Touching balls with your hand when you really shouldn't has been a proud Argentinian tradition since 1986.

After watching croatia's goal again and again, when you start to realize what was happening with all players and their position. It is a giant stroke of bad luck, fate, bad decisions on part of the players.

Tite was screaming for rodrygo to return even before their attack happened. Thiago silva made a foul and the ball got into a player that the brazilian player was turning his body and the referee gave advantage.

We couldnt concede that goal, after that we knew that was their advantage: penalty shootings.

It is amazing how we can shoot on goals more than entire teams and still never score or their goalies suddenly become goats. It is almost like other teams have a single opportunity to shoot and score.

We got punished hard by the game, that is what bothers me the most, not even the shootings.

19 cards, a new record for a world cup game

Still not beating the all time record of 36 red cards in a match (basically a mass brawl).

As long as Croatia have Luka Modric, they have a chance to beat any team. The real goat.

He didn't even offer some comfort and solace for the players as they bawled and sulked on the pitch. Motherfucker went straight to the showers.

One thing is to win a Libertadores and a Club World Cup with tight tactics. A World Cup is a whole new can of worms, one that he never understood. Good fucking riddance, Tite.
What a piece of shit. It's a shame cause a decent manager could've done something with this squad.

I hope Neymar decides to come back for 2026, I felt bad for him today. He gets a lot of shit but he's such a joy to watch when he's in form. He should give himself another chance to win for his country, you can tell it means a lot to him. It's not like he relies on strength and pace, he'll still be good in 4 years if he can keep himself fit.

I think tite was fucking pissed off, because the players didnt do what he told them, we still dont know what was decided (neymar said something about it was what was decided back then) for the penalties, but I think he was so fucking angry that being there would be meaningless.

Regardless, they arent children anymore, they should know the taste of defeat to try to never feel the same again. I hate vinicius jr and I think he wasnt ready for this cup (the ammount of lost balls and bad positioning in this game that other players rescued is amazing). I just hope the new players get better and we get more defensive/midfield players and stop relying in attack only (9 fucking players, holy shit).

I dont care about joga bonito, I just want to win next. I watched 2002 and it was amazing, I want to feel like that again.

Would be nice if you got a midfield rather than a load of "midfielders" with delusions of strikerdom. It just leaves the back exposed and means you can't play through teams that park the bus.

The manager reveals he doesn't have the mentality to win a major tournament when he's dancing with the players after the third goal in a round of 16 game. You're just putting bad energy out there when you do something like that imo. A manager shouldn't dance until he's lifting the trophy, simple as.

If CBF had any semblance of shame and pride, they'd start looking all over the world for possible substitutes for Tite. There simply is no national coach to head the NT for the 2026 World Cup cycle.

Back in 2014, soon after the 7x1 fiasco, it was reported that Pep fucking Guardiola offered himself to lead the team for the 2018 campaign, and that he would totally be fine with being paid far less than what he earned with Barcelona at time, so long as he could build the team from scratch the way he felt was necessary, but CBF didn't even bother to contact him, since they preferred the old tradition of only seeking Brazilian coaches.

I mean, good Lord, back then there was simply no biggest coach all across the world than Guardiola, and you refused his offer on the grounds that he wasn't Brazilian? Seriously? Instead you went with a guy whose biggest achievement was the same as several other cookie-cutter head coaches all over Latin America?

Remember Fred from the oh so iconic "7-1"?

That's what Allison is going to feel like right now. I think he should get a bodyguard service on his flight home...

Well that's 20 years of never getting past a European opposition in a knock out stage.
That's not really an interesting statistic tbh, I can't think of a non-European country other than Argentina that would be strong enough to knock Brazil out when it comes to the knockout stages, so unless Brazil get to the final then they're obviously going to get knocked out by European opposition.

The more important bit of that stat that you're missing is not that it's European teams knocking them out, but that they haven't gotten past a knock out game against a European team since 2002.
