So I think Hearts can effectively wrap up the Scottish Prem this weekend if they beat Motherwell Saturday and Rangers win the Old Firm Derby Sunday. Of course, it also depends on the sorting rules which I'm not too familiar with. But for sure if they win Saturday, then beat Falkirk next Wednesday, we'll finally have a new Scottish Champion for the first time in 41 fucking years. But again, it all hinges on Celtic losing Sunday.

My math might be off, but if I did the math right (American decimal points, sorry):
If Freiburg lose tomorrow, it's over. Spain gets an extra CL spot and Germany gets 4+2+1.

Freiburg winning tomorrow with Rayo Vallenco losing, would put Germany ahead (I think) by 0.004. With no more teams in competition for Spain, Germany would claim #2 in league coefficient and thus the extra CL spot. Freiburg then winning the Europa League would give them an automatic Champions spot and... I don't know if someone else gets their (potentially) Europa or Conference spot. I think it goes to the next highest qualifying winner of one of the smaller leagues, but I can't find that info on a search.

If both Freiburg and Rayo Vallenco (the last Spanish team competing in Europe, in Conference) win, the gap closes 0.31 (from difference of 0.42 today - Bayern losing didn't do anything). Freiburg would then have to win the Europa final, and Rayo Vallenco would have to lose the Conference final, for Germany to overtake. If both win out, I think the coefficients end up at 22.41 for Spain and 22.21 for Germany.

Edited: my math was shit, did the work on the edit.
My math was off, and Spain clench with Rayo Vallencano's place in the finals. Womp womp für Deutschland.

Yesterday for Libertadores, Independiente de Medellín hosted Flamengo and the match had to be stopped with barely a couple of minutes in because the Independiente barras went to the stadium to cause a huge ruckus in the stands in protest of the team's bad performances and the board of directors' mismanagement and open disdain against the club's fans.

More details in this article, including a video.

Bournemouth have suspended Alex Jimenez as there's a bunch of posts going round on Twatter:

You gonna clinch a nervy prem though after city dropped points to Everton.
The last time I had a week this happy with Arsenal was probably when they first won the FA Cup. And I think I am happier now than I was back then. The Fulham game followed by the Man City dropping points and then the semi final win is just so much. I don't think I can handle the hurt of losing both the premier league and the final

And Hearts stumble, of course. 1-1 draw with Motherwell. If Celtic win tomorrow they're a point behind, and both clubs will have 2 games to play. If they then both go on to win their respective fixtures on Wednesday, we'll have a title decider at Celtic Park as the two clubs go head to head. Dramatic finish to the season doesn't even begin to describe what's going on in Scotland.

Best case scenario at this stage: If Celtic lose tomorrow and Hearts win Wednesday, Hearts win the title. Regardless, if Celtic at minimum pick up at least 1 win and 1 draw in their next two, the title will be decided on the final day. If Celtic go into the final day 3 points behind and behind on goal difference, we're going to have an all out blitzkrieg from Celtic.

Exciting stuff no matter how you slice it.

A spicy situation arose in the Czech league. Slavia Prague had 8 point lead on second place Sparta Prague and if they won Saturday's match against Sparta, they would have secured the title. By the 55th minute, Slavia had 3-2 lead, when one of their players got his third direct red card this season. Then another one of their players also got a red card just at the start of overtime. The most plausible explanation for what happened in the overtime is that some fans got confused, thought the match was over and got onto the pitch to start celebrating. During this, they managed to attack three of Sparta's players and generally fuck everything up. So instead of winning or at least getting a tie, Slavia is going to lose by default and can potentially get points deducted. While my second league team generally cooperates with Slavia, I'm hoping for point deduction, since it would be really funny. Plus Slavia's CL performance this season was disgraceful, so I don't want them to get in next season.

Welp, Rangers, as usual, not doing themselves or anyone else any favors. They're down 3-1 with 30 minutes to go and I expect them to do absolutely nothing with it. So we'll see what Motherwell can do against Celtic on Wednesday.

Raya feels a hand on him and ragdolls. Mad that physicality in the box is suddenly not ok

Gg arsenal, you've managed to dark arts/cheat your way to the title, maybe we'll get somewhat competent officiating one day.

If only Fernandes just fucking scored man

I'm going to break the mold and say I agree with VAR, it was egregious impeding on Raya. Shirt was pulled and his arms held down, hard to argue.

My fucking frustration comes from the shit officiating throughout the game, West Ham being sloppy and not finishing golden chances, and Arsenal scraping by the skin of their teeth once again and a team not punishing them when given the chances. Then to have to watch a game in one of the most soulless grounds I've ever witnessed on top of it all. Just a grim match all around.

Even if you think of it that way, Arsenal's been getting with doing this for ages. Suddenly it's a foul when it goes against them. Ignoring stuff like Rice bearhugging Mavro as well in the same corner

This is the end result of continued weakness of the officials on 'soft' fouls
