As someone who uses Garry's mod primarily for RP servers I see this as just an opportunity to scale those gamemodes up with the new engine. s&box will be over moderated, but it wont have a child audience, everywhere on the internet is overmoderated now anyway so I don't care.

Roblox has far more advanced roleplay servers than garry's mod with the only problem being I don't wanna socialise with a bunch of fucking children. So for my extremely niche use case, I can see myself getting value from s&box.

It's an experience I hope doesn't die, I've made countless shitposts using clips from those goofy RP servers.

This creepy doctor lured me into a room with a scroll that kills you and forced me to /roll to save my life. He got distracted by someone on the radio and I managed to slip out and lock the door behind me, I heard his screams in the distance as I ran away. Felt like Outlast.

It's niche for sure, most people will join those servers, realise killing is naughty, get bored and leave. But that hasn't stopped Garry from sticking his nose in their business before.

Popular Garry's mod YouTuber Bub Games has just started his own Australian ARG where he pretends to be a homeless man surviving the forbidden land of Perth with the assistance of what seems to be dark magic involving holes. Here's the ARG summarised thus far:
'update'
It's implied that Bub is now homeless, describing his previous housing situation as "untenable" but doesn't go into further detail. He's recording this video from a public library on a 7-8 year old laptop saying it's the only thing that will fit in his bag (this will be relevant later) which he's hot spotting from his phone. Everyone in the Library is giving him looks and he says there's no guarantees of usual content any time soon. The footage in the background is from an empty DarkRP server, Bub runs past somebody standing still and points to him with his physgun for some reason. There's not much activity throughout the video except for the end where a player becomes 'Blight' which doesn't sound like a usual job in DarkRP but I could be wrong.

'update two'
Bub's mic quality takes a dive in this one because his mouse and headset but not his laptop got stolen after he walks away for a few minutes. He says he doesn't understand how he didn't notice as both items were in his periphery. The gameplay footage is an empty DarkRP server again but the map has been changed to night time and a B-hopping Alyx is flying around at great speed. At the end of the video we see 'Testicle Tickler' kill 2 people with a missing texture. My theory is 'Testicle Tickler' is the Alyx that's flying around.

'update three'
Bub's first night sleeping in the bush. He got a car seat from ??? and is sleeping on it with his backpack as a pillow. Unfortunately he forgot to remove his laptop from the bag before his nap resulting in his laptop breaking and becoming warped. Bub has placed a cup of 2 minutes noodles in the sun hoping it will boil the water, from the look of it, this plan has not yet bore fruit. For money, Bub is getting it twisted and 'invested' in a few scratchies in hopes of making his money back. He loses and says he must invest more in scratchies to start winning. Sounds of vehicles can be heard in the background, so Bub has not yet ventured far from civilisation.

'life is good'
Bub opens by saying "there was a polydrive rivet around here somewhere..." and it's unknown why he's looking for it. He's digging a hole with his hands and says he's "just been digging holes". He continues digging this hole before becoming very quiet and whispering "it sees me..." which he continues to mutter 3 times without saying anything else. This could be one of three things, the 'Blight', the Testicle Tickler or his own psyche failing him. I'd also theorise "it" was who stole his logitech headphones and mouse.

That's all for now, I'll update when new content is available.

Yes, yes it is. However, the people running those servers are worse than him and I don't care how based you think noozis are. Besides, they rolled over immediately after being threatened about the swastikas because the $50 a month they were getting in donations was worth too much to them.

Didn't say they were based at all, I just find it cringe that he got offended over random nerds rping as Hitler's top guys, meanwhile he's a furfag which is arguably worst than the holocaust.

This personally was pretty hilarious and clever to me. I like how he trys to break gmod stuff in creative ways.

He spoke very minimally about the premise of the server itself, he definitely chose those servers specifically because they're easy targets but the content of the video was more to do with their out-of-character faggotry and total lunacy. In my opinion it's no different than what's done here and I wouldn't be surprised if he used this website as a source. I agree being a furfag is worse than the holocaust and I wasn't aware of this about him, I would not have been so good faith if I knew.

I only defend him because I don't want all gmod content to devolve into "I farted on the admin in the worst GMOD rp server!" and he's making a clear effort to pivot to more researched, Ratlobber esque content.

In regards to this gay ARG though, there are parts I find funny but generally I'd prefer if he wasn't wasting his time on it.
