I just would like to state that the Chinese Football Association Super League is not only the best league but it is also superior to every other league and this is a fact. Let's go Guangzhou F.C.!

Its no different to Talksport, the business model is using retards for clicks
Talksport is still around? I used to listen to it about 20 years ago on the radio, good to hear that the callers are still retarded all these years later. I'll never forget the solid year or two they had Charlton fans calling in saying they'd rather be challenging for trophies in the championship than sitting in mid table in the prem and bitching about Curbishley. Funny how that all worked out.

-Lets hear what the fans thinks
-Fan says something retarded
-The owners should be listening to the fans more often about how the club is run

Hello kiwi bros. In this dark time, let us not forget the fun of Champions League. Wasn't able to watch live but I got the highlights in so some thoughts and results

Results from today

Dinamo Zagreb 1 - 0 Chelsea
Pretty empty stadium from the Croatians and Aubameyang started for Chelsea so it looks like there isn't any advantage from Zagreb. There are still fans but an entire section is empty which you wouldn't think would happen in a Champions League group stage match against Chelsea. Zagreb's goal came on such a weird counter attack. Can't believe Chelsea gave up something so easily. Nothing Kepa could do either, Fofana just got beat. Idk what the stats were exactly but Chelsea were very dull up until the end. Left Back from Dinamo will probably start getting looks at some of the bigger European clubs

Sevilla 0 - 4 Man City
City's away kits are really fucking ugly. Scoreline was pretty generous for Sevilla tbh. They didn't put up much of a fight and City either missed some really good chances or Sevilla's keeper came up big. Also having Haaland in those positions to score makes City just so much more dangerous. They can go up at any point which means you can't sit back and absorb pressure from them anymore

Celtic 0 - 3 Real Madrid
Didn't realize Joe Hart was playing for Celtic now. Guess that's where he ended up. Celtic were very unlucky in this match. Created a lot of good chances and were all over Madrid but just a few minutes of pure quality from Madrid let them grab 2 goals. Then were able to just pick apart Celtic later for a third and put it to bed

RB Salzburg 1 - 1 AC Milan
Game was pretty open at the start but Salzburg capitalized on a slip to go up by 1 early. Milan came back pretty quickly though. Pretty fair result as there were some good chances on both sides. I think being in Austria means this was a better result for Milan though

Dortmund 3 - 0 Copenhagen
Copenhagen had a few chances but Dortmund were very clinical with a few chances that they had. But Dortmund were all over Copenhagen and this result is pretty fair. Copenhagen got hit with the VAR disallowing a consolation goal on some BS with the offside rule. Luckily it didn't matter but a knee being offside seems pretty funny

PSG 2 - 1 Juventus
PSG's first goal looks something like street ball. Jesus Neymar and Mbappe just decided to dick around with Juve and the volley Mbappe hit was unreal. Juve missed a really good chance and PSG punished them with an absolutely gorgeous goal for the second. Mbappe is becoming a really good finisher right now. I think the result is a little closer than the game actually was but PSG's defense looks really suspect. Donnarumma bailed them out on a few crosses and missed one that led to the goal. PSG's front 3 and Verrati pair up so well that most teams wouldn't be able to hold out on them when they are on their day. But that defense is really suspect, especially if you can just get some decent crosses into the box

RB Leipzig 1 - 4 Shakhtar Donetsk
Leipzig's keeper just gifter the first goal to Donetsk. What a terrible mistake. Leipzig were all over Donetsk before that and after. Second half goal was pretty nice and coming for Leipzig to tie things up. And right after that, Leipzig just fell apart and allowed Donetsk to come right back and take the lead. Giving away 2 stupid goals mean that Leipzig had to go forward and Donetsk were able to capitalize twice on it. Probably an unfair result all things considered but Leipzig's mistakes did them in

Benfica 2 - 0 Maccabi Haifi
Benfica were in pretty solid control the entire first half but couldn't break through. Second half was more of the same but found a break through with a decent cross. Their second goal however was a strike and a half oml. Rest of the game was benfica in control and kind of dicking around once they got into the final third. Pretty fair result

Some exciting games tomorrow include
Inter vs Bayern
Napoli vs Liverpool
Atletico vs Porto
Tottenham vs Marseille

Allegedly its more down to clashes with Boehly over running of the club (like getting rid of Cech and Tuchel's only response to the idea of signing Ronaldo being a hard no) than any results

Also there is the mysterious 2-year-curse. Tuchel always get's kicked after being around 2 years.

In other news: RB Leipzig have kicked their trainer too today.

Tuchel gone, just one more whiny kraut to be binned off in the prem
Tuchel's firing was apparently not down to results. The ownership group was looking into all aspects of the club moving forward and Tuchel was the last one they decided on to make a move. It appears as though Graham Potter will be the replacement going forward.

Personally, I don't think Potter will be out of a job in a year or two if results don't go amazing after this change. It looks as though the ownership group was looking for someone to create a long term project. Tuchel was kept around to have some input on the transfers but most of the transfers outside of Aubameyang where done to get players that most managers would be able to work with. I think the Aubameyang deal was kind of a Tuchel move but they also needed a striker they could bring in while looking for a replacement in a year or two. Aubameyang came cheap and could probably provide a year or so before becoming a serious problem

I think sacking Tuchel was a terrible decision tbh.

I don't like the guy but to bin him off just because they've had a poor start to the season is ridiculous, even City kept Pep after that embarrassing 3-2 defeat to Norwich.

Day 2 of Champions League recap

Ajax 4 - 0 Rangers
A combination of Ajax fully reloaded with some good young talent and Rangers just not being that good. Clearly there is a gap between Celtic and Rangers in Scotland and this result could have been worse if Ajax kept their foot on the gas. Should be interesting to see if Ajax can keep up this form though

Club Brugge 1 - 0 Leverkusen
The only goal came from a pretty bad gk error off a corner. Otherwise Leverkusen were the better side. Although, Brugge didn't just steal one, they were pretty well in this game. Its just a case of the better team didn't win on the day. Also, Idk what VAR saw in the goal that was taken back. Seemed like a handball

Napoli 4 - 1 Liverpool
Credit to Napoli, they certainly played Liverpool off the pitch in the first half. Liverpool still managed to create chances but holy crap they need to replace a few players right away. Joe Gomez is not a good central defender. He needs to be a rotational defender in cup games and lower premier league games. Milner is being asked to play way too much along with Elliot and to an extent, Fabinho. Its hard for the Liverpool back line to defend the front 3 and Napoli's entire midfield when they get no help. Liverpool are playing a high line with a high pressure forward line and their midfield can't do anything. Its just a giant outlet for Napoli to release and run at Liverpool with tons of space. TAA gets exposed in these situations when he is asked to defend way more instead of being a winger who starts as a right back. Its a statement win but I can't really judge how good Napoli can be just because Liverpool made it so easy for them

Inter 0 - 2 Bayern
So Inter certainly had their moments and scared Bayern but the quality Bayern has are sneakily good. Half of Bayern's defensive issues are their own mistakes but I don't think Inter fully tested the defense. On the attack, Bayern's midfielders really ruin some of their attack. Kimmich mostly but a few other's have this weird belief that a shot from 25 out is much better than just funneling the ball around until their 3 quick players up top and Muller decide to combine and just knife their way through the defense. A few attacks just ended with a shot that had no hopes of going in with maybe 6 defenders back for Inter. When Bayern were combining though, it looked like they could have scored at any point. I can certainly see now why Bayern have tied their last 2 league games. Just hunker down and frustrate those midfielders a bit and they will just shoot from way too far out.

Tottenham 2 - 0 Marseille
Conte might have found his best formation and line up with this line up. A 3-4-2-1 with Kane up front, Richarlison and Son right behind, and Perisic and Emerson/Kulusevski as "wing backs" while having 2 defensive midfielders and 3 in the back just lock things down. They certainly pressured Marseille into that clear red card and Richarlison got into 2 spaces to get goals and Tottenham were more dangerous with this line up. Although it will leave openings at times, I think this is Tottenham's best chance and just dare teams to try and play 90 minutes of open football to see who has the better team in open play. I think they could catch Man City out with this but the only real threats to them would be Bayern, PSG, Madrid, and again maybe Man City but that would be the weakest of the 4 to play against this. Can't judge Marseille, they had some chances but early second half red card ruined everything

Atletico Madrid 2 - 1 Porto
I swear Atletico are just going to play ugly until the last half hour when Griezmann is allowed to play. Very boring first 60 with only a few good chances. So if you want to watch this game, just skip to the 60 minute mark. Porto were the better team for most of the game but they just give away stupid fouls and then one of the guys on a yellow decided to flop in the box to get himself a second yellow. Atletico gets a scrappy first goal in stoppage time that probably doesn't come about if Porto have 11 men on the field. Atletico give such a shitty pk away and Oblak nearly gets a save as he looks like he is back on form. And of course, Griezmann pulls a rabbit out of his ass to win it at the last touch of the game. Porto did it to themselves and Atletico take full advantage of teams doing that

Barcelona 5 - 1 Plzen
Does anything really need to be said here? Lewandowski is good at scoring? Plzen are gonna get crushed in basically every match? Plzen's goal came from Barca sleeping and a lucky bounce. No idea how good this Barca team really are so we have to wait until the next match to figure it out

Frankfurt 0 - 3 Sporting Lisbon
Was a really back and forth match up until a little past the hour mark. Former Tottenham man Marcus Edwards got a really lucky deflected goal that he deserved from running through them all night then assisted on the second goal on a good counter attack and Frankfurt were out of it. Chasing the game too much that left themselves up for a third. Sporting look deceptively good. Ronaldo should have taken the idea of coming back to Sporting a little more serious. This team looks deceptively good.

Tomorrow is Europa League and Europa Conference League. Don't really care about all of them but I will try and review the Arsenal game, the United game, Lazio game, Roma game, and then from conference league the Villareal game, the Nice vs Koln match, and the West Ham game.

Tuchel getting the Roberto DiMatteo treatment from Chelsea brass is lol worthy.

The Irish Guy on YouTube is going to get a brain aneurysm if Graham Potter is Chelsea's next boss; Irish Guy has such a hate boner for Potter it isn't even funny.

Alright, the only games that were worthwhile, unless you are from the country/support the teams, from the Europa League and Europa Conference League

Europa League
Ludogorets 2 - 1 Roma
Roma dominated for 70 minutes but couldn't put anything away. And Ludogorets get about 3 chances and finally put the first goal away. Very poor defending from Smalling as well. Of course as soon as Roma do manage to score, they give up another weak goal right after.

Manchester United 0 - 1 Real Sociedad
Was a pretty even game until an unlucky penalty awarded against United. It was a penalty but very unlucky. After the goal, the game opened up with more chances for both sides but nobody could really put it away. Big win for Sociedad

Zurich 1 - 2 Arsenal
A full new Arsenal line up to test the squad players for the season after a pretty poor performance over the weekend. Glad to see Turner in goal from a US perspective. Had one poor give away early on but played alright for the rest of the match. Goal he gave up was a penalty so not really worried. Score line made the game seem much closer than it actually was since Arsenal just dominated most of the match.

Lazio 4 - 2 Feyenoord
Game was over after 30 minutes. 3 goals instantly from Lazio just put Feyenoord to bed. A goal 15 minutes into the second half basically sealed the game. Feyenoord managed to pull 2 back but it wasn't much of anything. One was a penalty and the other came with about 3 minutes left. Think Lazio just gave up at that point. Lazio should have won by more but def deserved the win

Conference League
Villareal 4 - 3 Lech Poznan
Villareal set up all 4 goals in the first half and took a 3-1 lead into half time. Poznan did set themselves up for one but hit the crossbar but Villareal looked really good against them. Villareal started the second half like the first, giving away a goal. This time with a penalty. Poznan then tied it up with a really good goal who's number 9 looks like a decent finisher. But that stupid saying about scoring too early popped its retarded head around as Villareal had about 25 minutes+ to just put on pressure to eventually come away with the win. Unlucky from Poznan who were gifted 2 goals and created a third. First time Villareal has given up 3 goals this season too.

Nice 1 - 1 Koln
This was a match I was interested in because I feel these games truly test the strength of the French and German leagues. Mid table team who has to deal with European matches as well can show how strong each league really is with the depth of their players. First half was mostly Koln who did score there and were unlucky not to get a second. Put on a lot of pressure. Completely swapped roles in the second half and Nice managed to pull one back, although through a penalty. Considering how each half went, a draw was a fair result. French League might be stronger than people give it credit for

West Ham 3 - 1 FCSB
Was pretty open 30 minutes and was surprised to see FCSB take the lead. Can't believe West Ham gave them so many opportunities early on. Would love to have been a fly on the wall for that half time team talk from Moyes. Was pretty even throughout the first 15 for the second half until FCSB's keeper gave up a stupid penalty. Completely misjudged a basic cross and destroyed the west ham forward. After that it was all West Ham and Antonio couldn't be stopped

Kinda excited for next week's rounds. Should start seeing the groups forming up and how everything will end up looking before the international break
