The only practical use GameFAQs has anymore besides the FAQs are cheats and save files. And I guarantee you those will not last forever. I think archive.org has a backup of most of the FAQs but the cheats and save files need to be backed up too

Only good thing GameFAQs has going for them are the ability to download save states from other consoles. If they get rid of that, they are toast.

hockeybabe (formerly, hockeybub) was an obnoxious far left canadian doompooster IIRC that transitioned (MTF) like a year ago. he ran afoul of the far left crowd on the board for some lukewarm centrist opinion on something, i don't remember what, then he beefed with the other trannies, got suspended, and AFAIK you can no longer get on CE if you have severe moderations in your history, so he probably closed his account over that. i don't remember him ever being doxxed, and he posted of his own accord his general location, occupation, and fucking selfies so it's not like it matters anyways.

acemos is a legit retard though (like clinically) so her posts aren't worth thinking too much about.

Current Events was insufferable even then. With how the most popular users were minors spreading nudes of themselves and others crossing the continent to have sex with other minors, looking back it should have the same reputation discord does now.

to be fair, after they shuttered the politics board, CE became a lot more redditized as that's where all the politics refugees ended up. but yeah, it always sucked.

I may be wrong; but there's a chance that CyricZ, everyone's favorite Yakuza guide writer; may be using dummy accounts to boost his own rankings. The only problem is, he forgot to switch accounts before asking and then answering his own question.

Okay I just got a little curious; every fucking Q&A under Like a Dragon: Yakuza Pirate is fucking CyricZ asking and answering himself. If that's not pathetic enough, here's all the Q&A results for now. If you've got a keen eye, you may realize, that every question has been asked and answered within about 3 minutes, so yes I clicked on every question, and every interaction was CyricZ fucking talking to himself.

But like. Why use a sock at all? It was flat said when the feature was added that submitting and then answering your own question is fine if it's covering basic information or responding to something frequently asked. This isn't a system that needs to be gamed.
