USA also doesn't really care that much about football but they have an ok team, they are never going to develop a Messi tier talent and it's very unlikely that they will win the world cup, but it's not pathetically bad like china.
Tbf the likes of Pulisic, Josh Sargent and managers like Jesse Marsch making it to the PL and becoming more prominent in American sports culture (mostly Pulisic) will have probably spurred more kids into football. Even Messi moving to Miami probably had millions of people watching football for the first time and inspiring an upcoming generation of US talent. The women's team probably has a better chance of producing good talent, but either way I'd say there's more exposure now than there used to be.

China just doesn't have that. There's no notable footballing history, no icons to look up to and the Chinese football league doesn't get the traction it wants. The last notable thing I even remember them doing for foreign exposure was when Oscar moved there to join Shanghai Port.

Juve 2-0
Liverpool 1-0
Man City 1-1
Leverkusen 2-1 (both goals after the 85th minute)
Atalanta 0-0
Atletico 3-1
Bayern 5-0
Madrid 2-1 (2 penalties to Madrid)
Lille 1-1
Shakhtar 1-0
Celtic 1-1
Benfica 2-0
Stade Brest 1-0
Villa 2-1
Salzburg 2-1
PSG 3-0
Dortmund 3-2
Monaco 1-1
Somehow got Man City right, Celtic decided to fuck me over and so did Salzburg. Shakhtar seems to have sent their best players to the front lines (those fuckers). Dortmund win was a pretty easy call and PSG just barely won

Not anymore. The rest of the world has caught up to the US and as time passes, the USWNT will continue to fall behind

Some interesting stories in this first day of "league" play, but this was an enjoyable eyebrow raiser, Monaco over Barcelona 2-1. I can't really complain about the red card but at 11', not the best time to go short-handed.

18 matches and only 3 of them ended 0:0 with one of them being Man City against Inter. PSG only won with a goal in the last minute of regular time., Barcelona lost and we had a 11 goal match with Bayern versus Zagreb (and two goals got scratched bc of offside). Not bad for a 1st day.

Got the Benfica game, the Leverkusen game, the Atalanta game, the brest game, and the Atletico game correct. Thought Monaco was being slept on but didn't think they could pull that off. Overall pretty good predictions

So this happened in 2. Bundesliga:

Schalke pissed away a 3:0 lead against Darmstadt.

Before the match Darmstadt had 2 draws and 3 loses while Schalke had 1 win, 1 draw and 3 loses. Darmstadt had fired their coach two weeks ago and got Florian Kohfeldt who is kind of a meme coach.
Kohfeldt had one good half season as coach with Bremen in 1. Bundesliga and nearly led them into international competition but the following season Bremen nearly got relegated to 2. Bundesliga under his leadership so he got fired. He then showed up in Wolfsburg where he took over for Mark van Bommel who had led Wolfsburg to play Champions League. He fucked up in Wolfsburg, got fired and got a job in Belgium. Where his team barely escaped relegation-again- and so he lost his job just within a year - again.
Also Darmstadt got relegation from 1. Bundesliga to 2. Bundesliga with playing one of the worst season any team has ever played in Bundesliga.

Darmstadt is now one point ahead of Schalke thanks to this win.

And the game was even wilder than only the result. During the game several energy blackouts happened in the stadion so the TV cameras couldn't catch all the goals.
And Schalke fired their coach today.
And their director of sports.

ter Stegen got injured in the match against Villareal. Talk about a cursed national team career. First you are your whole life in the shadow of one of the best keepers of all time so you have no chance of being number 1 goalkeeper in the national team. Then the number 1 finally retires and you can finally step up just to get injured and miss the whole season. And people are already talking about bringing Neuer back.

Who do they even have as ter Stegen's back-up? Bernd Leno? Nübel? That doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Leno, Nübel, Baumann from TSG Hoffenheim (currently 11th with 3 points after 4 matches , GD 6:11) and theoritcally they could call up Kevin Trapp from Frankfurt but he is injured too at the moment.

Well, fuck. At the beginning of September one of Frankfurt's youth coaches died in a car crash. Now it got revealed that the day he died the cops actually raided his home and the cops found some hard drives with CSAM. The raid was triggered bc someone made a report to the cops. The coach's death was declared an accident when it happened but obviously this fucking piece of shit killed himself. And bc of him being dead the investigation is now getting closed.

May he rot in hell.

I’m a bit late but that two legged stomp tackle by Martinez last week was easily a red card. That’s a career ending tackle.
He did a clumsy tackle against Twente too where his studs were up and got away with it. He had Maguire playing next to him and somehow managed to make himself look like more of a donkey than him.

The Club is aware of abhorrent homophobic chanting from sections of our away support at Old Trafford today.

This is simply unacceptable, hugely offensive and no way to show support for the team.

The Club will be working closely with the Police and stewards to identify anyone instigating or joining in with the chanting - we shall take the strongest possible action in accordance with our Sanctions and Banning Policy.

Supporters in attendance today can report anything they’ve seen or heard in confidence to supporterservices@tottenhamhotspur.com

We shall be continuing our work with our LGBTQ+ supporters’ association, Proud Lilywhites, to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans on matchdays.

We are justly proud of our superb and loyal support, home and away. However, we all have a responsibility to act as ambassadors of Tottenham Hotspur and discrimination of any kind has no place at our Club.

Asking people to snitch on your own fans bc of hurt feelings and mean words is fucking gay.
