Everyone has that weird thing they didn't learn until embarrassingly late. You have to be truly insufferable to get 'bullied' for it, though. Usually by not being able to laugh at yourself. It seems likely said bullying is half light-hearted mockery she can't take as a joke, and half insults based on the fact that she's already established she can't take a joke.

One of the most endearing qualities someone can have is the ability to laugh at themselves. Progressives can't.

So it's been a hot minute since things worked, but I have to say the funniest shit from the last week and a half was when Frosk was gloating about not getting shitcanned during the layoff wave, only to immediately get shitcanned like a day later.

This is actually insane. You have to be absolutely retarded to have that kind of reaction to a layoff, much less one you significantly contributed to.
Companies use layoffs as a last resort, when hiring freezes aren't fast enough. It means something isn't working at your current company, and the business outlook is bleak. The survivors end up having to do the workload of those who left. The top talent see it as a warning and are looking to leave. Doing it in multiple waves like G4 did is especially retarded since now the survivors are all wondering if they are next.
You'd have to be an absolute brainlet to have the kind of take Frosk did.

Frosk is a sociopath - people like her are completely fake and the whole woke shtick is a facade to hide that in reality they're far more venomous than the people they preach and talk down to. I'm assuming G4 has brought in the competent butchers by now. Frosk wasn't free-floating fat they could just readily excise. Operative word wasn't. I'm not sure what possessed her to make the "I survived" tweet but bragging about surviving round 1 is a quick way to lose the protection you had and find your way out the door on round 2. There's several normal conditions I can think of that it would flagrantly violate and someone like her it would be very easy to corner her into a termination with cause.

I get "you'll never work in this town again!" type pettiness is usually looked down upon but that's where I'd be if I were management. You fuck off with nothing and we keep our lips sealed. For even a red cent every bit of dirty laundry gets aired and you fight their claims to BK. There's no level of cost-cutting assured to work. If you let the literal personification of your demise successfully levy a claim like that, you're fucked anyway.

G4 absolutely could have been a success and found its niche if it actually stuck to the tone it had during the 2000s for older gamers like me who don't like the Kotaku type bullshit.

The time is absolutely ripe for non-Woke gaming journalism and it's crazy to me that no one wants to jump on that opportunity.

But they have. There's plenty of non-woke gaming video essays, reviews, news on the internet that gets tons of views.
But they're all independent and don't need a corporate network who takes all the profits and pays a shit salary and will most likely always have the right to veto or change whatever content they're working on.

I think that's probably the main reason why it failed. Regardless of their politics, G4 can't compete with top gaming youtubers and streamers. The corporate approach just doesn't work for that kind of content and audience.
People want unique personalities and interesting takes. But instead, G4 just put out the most generic shit possible and just aped whatever the other boring gaming news sites wrote.
