Retired and not interested in management. He was asked about going back to Cardiff and said no, most he'd do now is be an advisor to a younger manager

There really isnt any meme picks left, even Big Sam would tell them no after how he was hounded out for getting 8th
Big Sam has turned them down, again Im not suprised as within 3 days theyve sacked their manager, gone up for sale and then gone off sale.

Everton is a poison chalice and any manager who takes that job will ruin his career.

We are only 4 minutes into Mainz vs Dortmund and it's already 1:1 wtf

They really started the match with 2 goals within the first 4 minutes and then nothing happened anymore until 90+x minute when Dortmund scored the 2:1. Well, and a fire alarm went down around the 80th minute. Nobdoy knows why but nobody also cared.

This is the Bundesliga table atm. Technically now it's halftime as the we have 17 match days for every half of the season. When the World Cup started we only had 15 games played.

I can't remember when it was that close for the first 6 ranks the last time. But I dare to say that after 10 years of Bayern being champions we really might see this streak to be broken.

And I can't believe that I'm saying this but even Frankfurt might have a chance to place first If we would have won against Freiburg yesterday Frankfurt would be 3rd now, only 2 points behind Bayern, and we play against them on Saturday. A win against them would probably have ment we would have been first. Won't happen now obviously but still a win against Bayern this weekend would be massive.

@Onni Kalsarikännit Can't believe you didn't report on this (forgive me if you did)

Bayern have sacked their goalkeeper coach on the notion that he was leaking internal coaches chats to players. I doubt anyone believes a guy who was there for 12 years was just discovered to be leaking messages. The rumor I have heard is that, Bayern are pissed that Neuer got himself hurt now and forced Bayern to spend money on Sommer without really knowing if this was a plan. Plus Neuer basically pushed out Alex Nubel thanks to the goalkeeper coach barely doing anything with other keepers and refusing to train the academy goalkeepers. Now it looks like a few big players at Bayern are tired of Neuer influencing everything and are starting to push him out. This is probably the first signal to Neuer that his time is coming to an end. This is on top of Bayern struggling in the league.

I am also enjoying the Bayern backroom attacking Gnabry and Sane as if they aren't the future players they need to keep dominating. There aren't many other young players they can build around outside of Kimmich and Musiala

I haven't indeed bc I just learned about it thanks to your post.

I knew that Gnabry got a bit into hot water bc he has been in Paris for some fancy fashion show. Like he got called out by the upper guys in public who didn't like this one-day-vacation but that's it.

I learned yesterday that Bayern kicked out their goal coach but I heard nothing about the reasons. I searched a bit around and the story starts to be reported atm. Articles are dropping and it looks very serious. It might be the end of Neuer at Bayern.

But another news is that De Light is under investigation bc he might be involved in the shit that happened with Juventus.

So the Arsenal result today was pretty obvious as soon as the team news came out.

From an Arsenal point of view, its probably for the best. Some squad players will lose out on potential game time to show whether they should be getting into the squad or not but europa league might provide that. But Arsenal do not have the squad depth to be competing for these tournaments and facing off against City this early was never going to draw out the best 11 for Arsenal

From a City point of view, its also a good result. Still going in the FA cup is important, especially after losing to Southampton in the EFL cup. The premier league race is still on, Champions League is there to be won, and getting the FA cup makes this season not a complete waste. I think City's squad is completely different than Arsenal's in that, nobody knows what City's best 11 is at the moment. They will need to figure out what their best 11 is come knock out rounds for the Champions League and for the Arsenal games in the league when Arsenal trot out their best 11. If City only manage to pick up 4 points against Arsenal, the title race is all but over

Bayern had their third 1:1 in a row now lol

The matches against PSG will be wild. Bayern needs to win -and at least reach the half final- or Nagelsmann will be gone for sure.

Last season, his first one, he "only" won the Bundesliga. He lost in CL against Villareal in the quarterfinals and got kicked out of DFB Cup 5:0.
It's his 2nd season and there has to be more outcome than last season. It's natural law.

Imagine Bayern kicks him out. Then they paid 20 million as fee to get a coach who only won them one league title. Hilarious.

So happy for this. The Bundesliga race is now on. Union Berlin is a point behind Bayern, Leipzig is 2 points. If Dortmund win tomorrow then both Freiburg and Dortmund will be 3 points behind a struggling Bayern. Been waiting way too long for a title race

I am really hoping this happens. Kicking out Neuer and then kicking out Nagelsmann after losing money will be great. Need some other German clubs to step up and start challenging so the Bundesliga can be entertaining again

And even Frankfurt is in the race. The top 6 haven't been that close for years now.

If only Dortmund would get their shit together. I don't like them but one rival for Bayern is better than none rival.

In other news: Hertha BSC just announced that they kicked out Fredi Bobic. Hertha just doing Hertha things again 😍

Yeah they are 5 points off but they are gonna be a little behind because of the draw with bayern. But certainly in the race

The only reason I am cheering for Union Berlin and Leipzig is that they probably won't pull a Dortmund and choke when they shouldn't. Also Leipzig might have the money to match Dortmund and Bayern so I could give a shit about German tradition and wish them success

Alright time for some updates from the transfer market as things are heating up towards deadline day

Pierre Ekwah went for an undisclosed fee from West Ham to Sunderland. Very weird that a 21 year old midfielder who played for France's U-20 team was sold instead of put out on loan to Sunderland

Ludovic Ajorque from Strasbourg to Mainz for 5.3 mil. I guess Mainz decided to go for a Ligue 1 player this time instead of their normal lower French league transfer

Fabio Silva moves on loan to PSV Eindhoven from Wolves. Was previously on loan at Anderlecht so it seems like he is stepping up his competition

Arnaut Danjuma was a transfer target for Everton but hijacked by Tottenham. Not sure if Spurs have an option to buy but was funny to see Everton thwarted once again. This probably puts Tottenham out of the race for Nicolo Zaniolo

Daniel Bentley has been sold to Wolves from Bristol City. No idea why a team struggling in the Championship has so many players wanted by the premier league

Pierluigi Gollini has moved from his loan at Atalanta to a loan at Napoli while Salvatore Sirigu is moving to Fiorentina on a free. Weird little move but why Sirigu would leave a champions league side and potential league winner is weird

Darren Randolph has left one relegation battle side to join another. West Ham half let him go to Bournemouth on a free

Didn't know this but John Brooks was apparently at Benfica for 6 months but struggled to do anything there. He is now back at Hoffenheim

Fullback James Bree has joined Southampton from Luton town. Appears to be a move for only 750k which might seem like a steal for a team in the playoff spots in the championship

Sunderland got another France U-20 player, this time from Lille. Isaac Lihadji was transferred for an undisclosed fee there. Idk if Sunderland are trying to make a push now or next year to get back to the premier league

Julien Duranville has been signed by Dortmund for 8.5 mil from Anderlecht. Dortmund have found another 16 year old talent that will potentially become the next best thing in 2 years

Tunisian midfielder Aissa Laidouni has moved from Ferencvaros to Union Berlin. Seems like Union is trying to make a push for the title and I am here for it

Antoine Semenyo is the other Bristol City player to move this transfer window. Seems almost like a free transfer (says transferred for 0) but he scored 21 goals this season so we will see if Bournemouth can get any use out of him. No idea if that also takes Bournemouth out of the Zaniolo race. Seemed like Bournemouth wanted him on loan with an obligation to buy if they survived but Roma is kinda cash strapped

Leeds and Southampton target Bamba Dieng has moved from Marseille to Lorient for 6.6 mil. The 22 year old's price could jump to 10 mil if certain targets are met

Azzedine Ounahi has moved from Angers to Marseille. A break out star for Morocco in the world cup, his 8.8 mil move should be interesting to see how he pans out

What Allegri is doing to Juventus is a crime against football. They are playing Monza (a newly promoted side) at home and have dropped back and given them possession. They are losing 2-0 in the first half.

Everything about this team says 4-3-3. The front 3 could be Chiesa-Vlahovic-Di Maria. The midfield also has a ton of quality. Yet Allegri sets up in a 3-5-1-1 which is more like a 5-3-1-1 with absolutely nothing going forward. Every player in the starting 11 is playing out of position. It's a disgrace.

Napoli were after this player. He would've done quite well there imo. But I hear Marseille has a good sporting project as well. I thought he was one of the top 3 midfielders in the WC.

Marseille seem to always be a really good landing spot for players with a connection to France. I think you are right about the sporting project although it might just be that he could land somewhere with a higher contract. I also wonder how seriously Napoli were after him

Lol Liverpool.
Brighton are surprisingly really good and I think Liverpool need to be out of every competition and focus on the premier league so they can make the europa league next year

Anthony Gordon has moved from Everton to Newcastle. Newcastle need a winger and are hoping Gordon can start to fill that role. Transfer fee is believed to be 40 mil with an ability to rise to 45 mil with add ons

Hot take: Victor Osimhen is the best striker in the world right now. The only thing that gives me pause is the absolute shit state of Serie A atm. I can't tell if Napoli is good enough to make a deep CL run because they don't get to play any good teams domestically. But Osimhen is electric. Better technique than Haaland and plays with just as much intensity.

This is certainly a hot take (until Napoli dominate the Champions League lol)

Anyone watch this yet? I’m only one episode in but it’s a pretty interesting behind-the-scenes look at the failed Super League. It really makes the owner of Juventus look like a power hungry villain who spearheaded the whole thing. He was best mates with the president of UEFA and tried to leverage that relationship to his advantage. Can’t recommend it just yet but might be worth pirating.
