I'm close to halfway through the premiere but I had to stop and say fuck sansa, what a terrible character

she's basically a no personality retard who gets led by the nose by everyone. i dont know why she suddenly thinks she's shrewd and cunning when she was getting raped on a daily basis after being sold yet again to some dude like, one week ago

best guess is she had to learn how to play the game of thrones which requires being kind of a dick so that's my theory
that plus it wasnt like kings landing was fair to her as well
 
nah its just that now that she's hanging out with littlefinger and he's taught her a couple of things she suddenly thinks shes a schemer because she's got no personality and just becomes whatever people expect her to become

and while im at it, the sequence with the chamber pots went on way too long in way too many details it felt like grrm just straight up trolling

Why do you think GRRM had anything to do with this?

Also this episode was a huge piece of shit, so I think the Sam stuff was a metaphor. Attended a viewing party and the only scene people loved involved Sandor. Arya is a mess. Greyjoy's have a massive fleet out of nowhere. Sam traveled two seasons to learn something Stannis told him but he didn't think was important. They're pretending that Varys never tried to have Dany killed in season 1. Strap in, because the spoilers confirmed how this season will be a massive train wreck, it's only going to get more embarrassing.

Books aren't ever finishing, we'll get TWOW and that's it. The show is just going to continue being good guys v bad guys, generic garbage for mouthbreathers. Also you're going to hate Sansa more come episode 6.

Yeah I weren't expecting much as the first episode of a Season is never really exciting, it just sets shit up. The Hound scenes were cool, especially when he ragged on Thoros's topknot. The scene with the Wight Walkers was perfectly atmospheric, and Arya wiping out the Freys was pretty great. However, I do wonder how Ser Friendzone ended up in Oldtown and what role he's going to play.

Sansa needs to fuck off though. And Ed Sheeran should get brutally slaughtered by Arya, just because.

Holy fucking asscrackers, I don't know what you spergs are screeching so hard about. I enjoyed this episode. I mean, despite the fact that A) 3 1/2 of the leaks in the Reddit post were pretty much confirmed in this episode, so I'm starting to no longer doubt the authenticity of it which worries me because the whole "Wall falls down while Jon and Dany fuck" just sounds cringey as fuck. B) What @Internet War Criminal said about Sansa being all cunning and shit now all of the sudden. Bitch needs to hurry up and die or get knocked down a few pegs. C) The chamberpot scene. It was funny for awhile, but then it was just like, "Alright, get on with the fuckin' show already, shit."

I thought the ep. was fine and I'm actually totally cool with the leaks if they turn out to be true. It could be the dumbest shit in the world but if the execution is great I won't give a shit what they throw at me. I'm just happy the show is back after that seemingly endless hiatus.

Sansa is not getting knocked down at all, I hope you're ready for people like Arya and Bran praising her while shitting on themselves.

And yeah if you just turn your brain off, Game of Thrones is great. Wonderful set locations, beautiful lighting (when they aren't using that blue filter over everything north of the Twins), and some great acting. Shame that they completely gave up on the writing (and the costumes, judging by how everyone wears evil black leather now). The problems with GoT come from if you actually try to pay attention to anything the characters are saying.
