I hope the City point deductions get passed to Manchester United as well. This club is such a shit show that they deserve to be relegated at some point
Nah that would give them something to kvetch about. If you really want United to suffer you should want them to continue exactly as they are, languishing in mid table mediocrity with no prospects of anything getting better.

Antonio getting out of a crash like this with just broken legs is unreal, fella is built different

Their time in the Championship would be wonderful though. They have too many people on high wages and would have to cut down on their squad in order to financially compete. The amount of games they would have to play would keep them lower mid table until they could get a new squad and Manchester United could be remembered like Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Stoke City, Portsmouth, and Sunderland just to name a few

Can we still sack loptegui anyway
Wolves fucking themselves over by not picking up 3 points and dragging you guys down by giving Loptegui a few more weeks is peak

PSG grabbed a needed win today against Salzburg. They have a game against City in January and end against Stuttgart at the end of January. Could have City collapsed by then

Moyes' time was up and he at least got to leave without being sacked. Most goals conceded in a season ever by the team and 3 wins in 2024 is pretty untenable for literally any manager (the season of the conference league win was similarly dire). Playing defensive football where you concede a record amount isn't it

Apparently Sullivan had offered Moyes a new contract but rescinded it after the Arsenal loss, which cemented his decision to leave (on top of falling out with Steidten). We'll never get anywhere with the fat midget controlling the team

Next manager needs to bring Pablo Fornals home
Would you take Graham Potter at this point? I saw him last week as a pundit on one of the EPL games after spending a lot of time out of the limelight, and wondered where he could end up next. Given how shit Lopetegui is and how bad morale is at the club right now I'd have thought he'd be sniffing at it to try and get back into management.

I wanted Potter back in the summer, honestly. He's apparently game to join too, its just dependent on two things:

1- Sullivan admitting he made a mistake and shouldn't have pulled rank on Steidten
2- Sullivan spending money to sack Lop

Neither of which will happen until after christmas, so the circus continues

It really sucks that the next Champions League match up won't happen until January 21st. PSG are sitting just outside the 24th slot for the next round a point behind Dinamo Zagreb, PSV, and Man City. Their next match up will be against Man City as well. And then they close out with VFB Stuttgart, who are one place below PSG due to goal differential.

Stuttgart play Slovan Bratislava as their week 7 match, a team with no points and eliminated from the Champions League.

Dinamo Zagreb hold the last spot for qualifying but they are at Arsenal in Week 7 who are competing for a bye in the elimination game, and AC Milan, who are 1 point away from the first round bye.

PSV, tied with City and Zagreb will play Red Star Belgrade week 7 who are on 3 points and need to win in order to survive, and end with Liverpool who are perfect so far this season in the Champions League

Man City's last game will be against Club Brugge, who are 2 points ahead of them and play Juventus in week 7.

Celtic are 2 points ahead of the "relegation" zone after tying Zagreb and will play Young Boys, who have been eliminated, and finish up with Aston Villa, who are sitting 5th and tied on 13 points with just about everyone. Villa will be playing Monaco in week 7 so there is a good chance Villa will be playing for a first round bye.

Real Madrid are also tied with Celtic on 9 points. They finish up with Red Bull Salzburg who are mid table in the Austrian Bundesliga and on 3 points like Red Star Belgrade, thus needing a win to survive. They will then finish up with Brest (teehee) who are still in the top 8. Brest will be playing Shakhtar Donetsk in Week 7 who are on 4 points and may be eliminated with a loss.

While certainly complicated, the last 2 days are bringing some drama at the bottom. But the top of the league is just stupid close right now. Liverpool clearly on top, Barcelona 3 points back. And then 6 teams tied on 13 points for the top 8 and 19th place Brugge are 3 points behind a top 8 spot

Arsenal and Liverpool trying their hardest to let city back into the prem race

Seems like a pattern.

Just a few weeks ago FC Bayern was 8 points ahead of Leverkusen and Uli Hoeneß from FC Bayern already declared his club to be this season's winners.

At the moments FC Bayern is ahead 4 points:

Should Frankfurt beat RB Leipzig today it's only 3 points that they are ahead of the 2nd ranked team then.

City are so fucked lmao. They have too many shit transfers in, too few players to rotate their squad, and their charges have increased to 130. They might legit implode

Jose gonna get that trophy for United one way or another. Bald headed fraud will never be a GOAT to me because he has always been around money and legacy. Jose, even in his "washed" era got Roma and Spurs to cup finals.
