Actually I'd prefer it if the SPL DIDN'T become a visa farm for every fucking nigger to ever exist to have a way into British citizenship.

I miss when visas were cracked down on so only quality players ever made it to the UK, not the current sitation where Dulka Prague's fourth goalkeeper can come to the UK and sign for Wimbledon.

The Scottish League could and should become like Ligue 1, a stock market for selling players to better leagues where the smaller teams invest in players rather than patching up their team with older players. There's similarities with having one/two dominant teams so the others had to think differently. They probably needs to do that long term to have a chance to survive at least financially because previously only really Celtic have been able to recruit good young players.
If you look at Hearts, who are first right now by 6 points, you can see they have a bunch of younger players coming from other countries. They are signing young players from smaller leagues to try and compete. Don't know how well it will go on but it might work

Hearts signed agreement with an exclusivity contract with Jamestown Analytics around this time last year then Tony Bloom, Brighton owner with similar deals with USG in Belgium and an Australian team, has bought in for a non controlling share of the club for between £8-10m, who stated he believes Hearts can split the Old Firm within next 5 years and will win the league within 10 years.

Only halfway through the season with Hearts 6 clear and although no-one anticipated Celtic's drop off this season, Rangers have managed to make up for their start under Russell Martin as well as how well Motherwell have been so far this season, the two Glasgow clubs could potentially still bring in players who's value are worth the same as entire squads as well as will still benefit from refereeing decisions on the day to get points that are later decided "VAR" should've ruled otherwise--penalties awarded to them, denied against and same for cards.

Losing to this wolves side should in of itself relegate west ham no matter how they do for the rest of the season.
I agree. Sack nuno immediately as well, he's got the tactical skill of a potato.

The only solace of relegation might be that Sullivan fucks off or goes and joins Gold, whatever's quicker

Speaking of sacking people; Man U has sacked Amorim.
Happy fucking New Year motherfuckers, turns out waking up in pain at 5am ain't so bad after all.

While shit hasn't been going great for Utd recently they are still 6th on GD and only one win off 4th, which felt like an impossibility after last season and the beginning of this one, so I kinda figured that might be enough to keep him in his job at least for the foreseeable future. Apparently whatever shit is going on behind the scenes was worse than his vagueposting made out.

The funny thing is basically since Christmas I've been planning to do an effort post about how Utd's current position is less about them being good and everyone else kinda being poor, and how I thought we were 6th largely despite Amorim, rather than because of him. Turns out I should have gotten round to it sooner.

Honestly I'm kinda hoping that whoever replaces him makes some changes and goes on an absolute fucking tear. Not just because I want my team to win but because I want to see Amorim's stupid fucking one trick pony system get completely and utterly BTFO.

Edit: Celtic saw what Man U did, said "Hold my Guinness" and also sacked their coach. After just one month in charge.

8 games and 13 training sessions later lol.

With Maresca and Amorin, we are starting to see a bunch of sporting directors grabbing more power over squad management and managers/coaches getting less power. Its going to be hard to find people in these big clubs who are willing to let this happen

UPDATE ON ISL

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is pleased to announce that the 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) season will commence on February 14, 2026. The 14 participating teams will compete in a single-leg round-robin format. Detailed fixtures will be released following further consultation with the clubs.
SAAR, Indian football is saved!

Potentially the biggest upset in FA Cup history just happened as sixth tier side Macclesfield have knocked current holders Crystal Palace out of the competition at the third round with a score of 2-1. This is the first time a non-league team has knocked out the previous season's winners since 1908.

Getting kicked out from a cup as reigning champion by a team that's 5 leagues below you is surely some achievement. Not one you would want but still I salute your efforts.

For further context:
Macclesfield were just promoted from the 7th tier after starting at the bottom of the pyramid in 2021 in the NWCFL Premier Division in the 9th tier. The stadium was bought for £500,000 after the previous club went bankrupt in 2020. Last season, this is one of the "stadiums" they played at:

In terms of historical context in English football:
- First time a 6th-tier side beat a top-flight opponent in history
- First team below 4th tier to beat last year's winners since 117 years
- Largest League Place upset, 117 places between the two teams (was it fate?)

Also, on 16th of December 2025, Ethan McLeod, their striker that scored to get them to this fixture in the previous round, died in a car accident while traveling back from a match.
