Dionn Runk is a 26 year old furfag infamous for ripping 3D models from video games, passing them off as his own, profiting off them, and illegally attempting to distribute the pitchloid Akita Neru (derivative of the Vocaloid Rin Kagamine) and the Vocaloid MIRIAM by ripping their samples from the Vocaloid engine and porting them to the shareware program UTAU.

Terms to note:

I gather Vocaloid/UTAU/VocalSynth terms aren't common on KF, so this is a basic summary of things I'm gonna bring up in this post.

Vocaloid: Vocal synthesizer featuring mainly Japanese voices and anime mascots, the program new goes for $200, voices are various, new is ~$150 but older, outdated ones go on sale for much less. (https://www.vocaloid.com/en/ ; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid)
UTAU: Essentially the same as Vocaloid, though it's free shareware, and anyone can make a voice for the program (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utau)
Pitchloid: Essentially, messing with the actual pitch of an established vocaloid, most common way to make a derivative character.
Gender Factor (GEN): A value that can be manipulated in Vocaloid and UTAU to make the voice pitch higher or lower, doesn't change the key of what's being sung but rather makes a voice more masculine or feminine in sound.
Jinriki (人力 ): A derivative character or sampling of sounds without permission from the original creator. Doing this carries more legal trouble than anything else. Common consensus is Jinriki UTAU/Vocaloid characters can't be profited off of nor can they be distributed to others, they're only for personal use.
Voicebank/bank/voice: Just another word for individual UTAU/Vocaloid voices. Can also mean the character mascot, but usually meant for just the voice samples.
CV: consonant-vowel, the most basic form of UTAU, ex: "ba" "bi" "bu" etc. Only one note is recorded at a time.
CVVC: consonant-vowel-vowel-consonant, a bit more complex. String: "babibubebob" Aliases in the program: "ba" a b" etc.
FURloid: A furry UTAU, I've only heard one FURloid that's passable.

Dionn's Controversies (read: Actually Illegal Shit)

Part 1: 3D Models

Dionn's history of illegal activity begins on FurAffinity and DeviantArt. On these two sites, DeviantArt especially, Dionn would take 3D models from existing games, sometimes stealing models that others had created from scratch, and tried to make a profit off of them and claimed he'd made them himself. In typical furry/snowflake/etc. fashion, when others called Dionn out for doing this, he denied everything and tried to accuse others of doing the shit he was doing.

Dionn has even received DMCA takedown notices in the past, and doesn't seem to understand the ramification of something that serious. He also denies he's stolen anything and somehow, there are still a few retards he surrounds himself with that defend him.

Part 2: Illegal Neru Akita UTAU

Dionn's next attack branched out from furdumb into another community, arguably as cancerous: the VocalSynth community. Dionn has several controversies here, mostly surrounding illegal usage of Vocaloid banks.

The first Vocaloid to be ripped was Akita Neru, which is a derivative character of Rin Kagamine. Neru is meant to sound lower in tone and more mature than Rin, and most that use Neru would just lower the gender factor in the Vocaloid program. Dionn, being the sperg he is, decided it would be beneficial to take the samples from Vocaloid illegally and port them to an UTAU of the same name. Dionn claims to have done this for a friend, already giving away his intention to illegally distribute the voicebank. Although making an UTAU without the original voice provider's permission is a practice done for personal use (jinriki), where everyone in the community draws the line is distributing to others, even if no profit is being made. People tried to warn Dionn he couldn't do this, understandably so, but this did nothing, as he ignored all warnings, and went on to do something even worse, detailed in the next part.

Part 3: Illegal MIRIAM UTAU

The most egregious thing Dionn has done besides being a disgusting furry is making an illegal rip of MIRIAM, an English Vocaloid developed for the Vocaloid V1 software. As she's V1, and we're on V5 as of now, she isn't distributed or available to buy as of ~2015, but the company that made her, Zero-G, still retains all rights to the voicebank. Dionn either doesn't fully know the extent of this, or he doesn't care, and showed his progress with making her a basic CV (consonant-vowel) Japanese bank (because Dionn's two braincells couldn't even make a shitty CV English bank). Twitter went up in flames when this got out, as again, illegally distributing UTAU/Vocaloid voicebanks is a sin worse than rape to the majority of VocalSynth users.

Dionn, for whatever reason, likes to wave around this dogshit email correspondence between himself and Miriam Stockley's PA, the voice provider for MIRIAM. Stockley's PA, Lyn, said that it's not even up to her to decide what is done with the MIRIAM voice, it's up to the company Zero-G and Yamaha Japan, the actual creators of the Vocaloid software. Zero-G has made it crystal clear that Dionn cannot make an UTAU from MIRIAM's voice, but Dionn is so far in his own delusions that he refuses to accept it as truth.

I get that it's a Vocaloid, and that's about it. In any case, selling stolen IP is shitty in general and has the potential to get you into trouble.

  • A pitchloid is typically a VOCALOID or UTAU song pitched up, and then made into an 'original character'. Think of nightcore but gayer.
  • Furloid is a subsect of the UTAU fandom that are typically degenerate furries, but not all of them.
  • UTAU can simply be defined as a shareware program created to do voice synthesis like VOCALOID, but it allows for user input. The characters that spawn from this program are usually called UTAU or UTAUloids.
  • A voicebank is a collection of sounds used to make speech.
  • Gender factor is a modifier that allows a voice to be fallsettoed, either higher or lower.
  • Consonant Vowel (CV) is a type of recording method, as well as CVVC. I don't feel like they should be explained in great detail because that's not really important.

There's some suggestion for the terminology.
