[...] before China either wins the AGI game or builds enough hardware to go full Palantir mode, lock down Taiwan, and reshape Asia overnight, or worse, completely dominated the economies of europe and canada with cheap cars and phones that they can subsidize since there's no actual capitalism there for nationally important companies like huawei and byd that are de facto arms of their goverment, [...]
Exactly. China has been abusing the tariff system for decades. That's why Chinese companies like Aliexpress, Shein and Temu can saturate the market with cheap crap, it costs them nothing to export that shit.

Intel is only 4% of the market share, although that is kind of disingenuous since most of them are the onboard gpu on processors that a lot of poorfags and notebook people are forced to use.

Heck, Intel's arc series on total have less market share than a 2017 embedded intel gpu.
I'm amazed the entire project hasn't been axed, something i could see them doing is becoming a niche product for enthusiasts and professionals since they don't gimp their boards like nvdia does for AI and professional work by forcing you to pay for a quadro variant, and they have better linux drivers than AMD, or they are keeping it around since it helps their onboard gpu development, which is now approaching apple silicon on graphics in notebooks:

Also the Steam Survey is opt-in, so the numbers can't really be trusted.

The same people that complain there's no jobs anymore and there's a line of homeless fentanyl addicts on their street corner are the same who think tariffs are evil, lol.

Try living here, there's a 92% import tariff in my shithole and we don't build shit, acting like 10% is the end of the universe is hilarious.

Lets break this down in a way that a retard can think. Lets say you have box. This box is worth 10 dollars. It takes you 2 dollars to produce the box. This means you get 8 dollars of profit. Someone comes up to you and forces you to give them a dollar for every box you produce. This raises the cost to produce a box to 3 dollars. This means you only get 7 dollars of profit. You want to have 8 dollars of profit. Your shareholders REALLY want 8 dollars, and will fold the moment a loss of profit is seen the next shareholder meeting. What do you do? There are two answers and none of them are good.

overall china can afford to export cheap shit and even scam people because the chinese goberment doesn't accept litigations against their people from foreigners, hell they hardly care about local litigations as long as the end goal is profits for the grorious chyna, you can't tie yourself to retarded rules that your enemies don't follow, not even opponents, straight up fucking enemies...

another monkey getting buttfucked in the jungle, come to brazil thread to philosophize about how you'd like to be buttfucked.

You know, they want to out-tariff Chy-nah in the EU now by setting a fixed €3 customs duty on imports valued at less than €150, but one practical problem is that the EU doesn't produce almost any of the stuff they're trying to make importing pricier. It will just make life more expensive for everyone. Think of all those little electronic goodies, cables, adapters, etc. No money in the world can buy a product that doesn't exist, and those things aren't locally made, they're all made in Chy-nah.

If the western countries want to out-compete Chy-nah, they will have to re-establish themselves as the industrial powerhouse they once were, providing real jobs and products to their people, leaving the Chinesium behind instead of just making it ever more expensive to buy. If taxation is theft, so are tariffs.

One big part of it is that china got a say in things when it comes to post/shipping and immediately declared themselves a group 3 country just like Gabon in Africa. So the Universal Postal Union gives them incredible discounts on shipping internationally. In the end YOUR postal service actually pays for the free shipping of Temu shit because your postal system pays into the UPN-fund that China takes advantage of.

It’s really eye opening how the sentiment in this thread shifted over the past few months. @George Lucas was right again.
I'd like it if Steve:
- Just admits that shitting on the tariffs was a shit idea and give Trump some credit on implementing tariffs THE RIGHT WAY, unlike what Biden, Obama and Regan (you know, the other presidents has has lambasted on his tariffs videos) has done.
- Go back to hardware reviews, which is what his original purpose of the channel was built for.

I have said it before and I'll say it again: his direction is landing him straight directly to what happened to Upper Echelon Gaming. He either needs to cut his shit out or he will repeat history like every youtuber.

he gets a lot more views by doing what you want him to go back on though... more views mean potentially more paypiggus...
also current tech world is gay due to the stall caused by clankers, if anything he will run out of content, until 2027 when ram starts to be produced again, right? or it's 2030?

Maybe in the short-term, but people are already getting tired of the messaging. Look at how disappointed his fanbase was with the documentary.

Idk, I still think you’re retarded.

Doing things the ‘right way’ by changing tarriff amounts day by day, sometimes multiple times a day, announcing these changes via twitter or truth social rather than through any official method, and doing all this through dubious legal grounds that have now been ruled unconstitutional. How dare companies complain about being subjected to this. How dare Steve platform their seditious complaints. Don’t they know that Orange Man has never done anything wrong in his life? Why can’t Steve just sperg about immigration. Why can’t Steve just agree with me? How dare he.
- Go back to hardware reviews, which is what his original purpose of the channel was built for.
He never stopped doing hardware reviews. A large part of his channel has always been talking about gaming/PC hardware news, not just doing reviews. The big news in PC hardware is how it is suddenly in the center of the government’s attention and has been at the forefront of things like tarriff policy and the AI push. Formerly consumer focused companies suddenly shifting to enterprise thanks to the massive boom in AI, how they have gotten into bed with the government to enable this, and how the government in turn has trampled over ordinary citizens in service to the grand AI vision is something worth talking about, and it is relevant to PC hardware when many of those companies are PC hardware companies.

There’s a lot to criticize about Steve’s approach. Alex Pretti being violently murdered by federal officers wasn’t really relevant to Lisa Su being in bed with the Trump administration. I think his fearmongering about personal computers being replaced with thin clients is kinda dumb. That’s been a proposal since the 90s and it has never gotten off the ground, not because computers weren’t fast enough or datacenters weren’t big enough, but because of fundamental technical issues with the concept. Even in our hyper connected modern world, there will be times where you want to use your computer but can’t connect to the internet. A computer that can connect to the ‘cloud’ is more useful than one that can’t, but one that can’t do anything unless it’s connected to the ‘cloud’ is less useful than either.

Actual hardware-related video(s) being released (few more in the future)

TL;DW - Underperforms AMD and even Intel's own earlier chipsets ( i7 & i9 ). Gaming is 50/50, but it works better in non-gaming situations. Downside is that you need to install software from Intel (outside of drivers, which Windows will NOT automatically pull to install) in order to actually use it correctly. Also dick jokes.

Finally some good fucking food.

For its specs, not bad since it is supposed to be a form of entry-level CPU. But of course, Intel being Intel, there is always a goddamn catch. Also, their naming sucks ass and I still can't get used to anything beyond the 14th gen CPUs.

SQRT(5) is Officially Confirmed the Fundamental Unit of Reality.
