For those who haven't been following, this shit has gone from tardy to retardy. The lolcowlizer Katrina Leonoudakis, who some might know from the Higurashi Big Brudder shit, or when she was being a smug cunt when she localised My Life As Inukai-San’s Dog, or when she was defending the troonification of the cross-dressing trap manga I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend Into a Girl, probably the most famous lolcow in the anime localisation cabal (who looks like a fat tranny, but is just a fat bitch with dangerhair), has now latched herself to Nokotan, & gone on record calling this controversy an exmple of why "We Need To Educate Japanese Companies On What Good Localization Looks Like".

The cunt doesn't even realise that AI still can get better, unlike most lolcowlizers. In fact, the earlier subs for Nokotan (the first episode got early released around 4 days before official release & the earliest fansub then was translated by MTL, with very minor mistakes, which was manually fixed later by someone else, until another non-MTL fansub came out, then another one came out which happened to be a bit "burgerized/muttified" compared to the last one (they have localized the references by nuking the Detective Conan & Kindaichi Case Files references for Sherlock & Columbo, alongside some 4Kids tier "buck yeah" joke changing the antlers pun). Which led to a best of both worlds version.

Thanks to this, I've seen hundreds of other tweets all saying "localization isn't bad, look at this example" and inevitably it's been something fucking egregious and indefensible. It's been fun when it hasn't been frustrating knowing these retards exist. Plus side, these people seem to shut right the fuck up when you send them the FE support scene.

One of the most infuriating I've seen is from (I think) Fire Emblem where two ninja characters had all, or at least a lot of, their dialogue replaced with ellipses. Get it, because ninjas are silent? Isn't that so fucking hilarious?

That's the exact scene I'm referring to. And it's 100% of the dialogue. It's inexcusable.

As an unapologetic racist, I am not joking that at no point in my life did I ever make the comparison between cartoon orcs and trolls (thick lips or not) with niggers until well-meaning progressive leftists told us we're supposed to.

It still kills me that we'll never get a version of Skies of Arcadia that isn't made up by someone who doesn't know Japanese. Deflated any interest I have in going back to that game knowing that.
