I love when a sweat on crack drops out of the sky, gives me two backshots from the wrecker pistol, and bounces off to the next target, only for the end of the match to be like 3-4 of these speds zipping around while occasionally chipping at each other. What a fun season. I love when games give movement items that people use to essentially just fly around the fucking map. It's so cool and not the most annoying shit on planet earth.

This season can't end quick enough.

Exactly what I've been saying. It really is a shame too, because this whole "bug invasion" is actually a ton of fun this season, and I kinda want to try and complete the battle pass this go-around. Apparently, Epic is aware of the many complaints the more casual players have been having about the new gear, and they are trying to nerf/balance it, though it's liable to take a while. At least the Revolver is common enough to ensure more people can grab one, and that the current lobbies are so aggressive that it means the game takes a few less minutes.

This season can't end quick enough.

Not until November, sadly. At which point (according to the leaks), we'll be getting a full Simpsons mini-season.

At least OG is pretty fun this go-around. Also waiting for the next Festival artist to show up in a few weeks, and Rocket Racing is a decent time-waster as well. LEGO... I'm not so sure. Same with Blitz, Reload, and I never even tried Ballistic.

I'm in the opposite boat. OG has some kind of low gravity event right now, which means everyone's bouncing around non-stop. Add to that the fact that none of the guns feel good to use outside the standard assault rifle. And I still can't figure out what the zapatron does.

I like the addition of golf cars, but with low gravity, they're kind of pointless.

Just won an OG Zero Build match; didn't have the gravity effect. I did have low gravity on yesterday; can agree, wasn't all that fun.

Zapatron's a bit weird; you have to aim and hold the fire button down for the gun to charge up, then release to fire a bolt at the enemy. Does a lot of damage, but you only get three shots in the chamber, ammo is scarce, and the lack of spread means that, unless your aim is right on... well, you'll be back in the lobby quickly.

Good news is, they're both gone now.

Actually, got some interesting news; apparently, the devs have removed the medallions from BR mode. Can't find the video I saw earlier sadly, but the sweats and kiddies were SCREAMING about this, claiming that it "removes a core part of the game as a whole" and that being able to casually go across the entire map like a coked-up jackrabbit is normal.

In other news, looking forward to The Gorillaz tomorrow; they're the new Festival artist.

Can confirm; regular BR feels SO MUCH MORE FUN than it was previously. Actually allows me to complete quests now.

EDIT: Man, the reactions to Epic removing the medallions is rather telling; people are fucking losing their minds over this, insisting that it "completely destroys the season" or whatever. This video is about four days old, but I still see the sweats and kiddies whining about losing their precious crutches today. Really shows the general thought process behind the community at this point; can't handle a game actually being fun or fair for everyone else, they always got to have some bullcrap advantage for themselves - seen similar excuses for hackers in older video games.

Double-post, but... the devs have dropped Saitama's Medallion in Blitz Royale; basically, it allows you to one-shot both structures and players by hitting them with your pickaxe, as well as granting increased movement speed. I brought this up because, for this weekend only, this medallion is the only one you can pick up, meaning that everyone will start off with one-hit melee kills.

And... this is by far the most amount of fun I've even had in this game. Genuinely started crying laughing because I was running around liked a coked-up retard swinging my pickaxe screaming "cripple fight" at the top of my lungs. Seriously, give this a try at least once.

I think Epic saw how many people were dipping and decided to address the problems. I do wonder about how many players are active because it feels like no one talks about Fortnite at all unless you actively look for it.

Took advantage of the DOUBLE XP weekend to grind the battlepass. Hit level 100 with two months to go. Got a ton of BR and OG wins, including a hilarious win where I mined the reboot van with timed explosive.

Yeah, this season is pretty middling overall; I don't hate it, it plays better than some of the previous seasons we've had, but...

At least the medallions are gone; I can get having a solid reward for beating a boss, but the three this season were just overpowered. Created a very unfun gameplay loop; only time I ever one against someone who had all three was pure luck.

I think we are getting some updates soon enough, but I don't blame you for dipping, honestly.

Also Im getting back into Animal Crossing and Dawn of War got its definitive edition, so my time is spent on other games than a game that just frustrates me.

I feel you; there's definitely a LOT of sweats in the game nowadays, not to mention a larger increase of cheaters. Epic's focus on collabs and crap like that "Steal the Brainrot" map that made the rounds a while back have only made things worse; in fact, BR's actually losing a LOT of players at this point, player count's dropped rather low for the first time in a while.

Me, personally, I'm usually sticking to either fan-created maps, or alternate modes like Festival, Racing, etc.

While not free I can suggest using Novel AI's image generator. It uses tags from the usual porn sites and I believe other image forums to narrow down its generations. The price is not insane, I use the highest tier for infinite generations and a generous amount of credits for regens and upscales. And yes, if youre a gooner, you can make gooner slop. Just dont use any model thats "curated". Curated models are so ass on NAI. I use V4.5 Full for my gens and they tend to turn out pretty good. I use it for all my funny fortnite bear reaction images

So, the Daft Punk event is live; honestly, very visually impressive! As someone who admittedly isn't very familiar with the duo's general history - I know a few of their songs, but mostly just from memes and such - I admit that the event was a LOT trippier than I imagined; the intro alone has you going some kind of Stargate-like thing, then you crash into a desert, pick up a helmet and put it on, then you go into the pyramid...

Honestly, it's a REALLY cool event. Mostly just a playground, but it's a fun one. Has a few quests to complete, including a horde shooter mode where you fight robots with the power of dubstep, a "Jam Stage" where you can remix a few Daft Punk songs together to create your own mix, a small mode in LEGO which has you fixing up a space station, and the actual main stage is this MASSIVE open area where you can go up on stage and watch the duo perform several songs. I will say, it's weird watching several Power Rangers, the Gorillaz, Bevis and Butthead, and whatever other randomness you get all emoting to the music.

Still, really cool event, glad I got to attend. I actually think this was my first event that I got to attend in Fortnite, unless we count that Game Awards stage...
