Apparently Max Allegri had another meltdown last week after losing the coppa semifinal to Inter. Completely unprovoked, he sperged out at Inter's sporting director in the tunnel after the game, telling him "you have a dead squad and will finish in 7th in the league".

Fast forward just a few days later, Inter beats Lazio and Juve drop points to Bologna. Inter are now 3 points behind Juve in the Serie A table. LOL

It's almost like Juve have a humiliation fetish keeping this guy around.

1. semi final of DFB cup, halftime, Freiburg vs RB Leipzig, 0:4.

I hate this world.

Edit: RB Leipzig saw a red card in the 60th minute or so. Game ended 5:1 for RB. Goddamit.

Tomorrow is the 2nd semi final, Stuttgart vs Frankfurt.
Stuttgart is battling relegation so that should be a must-win for Frankfurt but of course we are talking about Frankfurt. Whole team fell apart a few months ago. Too many people injured, too many people with their heads already gone to new clubs, Glasner probably on his way out too, everything sucks, so I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to a team that might get relegated at the end of season.

My last look at the 538 stats site, they still have a greater than 0% chance of relegation. This late in the season! Jesus what a pathetic form this was.

Meanwhile It looks like Messi is going to follow Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia. (Archive)
Idk if Messi goes to Saudi Arabia, but it looks like he is probably going to put himself in the boat Ronaldo was in last year. His wages are too high, doesn't want to take a pay cut, PSG want him off the books, and the only club who would willingly pay his wages is Barcelona who are about a month away from paying people in monopoly money. So it looks like Messi's choices are 1) Saudi Arabia to get paid still, 2) Go to the MLS to make a little less money but get an ownership percentage of a team, or 3) get paid way less to go play in Argentina

Congratulations to Haaland for breaking the PL single season goal record with 5 games still to play. What a monster.

We did it, Reddit! Frankfurt won and is in the DFB cup final!

But holy shit, that match was a wild ride. Stuttgart bullied us in the 1st half completely and scored the 1:0. But Frankfurt came back and at some point it was 1:3 for Frankfurt and Stuttgart even got a red card 85th minute but then Stuttgart scored their 2nd goal and in the very last seconds of the game they nearly got a penalty for hand play. But the ref decided against it. Luckily. Could have given it though and we couldn't complain.

Real Madrid is very close to signing Jude Bellingham, according to Fabrizio Romano. Real just can't stop cucking Liverpool and English clubs as a whole, it seems.

This guy is unreal. He's en route to become the greatest goalscorer of all time if he keeps scoring like this.

Thought I would give a brief overview of the EFL going into the final weekend of play since everything will get decided soon. Might be fun to check in on the weekend

EFL Championship-
Burnley won it and Sheffield United are guaranteed second. Both are going up next year
Luton Town will finish 3rd and Middlesbrough will finish 4th. They will have the "advantage" in the playoff tourney
(Goal Differential) Coventry (12) are sitting in 5th on 69 points with Millwall (8) in 6th on 68 points but both haven't mathematically been set at those spots due to the GD. Sunderland (10), West Brom (7), and Blackburn (-3) can theoretically catch them.
Blackpool and Wigan have been relegated. Reading may be relegated as well if Huddersfield can get at least a point against Sheffield United in their midweek game on Thursday. Otherwise the relegation scrap on the final day could be fun since the GD for Huddersfield is -18 and Reading is -20 so if Huddersfield lose by more than 1 goal than it literally comes down to the final game.
Important games of note on the final day
Millwall vs Blackburn
Middlesbrough vs Coventry
Preston vs Sunderland
Swansea vs West Brom
Huddersfield vs Reading (could literally decide who goes down if Huddersfield lose 2-0 or more to Sheffield)

EFL League 1
Plymouth Argyle and Ipswich town are back in the Championship on guaranteed promotions. Its a 1 point gap so theoretically either could win the league.
Sheffield Wednesday will guaranteed be 3rd, Barnsley will guaranteed be 4th, and Bolton will be in the playoff spot but either at 5th or 6th as they sit on 78 points with a 25 GD. Derby County are on 76 points with a 22 GD and only Peterborough can catch them as they are on 74 points with a 19 GD.
Forest Green have been confirmed relegated and Accrington Stanley are all but mathematically confirmed to be relegated. The other 2 teams are up in the air. Oxford could theoretically lose by a billion goals with their 47 points and -6 GD but unlikely. MK Dons have 44 points and a -22 GD which keeps them out of the relegation zone. In the relegation zone is Morecambe on 44 points with a -30 GD and Cambridge on 43 points with a -29 GD.
Notably games on the final day
Barnsley vs Peterborough
Bristol Rovers vs Bolton
Sheffield Wednesday vs Derby County
Oxford United vs Accrington
Burton vs MK Dons
Cambridge United vs Forest Green
Exeter vs Morecambe

EFL League 2
Leyton Orient won the league on 90 points, Stevenage are guaranteed to go up with 82 points but may finish in the second or third guaranteed spot. Northampton are in 3rd but could potentially be pulled into the playoffs on 80 points 19 GD with Stockport in 4th on 78 points 28 GD. Stockport are also guaranteed to be in the playoffs but which spot is unknown at the moment as 5th place Carlisle (23 GD), 6th place Salford City (19 GD) and 7th place Bradford City (18 GD) all sit on 75 points. Mansfield Town are on 72 points with 15 GD and are the only ones who could move into a playoff spot here.
No relegation scrap here as Rochdale and Hartlepool have been guaranteed relegated.
Notable games on the final day
Tranmere vs Northampton Town
Stockport vs Hartlepool
Sutton United vs Carlisle
Salford City vs Gillingham
Bradford City vs Leyton Orient
Colchester vs Mansfield Town

Huddersfield managed to beat Sheffield United on Thursday, allowing them to leapfrog Cardiff, Rotherham, and QPR. All 3 teams from the Championship getting relegated are confirmed. Reading, Blackpool, and Wigan are going down

In this past weekend's news:

Premier League: We finally have our first relegated team, and it was only a matter of time. Southampton's habitually getting poached caught up with them, and they are mathematically out even if they win their remaining games. An irate Leeds fan had gone past the stewards and confronted Eddie Howe on the touchline. Idiot. Arsenal's injuries did them no favors as they further slipped in that 3-0 home humiliation against a Brighton squad with European aspirations.

Lower English leagues: It's looking like Sheffield Wednesday would remain in League One after being handed a nasty 4-0 thrashing by Peterborough United. They still have a home leg but this is an uphill battle. Notts County advances to League 2 after winning the National League playoffs, ensuring their return to the EFL since 2019.

La Liga: Barcelona seals their title by beating their rivals Espanyol, who is pretty much likely headed for relegation. Valencia wins again and will likely avoid relegation, lucky bastards.

Bundesliga: Remarkably, no team has been mathematically relegated yet, even when Hertha got thrashed by Koln. With Bochum's victory, Stuttgart is back in the relegation zone and Schalke runs the risk of a relegation playoff spot.

Oh Arsenal, I knew you'd probably end up losing the title at the end but boy has the collapse been exceptional. Newcastle is making a very good attempt at choking their Champions League qualification too.
