Anyways, Bub dropped a new video that, (once you look past the moral grandstanding about "Nazi RP" and the ethics of allowing slurs and racist speech in a community) is very similar in style and purpose to a KF thread. It talks about a 1942 RP server owner who doxed himself as being part of a supposed neo-nazi organization. Good watch. Got some laughs out of it, again despite the annoying soapboxing about how allowing people to say slurs in your community is evil. Other than that, it's funny. The positive reception to this style of content also serves as a good indicator to the fact that, even though we have a status as the Internet boogeyman for our "stalking", everyone loves good documentation on a lolcow.

Bub Games just released a follow-up to his original video documenting Garry's Mod Five Nights at Freddy's roleplay servers and the degenerates that inhabit them. It's a really entertaining saga. I really think he'd fit in well on the Farms and I wouldn't be surprised if he lurks here, though he does do some annoying fearmongering and virtue signaling about Nazi RP and the use of slurs in a few of his other documentary-style videos, I actually lean more into believing he doesn't fully buy into that mindset and is just saying it for the brownie points, as he's called people "retarded" and "brain damaged" in some of his trolling content.


In the month since that video's release, a few of the pedophile furries he covered in his first video have had massive cow-tier meltdowns, apologizing for spamming CP/explicit cub art in Bub's Discord server. He also has direct interviews and interactions with a few of them, where they attempt (poorly in a very autistic fashion) to justify and explain why they aren't actually pedophiles for saving and gushing about art of young furry children getting fucked. One of these deviants makes a shirtless apology video where he claims "video games were his life" but now he's getting a better grasp on reality, which is met with predictably negative reception. This causes him to follow it up with a video where he renounces that apology, doubles down on consuming CP/cub art and then challenges the Internet at large to do something about it. He is swatted shortly afterwards and then begs to be left alone. :story:

Is Nazi RP a real category of regular RP or am I right to suspect it's really just nerds filming themselves being ridiculous and the pearl clutchers react to it?

"Nazi RP" refers to 1942 RP and other such things, and yeah its basically a DarkRP server with the coat of paint of 1940s germany. Its really a mix of both from what i can tell, with people shitting around on a server saying outrageous shit and then stick in the mud faggots acting all shocked and appalled the people who play as Nazis in a video game are not warriors of social justice or whatever.

I find the whole Nazi RP thing really annoying because its a case of a Weird (But harmless) group people having fun in their own community and outsiders coming in, shitting it up and acting like the people inside said community are the bad ones, and causing so much of a shit storm regarding this community the community is now being forced to break up. A tale pretty common in most places now.

While he does harp on about it being a Nazi RP server a bit too much in that video, the clear focus of it was the server owner who screamed at Planned Parenthood buildings and joined a paramilitary larp group only to be immediately shat on by Antifa fags the first time they actually went out to a protest. This all being on top of his retardation when it came to actually managing his RP servers. The only experience I have with 1942 RP (And most GMod RP in general) is Bub's videos, and in them they do just seem like any other RP server, just with Nazi Germany painted over it. They're all filled with the same manchildren that get upset whenever someone ruins their "immersion".

The thing is this has expanded past one server owner, its a entire gamemode getting nuked because of youtube trolls who went on servers and drew too many eyes to a niche community. Nazi RP is no different from the other Dark RP servers yet since it breaks a taboo, it gets single outted and killed.

I feel like when i complain about this stuff i come of as someone mad my hobby is being ruined, and while that is the case, i've never played on any DarkRP server let alone Nazi RP.

My Issues with this is how indictive it is of the wider change in online culture. Gmod was one of the last bastions of the internet i knew. Shit used to be simpler, no one gave a shit what you really did as long as you were in your own little areas, people who took this shit too seriously were faggots and got laughed at. Less than 5 or 6 years ago, you going into Nazi RP and messing around and having a laugh would have just been a funny video. But now it ends with a entire community being depersoned and removed from the game. People who never once touched the gamemode or even Gmod itself now have this righteous anger to stomp out a small group of people for nothing more than having fun in a autistic way. They don't go this hard against the FNAF servers that 100% are ran by groomers, Garry isn't banning known bad servers, he's taking down totally insular communities because people went in and shined a light on them for nothing major. None of these fucks* are thinking ahead from the fallout of this, they just see something they think is bad and attack, logic and forward thinking be damned. Where do these "Nazis" and "Racists" go after their servers go down, huh? What if you get put in the crosshairs next? Its all so tiresome.

Ratlobber has been criticized before on here but I didn't really 'get' why until now. Guy's a faggot who thinks Garry should have ultimate control over a product that has essentially been in the hands of it's community for well over a decade and Garry himself should barely care about now with his pet project of many year s&box.

Clickbaiting with the title 'gmods most hated addon' when even he admits nobody gave a shit for years until Garry randomly decided to be a fag about it when some rando brought it to his attention cements his jackassery.

At this point I just assume any content creator associated with Source is a faggot, until proven otherwise. Community's too far gone.

Ratlobber also defended that addon creator who made and released a free version of their mod that took People's IPs and publicly posted the IPs and shamed them on their website, even called the fucker Batman.

Ratlobber and to a extent Richterovertime are both simps for Garry and seem to try their best to walk the fine line between their actual opinion and what the general, non gmod playing public will agree with. I don't think either one is truly as bad as they come off as in videos, but it can't be ignored how they do have very clear bias towards certain people.

Garry's mod is a bitch to play when you have to download everything on earth, but It is truly one of the last "wild west" videogame experiences on the internet. Dam shame to hear they are cracking down on it.
