He even said it in the video: "if you're already doing all of this, make your own fucking video".

This AI shit is really starting to turn the general merits of people into full-blown laziness. Having people rely on ChatGPT for general information is already a bad sign.
I'm starting to wonder if this was the plan all along.

Computer owners in the 90's and early 2000's:
Smart self-sufficient chads that were left to their own devices. Could do whatever they wanted and were able to fix their own shit

Computer owners now:
Your OS does everything for you because apparently you're too fucking stupid to know any better. Asks you a bajillion questions when you dare do something out of the norm. Hardware is soldered to the motherboard of all laptops because fuck you.

He's not wrong about Thiel, and people who have been following the history of Oracle and Palantir have likely know about all this for years. It's been getting mainstream enough I wonder if Oracle/Palantir will pull a Monsanto at some point and get bought up by other companies for a rebrand.

At the same time, Steve is getting into gritty political stuff here. He's getting into Greenland stuff. He's putting on the tin foil hat gag, which is cute and all, but far from bringing up .. The Club of Rome or something along those lines. He is talking about Big Orange, and I'm curious if a % of his mega-maga viewers might tune him out for stuff like "...the Mar-a-Lago bribery event..," even though he does stab at both parties in other videos.

If he doesn't bring up Nancy Pelosi making a fortune with her Nvidia shares I'll be disappointed.

It always starts with ‘both sides are corrupt :smug: ‘ and ends up as ‘trans rights are human rights:ramona:

I keep telling you guys steve is a snake

His consumer advocacy stuff has to go on the side channel but this is prime main channel content? Incredible

This is a jumping the shark moment: zero discussion about hardware at all, let alone consumer hardware relevant to gaming. Just pure sperging about Theil. Where the hell was Steve during Covid lockdowns? Was he this much of a ‘consumer advocate’ about that?

‘B-but a lot of gamers use Discord!’ Okay that’s fair, except the Discord discussion is like 10% of the video. Most of it is mindless sperging about Palantir.

The abyss gazes back.

I wish he was more critical of Discord, from the furries in charge who are into babyfur content, to the corporations abandoning their dedicated forums for a Discord server where they can ignore the customers' feedback.

Yeah. When Steve finally goes mask off, the kiwis here will cope so hard about it like with meat Canyon even though they were warned about it from the start. These tech tubers are not your friends. How about researching tech for yourself instead of relying on some greasy Jesus hippy leftist to do it for you?

I understand people being a little frustrated with the content of the channel lately, but on the other hand, genuinely what kind of consumer advice can he give these days? "Don't fucking buy computer parts." It's all ridiculously overpriced, chugging along trying to do the same style of reviews for products that are all unaffordable wastes of silicon seems more retarded. There is enough to talk about regarding the industry right now, and as much as a bummer it is, it seems more productive.

He should use this opportunity to take a couple of weeks off.

1. Vacation. Has this guy ever taken a break?
2. He can talk about used/legacy products. Even if it’s treading old ground, he can talk about updates, how well newer games can run, etc.
3. He can talk about software aspects like how well Nvidia’s app works at optimizing settings vs trial and error, etc. Windows vs. Linux vs. Mac gaming, stuff like that.
4. He can do behind-the-scenes videos, how they set up benchmarks, what they are working on for the future, etc.

The fact he doesn’t do any of that makes me wonder if he even plays games at all.

thread for context?

Thread tax: gamer's nexus will just say whatever he thinks his audience wants him to say. That's just the nature of tech tubers.

NVidia is being sued by YouTubers over Piracy
TL;DW - NVidia is pulling the same crap Meta pulled regarding training its AI.
