I majored in Fine Art until my studio professor told me I should be airbrushing VW vans for Grateful Dead fans, during a critique in front of all my peers. A week later I changed my major and threw my entire portfolio in a dumpster.

Moral of my story; it’s better to have a sensitive teacher than an insensitive teacher.

This reminds me of the time when teen!me once made a cut and paste art piece of a bunch of vampires killing people in cages around a big vat of blood.
My art teacher liked it, gave me a good grade and didn't turn it in to the guidance counselor.
 
Oh! You're the kid we had that meeting about earlier. It doesn't look good, you've been added to three seperate national watch lists (I can't specify which due to confidentiality laws)

I'd brush up and keep your head down from now on. A formal apology wouldn't hurt either; the board eats those right up and it helps paint you in a more favourable light should you appeal.

The professor was a semi-famous artist that was worshipped in the program. I was the token normalfag surround by what was mostly pretentious artfags. It was a backhanded compliment in all respects, but in that room with those people, it was the equivalent of being artistically halal’d by artcows. LOL. It was more that it showed me I would never fit in and effectively soured my love of the arts.

Ya, but you could be making bank on some sweet-ass vans, or like, heavy metal album covers, since they're functionally the same.
 
On one forum I heard a story about a furry whose family got investigated because he was caught writing furry rape fiction in class. He said he hadn't written the part where the victim gets rescued yet.
