He didn't cheat though. He got caught and was given a red card. And Ghana got a penalty out of it that should have won them the game. Its the equivalent of a professional foul. If the guy from Ghana scores the penalty, none of this is an issue.

Of course he cheated. Cheating is not defined by being caught or not, it is defined by breaking the rules of a game to succeed.

The issue here is:
- the handplay blocked a goal (100% success)
- scoring from a penalty is not guaranteed, it's 50:50

So the punishment should have been to award straight away the goal. Then the handplay wouldn't have had any positive effect for Uruguay and no consequences for Ghana. Bc of the punishment for the cheating had a chance of messing up the cheater succeeded in the end. That's objectively unfair.

But that's how the rules work and that's life. Life isn't fair.

And as I said before, the whole story is even weirder/funnier/more retarded bc of the fact that the player who missed the handpenalty scored in the penalty shoot-out afterwards and he scored as first player overall in the shoot-out. Would he have scored the handpenalty there wouldn't have been the shoot-out. But that's live and that's football and the beautiful and/or retarded stories it writes.

Personally I don't care if Suarez apologizes. Subjectively I don't care. Objectively he should. That would be good sportsmanship. Like apologizing after a harsh (unnecessary) foul.
Personally I giggle about him not bowing down. Zero-fucks-given-Suarez and how a lot of people freak out bc of him is funny.

IMO it's retarded to unironically hold a serious grudge against a player/team bc of something someone did. Bc in the end of the day I'm just a fan. I'm not standing on the pitch and get a shiny trophy. It's completely retarded to let a fucking sportsball event seriously affect your life. Like if Germany would win the WC how would it literally affect my life? Would someone knock at my door and give me cheque? Would I stop being bald and grew new beautiful long hair? Seeing your team win is cool. Seeing your team lose? Yeah, shit happens, accept it.

Holy shit, this Serbia-Switzerland match is the tits.

Meanwhile, Brazil put on a secondary team, played fuck-all and is about to lose to fucking Cameroon. Ah well, no skin off our asses, we are still first and we'll go full-force against Worst Korea.

Can you imagine being Serbian? Jesus Christ lmao, first you get your nose rubbed in it by not-Albanians in 2018, then again here.

Not that I am a fan of that stupid hand-eagle shit, if you are so proud of your country, then go fucking play for them instead of fucking Switzerland. But fucking hell Serbia, just embarassing.

Prediction time, lads.

Netherlands x USA - I'm not entirely convinced the Clockwork Orange is all that, but I think they will beat murrica without much difficulty.

Argentina x Australia - Something tells me this match is a total toss-up. The argies do have quality but come with certain pressure and are perfectly beatable as Saudi Arabia proved, and the aussies are no slouches. If the Socceroos believe in meme magic, they start Andrew Redmayne or at least put him in a possible penalty shootout.

France x Poland - The Poles are duds, Lewandovski all but disappears when playing for his NT (Seriously, Zielinsky and Krychowiak carry the team) and the frogs play damn great when they get serious. They have it in the bag already.

England x Senegal - Again, it won't be easy but I still believe the brits will pass. Senegal is standard African fare: Play relentlessly, then get gassed and let themselves go. Depending on the strategy, this could be a slaughter or a nail-biter, but an English victory nonetheless.

Japan x Croatia
- The other toss-up, anything-can-happen match. I still give Japan a very slight edge because they showed excellent potential, though Croatia despite their aged team can still do a good job once push comes to shove.

Brazil x South Korea - Our NT is poised to win this fine enough, but they better not underestimate Worst Korea. Not only are they actually competent, our team showed severe flaws today against Cameroon (it was a B squad, but still, those are supposed to be our options for subs, and they simply didn't deliver) and will have serious problems in the wings and midfield. At most I see them winning by 2 goals or so.

Morocco x Spain - If they truly go no-holds-barred, the Furia Roja passes. But the maghrebs will play the game of their life here, which could be dangerous and surprising even.

Portugal x Switzerland
- I was thinking Portugal could win this easy, but reviewing the game against Serbia, I have my doubts. Keep an eye out for an eventual upset from the helvetians.

Apparently no team finished the group stage with a clean sweep of 3 wins in a row.

Also the guy who scored for Cameroon, took off his shirt, got a broshake with the refereee, and then sent off lol.

Predictions for the round of 16. No need to try and explain cause nobody can predict shit this world cup (which is awesome)

Netherlands vs Usa

Argentina vs Australia

Japan vs Croatia

Brazil vs South Korea

France vs Poland

England vs Senegal

Morocco vs Spain

Portugal vs Switzerland

I honestly feel a bit bad for the german team. They seem in a "between the hammer and the anvil" situation, a "kid wishing that the earth will swallow him up while his mother yell at the McDonald's cashier" situation. You can't in good conscience say that they are, on paper, any less of the qualified teams, though they had a shit defense, and I think they would have had given a much different performance if not for all the political pressure and the weird unwarranted activism. They had good chances and prospects and they took their team out volunteerly.

Germany are a team that have a lot of good pieces that don't fit together. And instead of trying to properly manage all these players ego while trying to put out the best line up in order to win, they are forced to bring out all these political messages for the alphabet people. They were doomed from the start

I'm pretty sure I just saw a ref outrunning Daley Blind lol
Why are we starting Zimmerman and Ferreira instead of Carter-Vickers and Reina?
Ferreira has been a citizen for only 3 years, the US starting 11 needs to be representative of the general population.

Edit: wow, Blind making me eat my words just minutes after taking the piss
