That came with my Game Pass. I'm playing the Simpsons season. I like how the cel-shaded graphics look with the Springfield world.

Sadly, the graphics are temporary; it'll be going back to our regular style after this season, which ends in about 10 days.

Shotguns are my best friend here because I cannot do shit with assault rifles or SMGs so far. I guess "mythic" or "rare" weapons do more damage.

You'll learn how the different guns work, sooner or later; I'd suggest going into one of the custom islands that provides guns and just training, getting a feel for them.

Rarity goes from Grey, to Green, to Blue, to Purple, to Orange, to Gold, and then finally Cyan; think Borderlands, essentially. Typically, the better the rarity, the better the stats, including better damage multipliers and some occasional special effects with the Cyan weaponry. That said, it's often better to focus on gun type and how they handle; I've won gunfights with a Green AR while my opponent had a Gold shotgun because I kept my distance, and it's sometimes better to swap to a lower-color weapon because it has better features like better ammo capacity or a clearer sight.

Just for the Simpsons themed content alone, it's more fun than Call of Duty now. Makes more SENSE than Call of Duty now, think on that.

Not really a surprise, honestly; I've said it before, CoD just chases trends without really bothering to actually think on how it all makes sense, whereas Fortnite actually tries to integrate everything into its lore. Case in point; the Scooby-Doo gang showed up to help the protagonists track down the demonic entity that's screwing with the Fortnite island. Meanwhile, CoD just shoves characters in with no rhythm or reason; how the fuck do Beavis and Butthead fit with 90s-era espionage?

Hell, Fortnite's going a step further, and actually integrating them all into the upcoming event:

Forgive me for saying this, but... I'm genuinely just a bit lost at this point.
This is pretty standard fare for Simpsons video games. Look at the plot synopsis of the game people have joked about this season being a sequel to, hit and run.

I'm also glad I was able to get everything this season considering the last 3 or so I've been fucked out of half the battlepass rewards that got slapped into the "bonus" section INCLUDING THE FUCKING VBUCKS STOP DOING THAT FORTNITE THAT'S NOT A BONUS PUTTING DEFAULT PICKLE GLIDER IN THE BONUS SECTION IS NOR A BONUS YOU FUCKS

Also got fucked out of the gorillaz rewards because they changed the date midway through to be much earlier to replace it with generic brown fortnite character and whatever the fuck is going on with that current music pass. Got all those though! Pisses me off I didn't get the gorillas shit aside from the russel page!

Also I got fucked out of the last phase of the story quests almost but finished them literal last minute because of how RNG the donut storms were and how there was never anyone in them ever. Ironically i got it last minute via a glitch where it still counted somehow when a guy shot at me in there after the storm ended while every other time that's happened it didn't count, and so I then bee-lined the rest of the quest.

It's funny how you can almost immeditately tell a bot or sweat/cheater from their behavior or skin this season. Everyone actually aiming to play the game for the most part has cel shaded skins on. getting real tired of going into matches and it's filled with people using the fucking diamond diva and ruby skins or ramirez.

I still find it really weird how there's no apu skin given there's no problem with him to the point the monorail song and the kwik e mart are on the map. ESPECIALLY weird is how they didn't make jonesy and hope simpsons style like they are in the shorts when they're inside the spaceship and later in springfield. They're NPCs on the literal map and they just look like their normal skins.

Many rambling thoughts, I know. Been a rough night tonight. Not gonna go into it.

So no more Simpsons after 10 days? Great. I would like to win a couple games before it sunsets to the next event. I've gotten close, from top 10 to top 3 to runner up but nope.

Well, Beavis and Butthead were FROM the 90s, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

This makes me want another actual Simpsons game again.

Rarity goes from Grey, to Green, to Blue, to Orange, to Yellow, and then finally Cyan. Typically, the better the rarity, the better the stats, including better damage multipliers and some occasional special effects with the Cyan weaponry. That said, it's often better to focus on gun type and how they handle; I've won gunfights with a Green AR while my opponent had a Yellow shotgun because I kept my distance, and it's sometimes better to swap to a lower-color weapon because it has better features like ammo capacity.
Understood. So far, shotguns and SMGs are my forte since I don't have to aim too precisely.

They really need to bring back the BP stuff, I agree; current Pass content can return 18 months later, but some things apparently still can't, and that still doesn't guarantee that the stuff that is here will even pop back up in the shop. It's retarded.

From what I heard, it's actually because the developers ran out of both time and space for skins; according to one interview, they actually had a number of other skins planned, including Grandpa Simpson, but they got cut because of time constraints and space.

Wasn't the B&BB movie about them being tricked into smuggling a top secret microfilm or am I thinking of something else?

Lately my feeling has been "I miss the Godzilla season." I've gotten to kinda dislike iterative games, because when I come back to them, I never know if the problem is me changing, or the game. I said a similar thing about Minecraft. By contrast if I go back to Doom 1993 and decide I'm not into it anymore, I know the problem is myself.

That said, the Simpsons season was better than I expected, and this is speaking as someone who generally finds the Simpsons boring and rather overrated.

Give me a Detective Conan season you cowards.

It's really frustrating to lose from one man standing than if you lost halfway through the match.
I just had a thing where I was loading someone hopping around with bullets, then headshotted them with a mythic gold gun from evil homer, only for it to count as a body shot and then them one shotting me with a green version of the same gun. Pain.

Couldnt find any homer clones for a whole and then I started running them over when I was driving. Also either in matches full of bots or ESP cheaters because I kept getting in a situation where someone would ALWAYS run up behind me and start shooting the moment i stood still for five seconds, and then I'd run into a string of people near-headshotting me while i was boosting by in a car from like halfway across the fucking map on both sides.

EDIT: Should also specify the behind me thing is when there's a wall between me and the other person. they run up behind me there and eithe rbreak the wall or loop around and isnta-start blasting.

What the hell, I'll grind the Simpsons battle pass for Homer Simpson.
it took me a while to get homer, but then again i don't got people to play with that are on when I'm on so the XP share's not one of my boons. I found out the ranked mode rewards this season actually have ONE simpsons related thing which is jebidiah's head as a pickaxe and I'm debating trying to grind out for it or not. One thing I DO reccomend grinding for is getting at least one win in so you can get the season's glider, which is actually a homer-specific glider I think is a little cooler than his toilet chair invention one because it's his office area.

I'm not gonna get the kang and kodos glider sadly because that shit was locked to disney+ signup shit and I am not signing up for disney+ just for a fucking simpsons glider even if it's cool and is the highest quality glider I'm ever gonna see animation wise.
This is somehow the only video i could find of this without some long ass commentary about it.

Not sure how well-known this is so apologies if I'm telling you something you know, but there's an easy way to get lots of EXP quick.

Basically go into Lego Fortnite, then (assuming you have a control) somehow get the joystick set in a place where you're consistently moving in circles. Be sure to occasionally reach over and press the jump button so the game won't detect that you're away from the controller. I did this for a full day back in the Mortal Kombat season and managed to unlock all the battle pass stuff stupid quick.

It also became the main reason I never bought a pass ever again, because I never wanted to go thru it.

Also I play on Switch, which made it easy to have the portable in a corner and just occasionally press a button while I watch movies on my PC or whatever.

.... WTF even is Lego Fortnite, anyway? Like, it feels like you're just wandering around a city. I didn't even see any meaningful interaction with other players.

Yeah the creative and lego shit stopped giving me significant enough XP, weirdly same with save the world too now. Maybe it's just me, maybe thy have some weird shit set up, I dunno. I just know grinding XP has been hell the last few seasons but the simpsons shit made it more fun this one. I got a survey on how much simpsons shit I think is in the game and I gave it a 1 because of all the cancelled stuff I found out about and the disney+ locked shit. Give me more simpsons. this is the best the simpsons has been in well over a fucking decade and it's a fucking fortnite season.

EDIT: why is the post gone what he fuck

Some updates on Chapter 7 already; aside from the Kill Bill collab, we're also getting Back to the Future and more Stranger Things stuff; Marty McFly and the DeLorean for the former, a group of kids and Vecna for the latter (forgive me, I've never watched Stranger Things). Also, that lion character from the Survey Skin list is getting added as well, and there's rumors of a similar bear skin getting put in the shop later down the line.

The map seems to be based pretty heavily on the Hollywood area this time around; we've even got a "Battlewood" sign on top of a mountain to fight around, and the map is looking pretty urban so far. I'm excited for the upcoming season, personally; anyone else going to try to attend the live event? It'll be my first "big one" if I can...

Thet's brick life, not the main lego fortnite mode. Used to be a lot more barebones like that but they've added minigames and questlines and shit since I last played when I checked in last time.

Regular lego fortnite is like that same kind of "build shit and fight enemies" while exploring game as stuff like rust and palworld.

My friend and I grinded it out in reload ranked which took a few hours.

You obtain the glider by linking your MyDisney account to your Epic Games account, just like the first order stormtrooper. You don't need to have Disney Plus.

Isn't mydisney just disney+ though with extra steps

Reload's been unfun nightmare hell for me because I have to play with randos against coordinated weats so i just stopped playing it sadly.

The donut storm RNG drove me mad, and I did miss out on the last set of story quests. Fortunately, there's no XP tied to them, just some minor voice lines from the characters.

This Simpsons season is the most fun I've had in the game since the mad max season. I haven't completely tooned out, but I did switch my main for the season...

No, it's its own separate thing. I guess it's supposed to be a unified account thing for Disney Plus, Hulu, and other Disney owned services but you don't necessarily need to be paying for any of those services.

You can get about two to three challenges done guaranteed per ranked match, even though it's a challenge. You don't need to win.
