I forget how long ago was this but from what I know Google made some changes regarding Ad Sense in how much money a content creator can make per viewer which has started to hinder the revenue of websites like Kotaku and Buzzfeed and it also doesn't help that a lot of these pop culture websites that lean Left were also running on venture capital and now that most of the venture capital money is running out these Lefty pop culture websites are holding on to a mere thread anyway.
