow!

So, first official end-of-chapter Live Event on my end down, and it was honestly pretty cool. Couple of thoughts:

Firstly, glad that Jonesy didn't die like everyone was constantly assuming; looks like he's here to stay for at least another year, hopefully. Also found the end sequence to be a nice payoff; every getting to relax and party in Hollywood Battlewood, sorry, with an apparent confirmation that Slurp is alcoholic, funnily enough. Also curious on the "Seven"; I admit, my knowledge of the lore pre-Chapter 5 is a bit spotty, so this is new territory for me. Also curious on how they're replacing the Battle Bus; were supposed to be "surfing" into the island, now.

As for the event itself... mostly just a glorified cutscene, but it was a fun one. For those that missed it:

It kicked off in a lab in Springfield; Hope and Jonsey were tinkering with the Zero Point Rift Device to take them back to Oninoshima, whislist also contacting/recruiting everyone from across different realities to take on the Dark Presence; meanwhile, the Looper was in charge of trying to wake up a still-giant Homer, who was passed out outside the lab, by teleporting giant donuts onto his face. When the timer finally hit zero, we get a scene of Jonesy sending out one last APB to all realities to help fight the demon; after that, he finally activates the device... which malfunctions and starts sending everyone to random realities. These are, in order:

- Jonsey's old office in the Imagined Order (I think? Everything was in black-and-white)

- Fall Guys (complete with everyone being Beans)

- A basketball stage... concert...thing, where everyone is the same black guy in a jersey (I genuinely don't know)

- Back to Springfield, where everyone is bouncing on top of Homer's gut like a trampoline

- A Hatsune Miku concert (who Hope is apparently a fan of)

- A children's room, with everyone shrunken down and looking like action figures with big heads (complete with high-pitched voices)

- Star Wars, with everyone just drifting in space

- Chapter 1 Island, with everyone as random props (the Prop Hunt LTM, right?)

- Under the ocean

- A comic-book reality that looks like Oninoshima (more specifically, the Supernova live event in Chapter 6)

- A molten island in the middle of an ocean of lava (Hell, maybe?)

- Finally, a wrecked Oninoshma

From there, the Dark Prescence shows up out of a massive cloud of darkness; fortunately, everyone else (as in, ALL of the characters introduced this past season, including Squid Game, Mortal Kombat, the Scooby-Doo crew, Invincible, Godzilla and Kong, Superman, the original characters, and even a few characters from last season like the TMNT crew... EVERYONE. Minus Fletcher Kane and other villain characters, though) all show up to assist. With that, everyone starts rushing the demon like a WWZ horde; bit bizarre watching Star Wars fighters go weapons free while a giant, mostly-naked Homer is hurling donuts, but it works... somehow.

However, during the initial rush, Kong gets knocked back, blocking the route for everyone; with that, a number of OXR chopper touch down and start ferrying people in, with us getting OXR rifles to use and the K-Pop Demon Hunters flying our chopper, complete with background music and another chopper loaded down with various YouTubers all treating it like a party, complete with Ninja dancing like a tool and SypherPK firing a rocket launcher at the demon. After a brief on-rail shooter segment, where we get to watch the demon wreck just about everyone's shit, our chopper gets knocked out of the sky; when we get up, we got nothing but dual SMGs, and Hope yelling over the radio for anyone to get to the front lines ASAP.

However, when we tried to get back, all alone, a tentacle monster popped up. After a brief fight, the Bride shows up and manages to drive off the tentacle with her motorbike and katana; we hop on, getting another rail shooter segment with her and Superman guiding us back to the front. After another brief segment, she drives off a cliff action-hero style while we procure a jetpack out of nowhere and start flying around and peppering the kaiju demon with SMG fire. However, even with everyone lighting up the demon and various other kaiju trying to attack all at once, the Dark Presense is essentially unstoppable; so, Jonesy decides to summon the Cube to use it's energy to kill the demon.

Unfortunately, even that's not enough initially; the demon overloads the Cube, and it looks like the Cube is about to detonate like a nuke and wipe everyone; however, the Mecha Team Leader (complete with a reskin that looks like The Seven's color scheme) shows up and kicks the detonating Cube in the demon like a soccer ball, killing it at causing the Zero Point shard to be freed. This restores the island back to it's original Oninoshima state, while everyone else gets rifted out.

Cue a cutscene from Jonesy talking about the Imagine Orer and how they controlled the Zero Point for 1,000 years, as well as briefly touching on The Seven; he notes that the groups' fate is unknown... right before it cuts to the cutscene of Jones, Meowscles, Peely, and some alien getting piss drunk in Battlewood.

Oh wowee, the map looks pretty cool... now if only I could play the DAMN GAME, EPIC- FUCK CMON I JUST WANNA PLAY THE GAAAAME

Just played and won a match myself; so far, it's looking decent, though given that it's still new... I'm going to be holding my final judgement for a bit. The new surfing intro is neat, guns are decent enough, but it looks like it's returning to a strong "mobility" meta like in Shock and Awesome, not to mention there being a new melee weapon.

I dunno... I want to be positive, but it'll take me a bit to form my final judgement.

The new weapons are pretty fun. The wingsuit is so fun to use. I got a win with my friend earlier. Drivable reboot vans and the item giving you the ability to revive yourself are huge shifts to the meta that haven't been exploited and nerfed yet.

A random thought I had, but I feel like the game is slightly more "COD-ified", with how the HUD is set up, the new hitmarker sounds and stuff. The guns are even more like COD guns, with all the FPS guns. They're really good though, really solid guns. I wish the KSG12 looking gun had a bit more damage cause it took me 3-4 shots to put down a full health and shield person in ZB, but overall I like the style/art direction for this season. (Holy shit, Marty McFly!) and the guns are very solid, they kinda remind me of that one early chapter when they introduced medallions with Peter Griffen. I wish you could customize the guns though mid-game like you could that one chapter.

What the fuck is this emote ui, why is epic obsessed with changing shit that doesn't need changing and ignoring what does?
They've learned from Discord. Font? Change that shit. Logo? Swap it. A color so fucking iconic you basically correlate purple with Discord, your brand? Change it a few shades!

Consistently placed 2nd or 3rd in every match during the first two days but now tryhards have figured out (and I didn't) the current meta and I can barely make it to top 15. Don't really like the new season/chapter (maybe just because it's right after Springfield) but I guess I'll have to buy (with V-bucks of course, not with real money) the battlepass and grind to get the Game of Death suit and Morty from those old time machine movies.

The only thing I really don't like so far is the surfing mechanic. Though considering one of the quests is to find the pieces of the Battle Bus, I imagine its temporary.

The big problem is the Bus gave you a lot of choice on where to drop, but with the Surfing you basically have to land at whatever POI the game spawns you nearest. You can maybe go a little left or right but this is just giving everyone else an early touchdown.
