This kind of blatant mistranslation could be argued to be a criminal act outright, as the lolcalizer is outright ripping off the customer.
 
This is my attempt at cleaning up all of the currently known information surrounding the Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis translation and compiling it into a single post:

But yes, the Blaustein family is known for troonery, their brother Adam Blaustein trooned out and voiced Meowth for example.

It's always "Japanese doesn't culturally translate to English 1 to 1, this is closer to what they actually mean."

There was a controversy a while back where they literally subbed a group of people saying "Merry Christmasu!" at a Christmas party as "Happy Holidays!" The justification was "Japanese people don't celebrate Christmas the same way as Westerners, therefore this is more appropriate."

They don't believe it, they just say it because they think it'll get you to be quiet

Blaustein did whatever he wanted with the script of MGS and SOTN, and was fired from Konami when Kojima caught wind of several of his fan-fiction insertions. He's always been a hack who was lucky to work on some of the greatest masterpieces in the history of gaming doing the heavy lift for him. To this day he still believes MGS wouldn't have become such a success in the west without his liberal interpretation of it.
