I’m gonna be watching Napoli closely after the beating they gave Liverpool. I mentioned it a few pages back but the Georgian winger Kvaratskhelia is a phenomenon. I know Gomez and especially Trent aren’t the best defenders but he absolutely bullied them. What a player.

I really hope he stays in Serie A and doesn’t get bought by oil or American Jew money in the PL.

RB Leipzig got Marco Rose as new coach. Last season Rose was coach of Borussia Dortmund. Today RB Leipzig played against Dortmund and won 3:0. Dortmund played like as they weren't even on the field. Very embarrassing.

FC Bayern played 2:2 against VFB Stuttgart. That's their 3rd draw in a row now in Bundesliga. I am very exicted to see them playing against Barcelona now.

Bayern was lucky to escape that first half without conceding. If Lewandowski was more clinical, it easily could’ve been 2 or 3-0. But credit to them for taking their chances well in the 2nd half.

Safe travels to Ronaldo as United head to Transnistria for Europe league. I saw that he’s getting hate from bodies of gender for being friends with Jordan Peterson, lol. Based Ronaldo.

Looking forward to CL fixtures today. I desperately want benfica to roll over juve, hoping it will finally lead to the allegri sack. I had a good laugh watching him celebrate the third goal against salernitana like it was a champions league final, only for it to get called back. What an absolute clown.

And still no sack for Allegri unfortunately.

Shit's gotta sting cause I find it hard to believe Juve would keep anyone with that record around anymore.

It’s becoming clear that juve “can’t afford” to sack allegri because of his contract. He makes about 9 million per season and is under contract through 2025. His wages are higher than any player in the squad, including Vlahovic and Jogba. He brings no style of play, no mentality and is absolute shit at player selection. Arrivabene is a disgrace, joking with supporters about how they should pay the wages of the next manager. The club is now the laughing stock of Europe

I think it's safe to put Chelsea in the Europa league. Lost to Zagreb and drew against Salzburg at Stamford Bridge. Next two games for them are must wins against Milan, and I don't see them winning against Milan at San Siro.

USA looked really poor in their last two friendlies before Qatar. 2-0 loss to Japan and 0-0 with Saudi Arabia. I blame Berhalter's selections and tactics. Nobody in Group B is looking that good right now tbh.

England should consider Wiegman after Southgate – and take her to the World Cup

In three months, England may be searching for a new manager.

Gareth Southgate has been in charge for six years and has coached more games than any England manager since Bobby Robson, which is a good innings for someone who initially wasn’t sure he wanted the job.

Southgate has a contract until Euro 2024 but that doesn’t really matter. “Contracts are irrelevant in football,” he acknowledged this week. “If results aren’t good enough, then you accept that’s time to part ways.”

Recent results haven’t been good enough, and if they continue not being good enough, England are not in a good position to appoint a replacement.

The bookmakers’ favourites are Graham Potter and Eddie Howe, which made more sense a year ago. Although it’s conceivable either might be available in 2024, they probably won’t be free this winter.

Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard haven’t quite proven themselves yet. Sean Dyche’s tactical approach surely isn’t the right fit. Steve Cooper, though successful with England’s youth sides, has barely managed at the top level. Other names in the mix apparently include Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers and Thomas Tuchel, none of whom is a particularly likely appointment.

And then there’s the bold choice. If England’s target is to win Euro 2024, the good news is that the English Football Association already employs a two-time European Championship winner, with a record of P12 W12 in the competition. Between those two successes, there was a World Cup final too.

On paper, this manager is perfectly qualified.

In-between train strikes and international break, Palace hasn’t played a game in almost a month. Not looking good lads. We’re teetering too close to the bottom of the ladder for my liking, albeit with a game in hand. That’s gonna put the pressure on for results over the next few weeks with Chelsea next up. We haven’t been good against Chelsea with Viera in charge but maybe since Potter’s taken over we’ve got a chance.

She's literally more qualified than Southgate was when he got the job, to be fair.

Speaking of which, Southgate has asked Ten Hag to give Maguire more game time before the World Cup. Presumably he'd rather that starts after the Manchester derby.

I am so happy that Southgate did so well in these past 2 tournaments. Everyone sees he is completely outmatched for this job but his performances dictate that he keeps getting a chance to prove himself. Ignore the fact that the toughest team he has played in the knock out rounds were Italy, Croatia, and Belgium over the past 2 tournaments and he lost them all

I mean, I don't fault him for this. Its in Southgate's best interest for Maguire to be fit. The Argentinian FA asked all clubs not to play their players on the last match day before the world cup. Clubs can choose to tell them to fuck off but its a request I would make as a manager

If flopping around on the ground and slapping the ball away from your opponents feet while he’s away on goal isn’t worthy of a red card, then I obviously don’t understand the rules well enough.
The only explanation that I could see was that it wasn't an obvious goal scoring opportunity. But Idk if it wasn't an obvious goal scoring opportunity, thats so far up for debate. And VAR can't over rule the ref's decision (supposedly) so they aren't going to tell him to overturn it.

Personally, I thought it was a red. He acted in all manner of being the last man and there wasn't anyone really close enough to make up the ground and stop Ayew from getting a 1v1 with the keeper

To think that fucking gunners is likely the only hope that can stop City from turning the EPL into another farmer league now

Also Haaland probably will have the golden boot secured way before the second phase of the season if he can keep up with this monstrous scoring streak to december

Has there ever been more of a literal cheatcode than Håland?

Qatar?

Anyway, good to see you back, football bros. How was your Nation League break? Germany sucked hard. 1st match was an embarrassing 0:1 lost to Hungary and 2nd match was a lackluster 3:3 against England. I see one hilarious World Cup incoming.

btw this is how Bundesliga looks like atm:

It's so weird to not see FC Bayern on 1st place. I honestly can't remember when this happened the last time. But it's even weirder to see clubs like Union Berlin and SC Freiburg ranked before Bayern. That's like idk Crystal Palace ranked before City and Liverpool and Chelsea and what not.

If Hoffenheim should win today they will be 3rd and Bayern only 4th.
