All this time you made me want to hate Allegri, and with one cup win, he has made me forever love him. Winning, telling off a bunch of refs, and promising to beat the shit out of journalists? Build him a fucking statue
The funniest thing is, he has so many friends in the media who have been doing PR for him for the last three years. He sought out the director from the only paper that was critical and threatened to hurt him. Now whenever a journalist says a good thing about Allegri, we can tell them “you’re just saying that so he doesn’t rip your ears off” lmao

More managerial news, Arne Slot replacing Klopp:

Feyenoord coach Arne Slot has confirmed he will replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager.

Klopp has been in charge of the Reds since October 2015 but is leaving at the end of the season after a reign that has seen him win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and two EFL Cups.

After Klopp's announcement in January several managers were considered leading contenders, but in April BBC Sport learned that Slot was set to get the job after a compensation deal worth up to £9.4m was agreed with Feyenoord.

"I can confirm that I will become the trainer there next year," Slot said on Friday.

Slot's final game at Feyenoord after three years in charge will be Sunday's Eredivisie home match with Excelsior.

Klopp's time at Liverpool ends on the same day with a home Premier League game against Wolves.

Feyenoord confirmed the 45-year-old's departure on social media, saying: "The Arne Slot era is coming to an end. Let's enjoy the last moments."

Liverpool have not commented on the announcement.

It finally happened. Max Allegri has been sacked from Juventus. Thiago Motta deal apparently already done.

We are so back. :)

Talks with Tuchel have failed, and he's confirmed he's leaving Bayern.

Barcelona, despite convincing Xavi to stay just months ago, are now apparently gonna fire him as the board is pissed at comments he made during a recent press conference. What heinous things did he say you ask?
So pointing out the obvious with Barcelona is a fireable offense. Just makes you hate them more and more

It took all season of me telling you that hope wasn't lost. And now its done. Plus Allegri went out like a boss too

I've always believed in Giuntoli. Now he is finally free of Max. He and Motta will cook this summer.
Plus Allegri went out like a boss too
So true. I will never forget watching his outburst after being sent off, or the ensuing celebrations.
Parody account but these images go hard.

Bayern have no been rejected by: Xabi, Nagelsmann, Rangnick, Emery, Lopetegui, Tuchel, Flick, Glasner (sorta), and now De Zerbi. Genuinely embarrassing. But on the Brightside, Pioli, Allegri, and probably Ten Hag will all be available, Bayern bros.

This also likely means that De Zerbi could be heading to Barca, AC Milan, or possibly United.

I thought Eberl was supposed to fix the recruitment woes. Only Xabi and Rangnick make Bayern better in that rejection list.

Tuchel was a huge mistake. Today’s hoffenheim game exemplifies the performances for Bayern under him. First 10 minutes the football looks really good but then capitulation. Then Bayern plays defensive to stop giving up easy chances and never leaves its shell. I still don’t know what Tuchel’s tactics are besides reacting. You can do that in cup play, but not during league play. Disgraceful.

While it pains me to shit on FCB, it's deserved but I will save it for later. A shout-out is deserved for Leverkusen. No one else has had an undefeated season in the Bundesliga, and I will be watching their Europa League and Pokal finals with great interest. Hell of a team Xabi and the staff have put together.

So some brief news updates for you guys since its getting to that time

Oxford United won the promotion playoffs final against Bolton 2-0. The former premier league club will remain in the third tier.

Crewe Alexandra vs Crawley Town will happen tomorrow/today for the promotion to league 1

Bromley beat Solihull Moors in the Conference Premier to go up with Chesterfield to League 2

In Argentina, Deportivo Riesta (a first division team in the 28 team top flight in Argentina) played and lost to Newell's Old Boys 1-0 in the Copa Argentina round of 32. The notible part of this was the substitute appearance of Mateo Apolonio Berruezo, who was born April 17th, 2010. Just so you all feel old

Now that the seasons are over (or winding down), and West Ham, Fulham, and Tottenham failed to do anything to prevent City from winning the title yet again, lets take a look at the qualifications for next year.

England
Champions League next season- Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa
Europa League- Tottenham
European competition- Chelsea
Relegated- Luton, Burnley, Sheffield
Promoted- Leicester, Ipswitch, Leeds/Southampton

Depending on the FA cup result, the final european spot and Chelsea's placement will be determined
United win- United get Europa League, Chelsea get conference league
City win- Chelsea get Europa League, Newcastle get conference league

Germany
Champions League next season- Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund
Europa League- Frankfurt
Conference League- Hoffenheim
Relegated- Koln, Daqrmstadt
Promoted- St Pauli, Holstein Kiel
Bochum and Fortuna Dusseldorf will play in the 2 legged playoff.

Depending on the Champions league result, a dortmund win will push Frankfurt into champions league, hoffenheim into europa league, and Heidenheim into the conference league

France
Champions League next season- PSG, Monaco, Brest. Lille will go into the qualifying rounds
Europa League- Nice, Lyon
Conference league- Lens
Relegated- Lorient, Clermont
Promoted- Auxerre, Angers
Playoffs- St-Etienne, Rodez, Paris FC, Metz (from Ligue 1)

Metz literally found a tie breaker that was insanely far down to get into the playoffs and avoid the drop on Lorient. Same on points, goal differential, head to head points, head to head goal difference, head to head goals scored, but Metz had 1 more head to head away goal scored. The playoffs are Paris FC and Rodez playing, winner plays St-Etienne and that winner plays Metz.

Spain
Champions League- Real Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Atletico Madrid
Europa League- Bilbao, Sociedad
Conference League- Betis
Relegated- Cadiz, Granada, Almeria
Promotion- tbd (2 match days left and the top 3 are separated by 2 points which could determine promotion or playoffs)

Spain is decided on literally every race outside of who gets promoted. This was pretty much decided prior to the last day with some races but now it has eliminated the final day fun. Theres literally no point outside of placement on the table for all the teams who aren't qualified for shit. And unlike the premier league, the placements won't amount to a million or so extra in compensation.

Italy
Champions League- Inter, AC Milan, Bologna, Juventus (Most Likely) Atalanta
Europa League- Roma, Lazio
Conference League- Fiorentina (currently)
Relegated- Salernitana, Sassuolo
Promoted- Parma, Como

Some races are surprisingly not finished in Serie A. Atalanta would have to fully collapse against Torino and Fiorentina while Roma beating Emploi on the final day and then have tie breakers go their way. Lazio could theoretically collapse and have Fiorentina catch them with their final 2 games as well but unlikely. The bigger races here are Fiorentina having a 1 point and 2 game gap over Napoli right now and Emploi being 1 point behind Udinese and Verona, 2 points behind Frosinone, and 3 points behind Cagliari for that final relegation spot. For promotion, Venezia plays Palermo and Cremonese plays US Catanzaro in the playoffs

Depending on the Champions league result, a dortmund win will push Frankfurt into champions league, hoffenheim into europa league, and Heidenheim into the conference league

There are four possible scenarios bc the DFB cup winner also plays international:

1) Leverkusen wins the DFB Cup, Dortmund wins CL
Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund and Frankfurt play CL
Hoffenheim plays Euro League
Heidenheim plays Conference League play-offs

2) Leverkusen wins the DFB Cup, Dortmund doesn't win CL.
Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund play CL
Frankfurt and Hoffenheim play EL
Heidenheim plays Conference League play-offs

3) Kaiserslautern wins DFB Cup, Dortmund wins CL
Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund and Frankfurt play CL
Hoffenheim and Kaiserslautern play Euro League
Heidenheim plays Conference League play-offs

4) Kaiserslautern wins DFB Cup, Dortmund doesn't win CL
Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund play CL
Frankfurt and Kaiserlautern play Euro League
Hoffenheim plays Conference League play-off
Heidenheim gets nothing

Leverkusen winning DFB cup fucks Kaiserslautern out of competition no matter what Dortmund does.
No matter what Dortmund does we will have 8 teams playing international competition next season.
Leverkusen winning or losing the Euro League doesn't matter.

This happened a while back but the game against Celtic and Rangers was fairly straight forward. Bunch of flying tackles and Celtic came out with a win. But my god, listen to the clearly Scottish man complaining about a very obvious red card. If that's not the most Scottish thing you have heard in a while, I would be shocked. Dude went through the back of the Celtic player's calf and achilles and the announcer is just complaining that he shouldn't have put his leg in the way lmfao
