You know how after singers die their managers start releasing old discarded songs or first takes or whatever to keep selling records for a few years more? I think George's estate will do the same, once he is dead they'll announce that winds was "mostly complete" (hell maybe it is true the book is mostly done) and release it, then they'll start publishing any incomplete manuscripts or napkin notes he hasTWOW may come out, maybe. It may not.
But Dream never will.
I'm of a similar mind myself. However, unlike Tolkien who kept extensive manuscripts of ideas that only needed to be put to paper in a coherent manner, I imagine Martin's manuscripts and notes being all over the place. I don't think he'll accept his series being Sanderson'd after his death, so that's about all we'll be able to have. You know how after singers die their managers start releasing old discarded songs or first takes or whatever to keep selling records for a few years more? I completely agree, the thing is a dead writer has an big advantage over a dead singer, you can just hire a ghost writer have him shit out a full book and claim that is Martin's TRUE & HONEST vision compiled from his manuscripts (even if they don't exist, the public won't know) whereas in a dead singer's case you would need to find someone who can make an almost perfect impression of the late singer's voice. At any rate I think its gonna be hilarious if George lives way past 100, with the book still unreleased and him still claiming to be "hard at work" on it.I'm of a similar mind myself. At the end of the day, I've made peace with it. I think that the entire GoT shitshow, more than any other show, has made me extremely wary of buying into any more hypes. It doesn't matter if it's a book saga, manga, comic, videogame, TV show, etc. I don't think I will ever approach anything ever again unless it's completely finished and word of mouth is still good after the ending.
he doesn't even watch his own show, why is he even saying anythingPeter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).
He says that they wanted to see the "pretty white people ride off into the sunset." I like Peter Dinklage but this is a pretty shit take. And I wasn't even invested in the show.
Actually, I wanted to watch Tyrion tear those "pretty white people" a new one with his cunning, so they can face a larger, more imminent non-human threat that will wipe out all life as we know it. A smart person would comment on how that's kind of what humanity has to do irl to face some of its current, prosperity and way-of-life threatening issues. But nope.Peter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).

People have, just because a bunch of Twitter Fujoshis ask you about why John Snow didn't fuck Tyrion doesn't mean the actual fans haven't moved onPeter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).

I mean... isn't that basically the ending we got? Jon rides off into the sunset to hangout with his Northern friends, Arya sails off into the sunset to explore the world, and the kingdom is now ruled by a bunch of fan favorites (pretty much all white people).Peter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).

People did move on. From both the show and the books. I literally have never seen a franchise die as suddenly as GoT. With other franchises, like Terminator, Simpsons, Star Wars, etc., the death was slow, like seeing a friend start giving into drugs and seeing life drained out of them, still technically living but a shadow of their former selves. GoT was like a shotgun blast to the face and what was left of the body being thrown into a meat grinder. Hype died overnight, and nobody is even bitching about it anymore. The only people that are invested are people that hang onto the barest glimmer of hope that Gurm will one day release Winds of Winter.Peter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).

Joke's on you, half-man. I moved on after Season 2. I also gave up on the idea that GRRM would ever finish ASOIAF.Peter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).

I wonder if shippers keep bothering Peter Dinklage that's why he responded like that?I mean... isn't that basically the ending we got? What a mental midget.
Who else cares about this fucking show except Fat...Ugly..Dirty...Shippers?I wonder if shippers keep bothering Peter Dinklage that's why he responded like that?
Got a point. That's why I was wondering if shippers keep asking or sending mail of why he didn't suck any of the characters they were shipping him with cock in the finale. And that's why he said that.Who else cares about this fucking show except Fat...Ugly..Dirty...Shippers?
Oh 100%, Shippers do that shit all the time.Got a point. That's why I was wondering if shippers keep asking or sending mail of why he didn't suck any of the characters they were shipping him with cock in the finale. And that's why he said that.
I think shippers are the reason why some actors form any franchise are hostal towards fans.Oh 100%, Shippers do that shit all the time.
Shippers are the only thing worse than Fags, Niggers, Furries and SJWs combined.
This reminds me of Levar Burton’s whole racism shtick in regards to Star Trek.Peter Dinklage tells GOT fans to move on (archive).

Dinklage, who will next be seen in the upcoming movie "Cyrano," said one of his favorite moments from the finale was when Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) dragon burned the throne.
"Because it sort of just killed that whole conversation, which is really irreverent and kind of brilliant on behalf of the show's creators: 'Shut up, it's not about that,'" Dinklage added, referencing David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
