Gamefaqs - An old gaming website that still exists somehow

I just realized you might be the reason I discovered Kiwifarms lol
Glad some lame idea spawned from a hangover helped ruin your life by signing you up to this den of terminal autism.
"How strangely erotic" was a response a user called DarkCobra posted to... something. I don't remember. He committed account suicide by writing a vulgar fanfic about CJayC and the mods having an orgy, iirc. It sparked a wave of account suicides on that particular board (LUE).
Wasn't the text of that account suicide used as a copypasta? Because I have vague recollections of seeing something like that more than once. Or was it an entire genre of account suicides to write about hotpocket orgies?

I don't remember if it became a copypasta, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did. The only part of it I remember is CJayC being a fat wife-beater and telling Shadotak to "bake a pie, apple pie!" and her crying. Also someone gave DarkCobra their account and he continued an account suicide with that one, too. Said something like "Thanks for giving me your account, idiot."

I found an archive of a different account suicide invoking Shadotak but I don't know if anyone gives enough of a shit to bother posting it.

Here's a horribly formatted website that has pages of history for GameFAQs. I don't think it has links to go forward or back, so I had to use the "site:" thing to make it easier to find the pages.

He was somewhat of a character himself, from what I remember hearing.
DarkCobra was infamous but not really that interesting. Just a particularly angsty, fedora tipping teenager.

Ahh Gamefaqs, i first found this site back in 97. Was my goto website when i got stuck into sections for over an hour and couldn't find out what to do. Frequented the forums for the longest time. Kinda stop going to it back in 2007 when Wiki's for individual games started to become a thing.

Most of my time was spent on WoWpedia.org

How long to beat has the GBC version clocked in at 28 hours. Probably as a high estimate too judging by other games I saw on the site. That's a long weekend if you binge it. The first 2 Dragon Quest games are fairly short for JRPGs, especially the first one since it's so simplistic compared to the rest of the series.
yeah iirc they curved the grind waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down since it was basically a history lesson

I seriously hope someone archives the whole game info side of GameFAQs. I'm glad the site didn't shut down just yet.
There's probably enough in Archive.org to work with if the worst happens. Besides, you did archive your favorites, right? Hell, I'm pretty sure I have some saved years ago in an AppleWorks 6 document.

As if I needed more proof that Gamefaqs is entirely faggots now, I don't see anyone saying that faggot muppet Arlo.

Let's see what gamefaqs thinks about JK Rowling... yikes.

That was yesterday and it is pushing to 500, and it is on PART 9, so there are 4000 more messages complaining about JK Rowling:story:

We found a live one. I thought the "Trans women are WOMEN:'(!" people the Nazis on this board keep bitching about were just a strawman. But only on gamefaqs do you find the purest of autisms.

SBAllen, the admin of gamefaqs, stated that the userbase of gamefaqs is 90% liberal, so that is why there is this perceived left wing bias. But it doesn't explain nonsense like this:

Imagine simping for a global corporation that has a stranglehold on children's media and thinks it is above the law just to own the conservatives:

Sounds about right by GameFAQs standards, they'd throw anyone and anything under the bus that prevents them from consooming children's entertainment well into adulthood.

Of course, leave it to Allen Tyner, a guy that dressed like this, to facilitate such a hellhole:

Oh yes, his username used to be SailorBacon but changed it to SBAllen because reasons. I forgot that he looks like Dahmer in drag.

90% of the users are liberal because the mods literally targeted and out anyone who took part in wrong think.

SBAllen would be smart to just close the boards down. They're pretty fucking worthless at this point. But then he'd have zero social interaction.

That is, if you believe that the site itself generates enough traffic to stay afloat like they claim. I personally don't see people really needing guides for games anymore thanks to youtube. They claim "we need them for retro games" but there are so many longplays of everything now it's not really true.
