The reason why Hololive doesn't make that much J-Rock is more of a choice, since some of the members have covers from their past or roommates. Towa loves metal, Rushia's screaming is not only for laughs, she can sing with them really well too (her whole necromancy deal isn't just a theme, she is a pretty skulls and silver kind of girl.) A fucking shame they don't promote that side of them. Though... now that I recall, Rushia is barely hanging on a thread when doing any physical activity, so she may not be able to do her thing even if she really wanted... ):
Anyway, people recommending clips, there are so, so many to pick from! Here some classics from a guy that mostly watches the JP side (nobody on EN calls my attention):
this one perfectly presents you the goddamn usagi, she is an entire discussion to have; just dive in

if you want gameplay, have this absolutely underrated series of Luna playing Super Metroid; it's fucking criminal if had to few views; good intro to Luna Hime; don't let her persona fools you, she is classic gaming veteran, as well as a seasoned Monster Hunter expert (been playing the games since the PS2):

multiple interactions between generations, between all Hololive really is one of the most entertaining things about it; some people do all point of views videos that paint such an entertaining picture; it's live theatre really. Have the *adorable* Nene for example, watch how different all streams are from each other (and how together it's a whole slice of life anime episode.)
In the end, it was Nene chan as usualOriginalhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE5cmcJQMZYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSb2VH6cRLMhttps://www.youtube.com/wa...

most people have a superficial view about all the hologirls from JP, Coco wasn't only a riot, she was such a supporting and wise onee-san. There is a reason why she was always called "the coolest one" among all Hololive members:
Coco isn't just a brilliant entertainer. She has a wealth of life experience, and is willing to share it with chat in her Bar Coco streams, like this. One of...

95% of all Hololive JP side are otaku at their core, this is why I love them so much. Most are shut-ins, NEETS, failed idols, failed models, failed singers, failed voice actors, failed artists, country rural modest girls, shamed by their accent; all going for a last big try; it's them having this loser background, them grabbing it, moving forward and exploding in popularity thanks to their best parts finally being able to shine that set them so apart from everything the west have been doing streamer/personality wise. It's such a trip. Man, I'm not even touching how they do concerts, songs, live drawings, radio shows, etc, etc, etc. Not even all the characters, but they are so many (30+!)
Of course newer branches are different; and I'm just doing a very bland and quick statement about them. Just have fun, keep clicking the videos of the ones you find yourself enjoying, and be sure to install the LiveTL extension on youtube. It'll improve your streaming experience so much thanks to live translations.
