It seems increasingly that our culture venerates violent criminals, especially in video-games. The most popular entertainment property of all time (GTAV) is the story of 3 bank robbers who kill and steal all over southern california.

I think Snoop Dog's fame is a monument to this, the man was a violent criminal who dealt drugs, and that in part helped him accrue his fame.

I think this changes how our we see violence. Not in a "violent videogames cause violence" way. I think it colors people's perception of criminals. By bombarding people with depictions of criminals as sympathetic figures, I think they project that onto real criminals. Which is I think in part how violent criminals like George Floyd get deified as some kind of martyr.

The closest thing to this in the game is called Party Hips. It was originally a silly dance Conan O'Brien did, who is obviously male, but had unintended side effects when female character models do it.
