Sony has acquired Firesprite which is a Liverpool based development studio.

Now people may get feels and start talking about Wipeout since that was also made in Liverpool by Psygnosis....except Firesprite is being run by people who did work on the original Wipeout at Psygnosis which later became Studio Liverpool.

Their previous games included The Playroom and The Persistence which were both VR based games. So it's assumed that they'll be continuing work with VR releases because there's supposed to be a VR headset for PS5 coming.

I'm pretty sure Giant Bomb is dead now. They're resorting to posting clips of their premium content to YouTube in hopes to reel in the older fans. Sadly it's just clips of Grubbsnax, this terrible news show where some guy from another gaming publication with a shitty mic tells us news.

I bet Jeff regrets contracting him for this show since he hasn't really broke any major news the way Klepeck did back in the day, he just has some lukewarm takes. I could go on about how much I lament the state of Giant Bomb in 2021 but it's basically a shitty curator of sub par content now.
