If he cannot learn to push himself and create healthy work and creative routines, he is doomed to the cycle until suddenly hes forty and he realises its a lot harder to do with each passing year. Due to pills being a common use for suicides nowdays they have created several counters to the effects that they will give the patient intravenously, especially OTC ones like Ibuprofen and Panadol/panadine. Not to mention if its within an hour, the patient will get charcoal for dinner.

The survival rate has increased with these things but someone would end up with damage done to their body which can be extremely painful eg intestinal lining damage, liver issues, sepsis, etc. Young people tend to have an easier time with liver issues and have the ability to regenerate/heal liver damage if its not past a certain point.

The body will fight you to the bitter end on your decision to depart this mortal coil. It has evolved over millions of years to tolerate the brutality thrown at it and carry on regardless.

the context behind what i said is that he tried to excuse himself lying by saying that it was embarrassing to admit he had sex with someone 15-16 (because obviously it would be, as a fucking adult). i said a lot of personal stuff about what happened to me at a young age and how it did fuck with me as i grew up because i never got my ass beat as a child, but i never used it as an excuse to be victimizing myself.
i'm censoring the top half because it goes into really personal territory, but this should give enough context as to why i said i fucked up

you can see that telling my own story about the things i went through since age 11 and how i bounced back/came back a better person due to me being honest about my problems and fixing them clearly didn't pierce his fucking skull so it's great to know that he definitely "cared" about me and the dev team. clearly, because he went instantly back to victimizing himself.
