I genuinely don't know what streaming services are popular in non-Western parts of the world, but a quick Google search shows that Spotify literally only launched its service in Korea this year, and just a few years ago Apple Music and YouTube Red were the only international music stores available in the country. It seems Melon and Genie are among the top music shops in Korea, and they do have Hololive stuff:


Not to disagree that the guy could just be sperging, but it doesn't seem that unusual that Korea would have its own popular streaming services. Also as far as I'm aware you don't need offices/an entire Korean vtuber branch to distribute your music there, do you?

Anyone got some personal favorites and a nice starting place? The Japanese and English tubers are fine. It just seems like a lot to dive into.

I'm personally only into BIG EVIL CORPORATE VTUBERS. I like the one sided aspect of biggers streamers , I watch very few Indies, the ones I do watch are pretty much just friends.

Honestly love Most of HoloEN for different reasons,, i'm day one HoloEN and they have all really come into thier own . But I regularly Watch Ina and Calli, Calli makes Dope music and Ina Makes dope ART.

For ID I think they're all cool, But I watch Ollie, Her energy and Kindness are top tier. she sometimes gets hardcore fingerblasted on stream though. * RISU IS A MEMELORD, CHEEKY LITTLE SHIT* Edit* Yes Reine tooo shes a very chill very dorky girl.

For JP I dont watch too many cause of my lack of Japanese comprehension, Watched Coco before she graduated , shes pretty funny speaks english and her archives are still up.

Botan is Probably my favourite JP Hololive, when she plays games like Trials or T.A.B.S. you don't exactly need to understand, her giggles transcend language, Korone is similar i can sometimes watch her streams regardless of understanding.

lol saying this probably won't make it sound any less crazy but *namirin was on a list of potential NijiEN/VSinger candidates that 4chan was tossing around a few months back, and at least two of the girls on that list really did turn out to be NijiEN. Now that only VSinger is left to be revealed people are speculating that the only recently-graduated girls "big enough" for Cover are Shachimu (some artist/animator memer with 1mil subs, no idea on her singing ability) and *namirin, so who knows. On a personal level, I've liked *namirin's covers since her early utaite days so it would honestly be really awesome if she finally got a big break after 10+ years of grinding as an indie.

If Cover goes for the “idol” approach for their Vtuber then I can see that they might try to tap into the Kpop market seeing that Kpop also has big impact in America and Mexico (actual music vs “tits asses sex or go to jail” theme of current American music)
That’s mean the Vsinger need to be somewhat Korean so IRyS could be some Korean idol reject (does not have the look that will sell, which is everything for Kpop nowadays) but has amazing voice so Vsinger is the best medium.

Actually I've seen quite a lot of korean donations recently across the board. Most noticeably for Kiara and Callie. But also for a bunch of JPs and the other ENs.

"Distribution" could be a mistake, translation error, or whatever. But based on the rest, I'd put a small amount of money on the album title being what he said.
