God, Desiree is going to be an RA?

Just imagine being a young, confused kid going into college for the first time and having your counselor and confidant be this specimen.
Other than the already hopeless kids, they'll just ignore and avoid her extra hard. Then, presumably, she'll get pissy and try to abuse her power, so that's what my concern would be.

The real meat of this person is her obsession with money - specifically, money she doesn't have to work for. Her crowdfunding site [archive] (which has $1,200 of donations at the time of this writing)

What are the chances such a scheme would be successful for me? You can just make a crowdfunding site and people will give you free money for no real reason? I have to admit that sounds kind of awesome.

This person seems like a fairly new addition to ADF's friends, and the name appropriation immediately caught my eye and they may be worth looking into. Note: this profile isn't public but the only restriction is you'll need to be logged in to see it.

Arkadia Moon is yet another in the endless series of unstable transsexual lesbian asspatters that hover about Phil looking for validation. He is best known for a long series of Quora answers, bizarre comments to Phil's posts, and rambling screeds that sound as if they came from an unmedicated schizophrenic. Despite being by all appearances a white male of middle class upbringing he has adopted the female dress of muslim culture.

Much of Arkadia's previous life before The Internet is unknown - he's done a fine job of obfuscating this information. Is he from Russia? From Canada? From South Dakota? Is he white or not, muslim or not, transsexual or not? There are some things we can be certain of:
Before closing, let's examine his few public facebook posts

WHERE IS ANONYMOUS? [archive]
When a rapist, or a child molester, or some piece of crap like that, gets called on it, xie will almost always spout a bunch of standard excuses: "I was sexually abused when I was a child", "ten-year-olds are really capable of consent", "she was asking for it", &c ad endless nauseam. Nobody buys this bullshit …except for other rapists/child molesters. Because they're responsible for their choices.

And then, someone in South Korea declines to pick up on hir dog's poop on a transit train, or some guy in Russia is *said* (by his wife, during a custody battle; he didn't actually do it) to have sexually molested his children, or someone in darkest Yorkshire is caught on video doing something unsavoury to a cat. (These are all real incidents.) Anonymous and the rest of the Internet Lynch Mob materialise in force and dox the hell out of the person, posting name and address. I hate the Internet Lynch Mob; I think it's as cowardly and low-down as any other lynch mob. But at least people get angry and want to do something.

When a profit-making corporation throws hundreds or thousands of people out on their arses, it will almost always spout a bunch of standard excuses: "We must remain competitive in the global marketplace", "Our xpenses must be controlled going forward", "We must redistribute and positively structure our synergy", &c ad yada yada yada. And the mass of people nod their heads sagely, or shrug their shoulders. Because the executive leadership of that corporation *aren't* responsible for their choices?

And where is Anonymous then? *Those people* can't be doxxed? *They* don't have names and addresses? Is it kind of like the way people are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs, and safer to gang up on a middle-aged Yorkshire woman than deep-pocketed executives with lawyers and tech-savvy people on their staff? Is it that we actually feel they have less accountability than other people, or that there's less reason to hold them accountable?
What Arkadia is trying to say is, "Why does Anonymous target little guys and not the big fish?" but this thought is lost amidst a sea of gender-neutral pronouns and straw man excuses. This is a person who feels the internet boogieman - whatever group he has decided encompasses anonymous - is too afraid to go after child molesters and corporations. However, he feels he should refer to these awful people as "xie" or "hir" because you wouldn't want to offend the people who need to be doxxed and harassed.

EMPATHY IS UNDERSTANDING [archive]
Empathy for human beings at their best is no merit. Empathy really means something only when we have empathy for human beings at less than their best — sometimes *much* less. When they're stressed, hurt, guilty, ill, frightened, angry. When they've done something we don't approve of.

And empathy means realising that all of us standing outside any story are by that very fact viewing the story from a position of privilege, one in which we have the luxury of being dispassionate and saying what people *should* do, or should have done, on the basis of some abstract theory of how ideally ethical humans should behave. We can afford that luxury because we don't have to contend with the raw emotions that the people inside the story have to contend with. But those raw emotions are an inseparable part of the story, and should never be dismissed.

Empathy doesn't (necessarily) mean accepting, allowing, enabling, or validating. It doesn't mean making excuses. It means understanding.
This says the "right" things while implying all the wrong ones. This follows Phil's, and Chris's, belief structure of "if I explain why I did something you should feel sorry for me and stop judging me". It doesn't work that way. Empathy, in the description described by Arkadia, can be boiled down to "listen and believe". Everyone is guilty of jumping to conclusions, and everyone has been victim to stories that paint people in unfair light. But the unfortunate truth is that no one is deserving of empathy, or sympathy, or even people being nice to them. There is no universal law saying people have to be nice to you. No court will punish you for not believing someone's story or for not sucking up to them even if they beat their disabled mother up.

I AM LESS OPPRESSED THAN NATIVES [archive]
An open letter to all Native people who know me.

I am white. I am comfortable with Native people, and spend a lot of time among them, but I am white, I remain white, and I have no particular desire to "become Native", whatever that could possibly mean. No matter how much respect I may show to and earn from Native people, it is a fact that most of my white forerunners walked an evil path — especially the names of cursed memory like Custer, Sheridan, and Chivington — and their evil still echoes from the cliffs.

What's done is done, and cannot be recalled. I bear no personal guilt — I didn't choose to be white — but I respect that I cannot untie the knot that my forerunners tied. All I can do is walk in the right way. I trust my Native friends to help me in that, for I cannot be perfect in this, and there is a limit to how far I can better myself without aid.

If you should ever see me start to ride with the Wannabee tribe, I want you to correct that by any means necessary. I can't imagine that that would require a good thrashing, but if it does, I hope you will deliver.

I will not presume. For example, if a Native elder I respect gives me a medicine bag to wear, I will wear it properly, it with honour and respect for its true meaning. But never will I make one or wear one on my own initiative. Never.

It is true that by long contact with Native culture, I will adopt certain aspects of Native worldview, and possibly practise. This is natural and inevitable — whatever you remain in the presence of will change you — but it is a process and not a goal.

As a trans woman — and though I'm honoured when Native people refer to me as two-spirit, I will not describe myself as that except to Native people who have already described me that way — I place a high value on authenticity, on letting what is within me show rather than painting myself to look like something else, on not pretending. Any part of Native culture that I adopt I will adopt as part of the natural process of change, and I will consider it in view of authenticity and its meaning.

This is my pledge.
Arkadia toes so close to the line of truth that his backtracking is all the more frustrating. He says "I bear no personal guilt - I didn't choose to be white" but immediately follows it with "there is a limit to how far I can better myself without [the aid of natives]". He understands somewhere, deep inside himself, that all this talk of oppression and evil whites and some people being better than others is absurd. He knows it, he recognizes it, but he's terrified of being called out for holding a reasonable view.

They just love threatening terfs. Dont they realize that violent rhetoric against bio females who are also lesbians will not make those lesbians jump on their dicks?

What a nice mixture of white guilt, smugness, and batshit lunacy.

I wonder if the person that called him a two-spirit was actually native, or if it was it a "Cherokee princess" like Thomas.

What I want to know is why so many of these trans activists pick such shit-awful 'female' names. Every other lunatic ADF surrounds himself with seems to have gone straight to a pretentious fifteen-year-old Goth's creative writing notebook and picked a name at random. I thought Ahuviya Harel Arujo was bad until I saw Violet Moonstar, and that only managed to be the worst name anyone has ever given themselves until Arkadia Getheren Moon showed up. At least Jordman and Kylie [shareable] Brooks are aware that it's possible to be a woman without having the most flowery, femmey name imaginable. I wonder how they think all us poor assigned-female-at-birth women cope with names like Jessica and Sarah. I mean, how do we know we're girls? It's like Chris's insistence that any woman with an I in her name should dot it with a heart, only somehow even sillier.

It's probably no bad thing so many of them are determined not to work. Imagine being the HR manager confronted with a no more than semi-skilled misshapen wretch (with or without godawful tattoos) who waltzes in dressed like a bag lady then introduces themselves as Arkadia Getheren Moon. So, Miss Getheren Moon, exactly why do you want to work at Family Dollar?

Just once, I'd like to see one of these people pick a really unglamorous name. Like Pam or Marge or something.

But those raw emotions are an inseparable part of the story, and should never be dismissed.

What the fuck does this even mean? Before Darwin wrote On the Origin of Species, he wrote The Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex. In it, he basically said that humans had learned to come to the aid of their fellow man, and had developed the ability to emphasize with a marginalized or troubled human (or animal) as a survival tool, and that it helped build strong communities and familial bonds. The whole POINT of empathy is that it evokes emotions and passion. It said jack shit about watching something sad on the news and trying to remain neutral without knowing the "raw emotions" of the participants. Part of being a civilized and enlightened human is the ability to overcome your "raw emotions" with logic, reasoning, and.... empathy! If you read a story about a man raping a woman, something is VERY WRONG with you if your reaction is "yeah, but I need to know what he was thinking when he did it". Empathy should lead you to think "that poor woman, I hope that man ends up in jail for a long time"

I think what Arkadia meant to say was "feel empathy for me at all times especially when I act like a prick cause thats mostly how I act".
But you and Darwin phrase it bettrer.

"Gwendolyn" is bad enough, especially for someone pretending to be Native American.

"I think the question should be: why are you subjecting me to microaggression by insinuating that you may not hire me?"
